Property Summary
A beautiful and spacious self-catered cottage overlooking the stunning Exmoor countryside. The newly renovated cottage is beautiful, with generous living space, a cosy wood burner and boasts the best views of Exmoor. It is fully equipped and the perfect option for a self-catered break.
Main Description
Jasper Cottage has a large living space on the first floor with log burner and comfortable seating; a perfect spot to soak up the afternoon sunshine.
Sleeps up to 4 guests in two bedrooms
Both bedrooms can be made up as twin beds, or as super-king beds on request
Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms
Open-plan living area on the first floor
Cot, high chair and stair gate available on request
Dog/s welcome (maximum of 2) for £20 supplement each

Exmoor National Park on the doorstep - great location for exploring the moor

External stone steps with handrail lead up to the entrance door, which opens straight into the open-plan living area on the first floor, complete with with wood-burner, dining table and chairs, comfortable seating, and kitchen area. The stairs lead downstairs to both bedrooms on the lower ground floor. Both bedrooms have zip-link beds so can be made up as twin beds or super-king double beds. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room, and the other bathroom has a 'jack and jill' entrance (entrance door from the bedroom and from the corridor area) and comprises both a bath and shower, as well as toilet and hand basin.
Indoor Description
The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
The open-plan living area comprises a table with four chairs, wood-burner, and a smart TV and comfortable seating.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
£20 Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of the accommodation (ample for a week long stay). The temperature can be adjusted to suit your preferences if required. A basket of logs, some kindling and matches will be provided for the wood-burner in the cooler months.
There is access to communal washing machine and dryer, which is located in an external laundry room, shared with the other 3 holiday cottages.
High chair, travel cot, and stair gates available on request.
Outdoor Description
Jasper Cottage has a south-facing patio area directly beside the property with picnic bench (not enclosed) and BBQ. Plus a large shared garden and BBQ for guests sole use.
A children's play area complete with climbing frame, wendy house and picnic table is available for guests to use within the grounds.
The farm has more than 50 acres of ancient woodland, bubbling rivers and wild terrain to explore, should you wish to. In addition to this, it sits within Exmoor National Park.
Parking
Ample parking is available in close proximity to the cottage.
Pets Description
Dogs: Up to two dogs are welcome per booking, for supplement of £20 per dog.
Horses: There is a block of 4 stables available to rent on a DIY basis. A 2.5 acre well-fenced paddock is available for turnout. Water buckets and stable cleaning equipment are provided for your use. Horses are charged at £40 per horse, per stay.

Hawkridge sits amongst the hills on the southern side of Exmoor National Park, near the border between Somerset and North Devon, looking out over Anstey Common and Molland Moor.
Dulverton is approx 5 miles (15 minutes drive). It is a beautiful town on the banks of the River Barle, known as the southern gateway to Exmoor and it is also home to the head quarters of the Exmoor National Park. Dulverton is well equipped with shops including Post Office, butchers, bakery, fish & chip shop, greengrocer, late-opening supermarket, art gallery, hairdressers, guns and fishing tackle shop. There are also a number of quality boutiques, interesting gift shops plus a handful of lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs.
Withypool is also approx 5 miles, where you'll find a village shop, tea rooms and pub serving evening meals.
South Molton is around 12 miles away and is an interesting and lively country town, with a good selection of shops and pubs. Thursdays and Saturdays are market day with a local market in the historic Pannier Market hall, as well as a busy livestock market.
Exmoor provides a great base for walking, cycling, horse riding and exploring. It is also the place for anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautful English countryside. Hawkridge is within easy reach of Tarr Steps, The Chains - a wonderful place for the experienced walker, the Tarka Trail, the North Devon coastal path, Woody Bay and the Valley of the Rocks as well as Lynton and Lynmouth. The beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woollacombe are less than an hour away. There are a number of local National Trust properties nearby including Knightshayes, Dunster Castle and Arlington Court.
