Amazing location!

We couldn't have asked for a better location. It was beautiful, well accommodated, clean and when we needed anything someone answered immediately. Our only hiccup was finding the place because the name of the Retreat and the unit number wasn't in any of the communications we had received BUT as soon as we called they immediately answered and solved the problem.

Steps to the ocean

Great ground floor two-bedroom quiet property steps from the ocean. Rum Point has an old school Caribbean vibe that cannot be found most other places on the island. If you want to escape the crowds and be steps from some of the best water in Grand Cayman, this is the place for you.

Perfect location, superb accomodations

Visited at the end of July 2019 for 7 nights, 2 adults and 3 children. The condo had everything we could have possibly asked for. The location was perfect - close to BioBay and Starfish Point, Sting Ray city and you can snorkel right off the beach. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile beach and large tourist crowds, this is the place and #27 is an amazing home away from home! Plus, the views are unbelievable - you have to see for yourself!

Cayman Paradise

This is the perfect Cayman condo location! We came for the beach, water and sunsets; all were just a few steps away. The screened in porch offered shade and was a comfortable place to take in the scenic ocean view. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had modern updates. Wi-fi worked well, but it was so beautiful we never turned on one of the three televisions. We cooked every day and used the outdoor grill once; it had everything we needed. It was also nice to have the restaurant next door which has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. If you are looking for a relaxing Cayman vacation with fewer tourists this is the place.

Doesn’t get better than this! 20 steps to the turquoise sea. Snorkeling right there at your own beach🌴. Sea turtles, sting rays, and beautiful fish. Yards from Rum Point Club. House has MORE than you need. Gorgeous!!

Secluded location in Rum point, exactly like in an advert. Excellent apartment, AC , fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and glasses all in working order. Beach was usable and had access to the local restaurant and bar but this closed very early even before 8 pm which was real shame. Children enjoyed snorkeling, they were little disappointed it was not exactly seven mile beach but did enjoy walks down to Star fish point and local hotel. In summary great relaxing spot for family holiday

Absolutely amazing!

Book this property now! My family of five - with three kids ages 3, 7, and 10 - stayed in this gorgeous place for 6 nights. It was honestly perfect for us and had the most amazing view! You could literally see straight to the beautiful beach from the front door, kitchen, living room, main bedroom, and even the main bathroom! The location and views of this place made it one of the best condos at The Retreat at Rum Point (and the best beach property we’ve ever stayed at). It also was very comfortable with a king sized main bed, two full beds for my older kids and a pull out couch for my youngest in the living room. The place came fully stocked with tableware, kitchen utensils, cookware, etc. It also included various sand toys, a couple floats, and snorkeling equipment…but I would recommend bringing your own snorkeling equipment if you want to make sure everyone in your family has what they need because the snorkeling right outside your patio is wonderful. My 10 year old snorkeled everyday in our “backyard” beach/reef. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The place is even better and more spacious in person than the pictures. I honestly can’t think of one complaint! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful Condo

Overall, if you're looking for a change of pace this would be hard to beat. This unit is MUCH larger than it appears in the photos and it's in the most impressive location. Our only complaint was mother nature as the sargassum (red seaweed) was bad that week. We did move to 7 mile beach on the last day and the property manager/owner worked with us hassle-free. My sister had stayed in this same unit 4 years ago and also had issues with the sargassum so if you have kids and want to enjoy the water right outside this unit, this might not be your place...or we just happened to both be there at very unique/unusual times. Also, Rum Point restaurant was closed for renovations which was disappointing (they are opening back up in Nov/Dec) and made excursions difficult on this side of the island. All that said, we had an INCREDIBLE time and will be going back!

Good to be back

Retreat at Rum Point excellent as usual. Good to be back to the Cayman Islands, and a big thank you to both the Retreat and the people of Cayman for welcoming us back. The Condo was excellent, and it really does not get any better than this.

This property has everything we needed. Nice beach right in front of our porch, tennis court and swimming pool. There are easy snorkeling spots where our kids, 9 yo and 5 yo enjoyed watching fish. The house itself is clean and well maintained. The pictures don’t present the real house well which is much better. Also the property manager, Gigi, was super responsive and caring. We are sure to come back soon!

Fantastic experience!

We truly enjoyed our stay in the Grand Cayman. The North Side was truly special. This was the second time our set of two couples stayed in this facility. We stayed at this lovely home March 4 through March 14. We found this place very clean, fully equipped, and placed on a nice beach. While this side of the island is fairly quiet, there is still plenty to do. It’s a nice mix of having the opportunity to do a lot but at the same time just kick back and relax. This is truly a community at this facility. Everyone is so very nice and we found we were exchanging food and drinks as people were leaving. Just a fun place to stay! We would recommend that if you stay at rum point, you’d likely want to have a car. Again it’s a fairly quiet side of the island, but having the ability to go into other things is nice. Especially if you’re staying for more than one week. We did rent bikes this stay, and we’re glad that we did that. We would definitely recommend staying here. Many thanks to the owner and the management team for sharing their special home with us.

#27 was Fantastic!!!!

My two teenage girls and I had a fabulous time at The Retreat at Rum Point #27. The condo was even better than the pictures posted. It was beautiful, spacious, clean, and had everything that a family could need. The view from the patio was spectacular, and when we went outside to enjoy it, we usually had it all to ourselves. Several of our excursions required just a short walk to the dock at Rum Point. We would most definitely stay here again!!!

This property was exactly what we were hoping for. It was perfect for our family of 5!

We loved being able to go Snorkeling right off the beach. It was quiet and relaxing. The view from this unit is the best in the complex!!! We watched sunrises and sunsets just steps outside of the condo. The screened porch was awesome Bc the bugs are bad at night and in the morning. There was never a race to the lounge chairs on the beach. It was absolutely perfect!!! If we ever go back we will definitely stay in this unit again!!

Great Retreat #27

Everything was wonderful. The condo was spacious, immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, high end but understated furnishings giving the place a very classy feel. Central A/C worked great and had a working thermostat. Only issue is that the DVD player did not work nor did the TV on/off remote even after replacing the batteries. Someone came to lol at it and said they would be back but never came back. Other than that a wonderful hassle free week.

Great Vacation!

We loved staying at this quiet corner of the island - while you give up some of the luxury of Seven Mile Beach, it is overwhelmingly made up by the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of this area. Great Location!

Our first time staying at The Retreat at Rum Point. Really enjoyed it! The unit was great! Very comfortable and clean. Beautiful kitchen with everything you need...even an ice maker...key for making frozen drinks! The television even got the basketball games for our March Madness fans! The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms updated. Nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit. We would definitely stay here again!
