10/10 for location, we were able to walk to all places of interest. The apartment is on 4th floor; it was spotless and had modern decor and everything you need with a furnished terrace. There is a convenience store also next door. The host was very responsive and accommodated us with both early check in and late check out, highly recommend this apartment.

This apartment is in a great location. Perfect walking distance to several attractions and great restaurants. It was also a 10 minute walk to our son's apartment for his study abroad. The hosts always answered our questions quickly and were very helpful with all our needs.

The location was first rate. The check-in process was very simple. Parking, though probably not an issue with most guests, was unavailable at the property but easily found in Plaza de Oriente for a reasonable rate. The apartment was small but comfortable (there were three of us, but each bedroom could accommodate two comfortably. The view was spectacular, and even though the apartment is in the heart of the old town area, it was very quiet at night (as long as the windows were closed). I’d rent this property again without hesitation.

I was a bit disappointed when I walked in to the unit. The ceilings are really low and all the rooms and bathrooms in the apartment are really tiny, smaller than it looks in the pictures. If you are claustrophobic or just in general a tall/big adult, this place isn't for you. You can't even rotate your body around in the shower without hitting the walls. There is no space anywhere to put your suitcase so you can unpack your stuff. It was hard opening the shower door because it hit the towel hook area and dropped your towel to the ground.The sofa also smelled bad and the sink drain in the master bathroom wasn't working properly. The only redeeming quality was that the location was great. You can't get a better location if you're interesting in all the downtown things to do in Madrid.Overall though, we were very disappointed in the place.

The stay went very well. The location is ideal for visiting Madrid.

The apartment is charming and I like the interior design. I really enjoyed being in the heart of the city,There is a convenience store at the bottom of the building, and the metro is nearby. The neighborhood has many restaurants to suit all tastes.

This was my first VRBO. The property was very clean and the comunícation with property management/owner was excellent. Excellent location in heart of Madrid. Overall great experience. Highly recommend this place.

Location was superb. The apartment clean, though a small two bedroom apartment, it was good except the showers were very small and difficult to get in and out of. The terrace was lovely and we spent most of our time at the apartment sitting there. It was tricky opening the door to the apartment and there was a definite knack to it. But I must say the location was perfect

Great Location

Comfortable apartment in the heart of the old city. Easy walk to everything we wanted to stay and easy ride to train station for day trips. Apartment was clean and functional and terrace was a great touch.

Family vacation in Spain

We had a great time, and we couldn't choose a better place to stay, it's perfectly located, close to all the main attractions, you can walk to the metro. If you booked this awesome place, I'll recommend you to walk across the street and eat at the Mercado San Miguel, and have churros with chocolate at San Ginés.We're totally in love with Spain. I'll give this apparment

We spent 5 nights at the property and check in was very straightforward with Miguel being particularly helpful. The property is as described and the use of the (small) lift was most welcome. The apartment was clean throughout. Kitchen facilities were good although a bread knife would be useful. Beds were very firm and the shower cubicles are compact. However, the location is amazing and the terrace provides a great view down to Sol. It was a bit of a squeeze for a family of 4 but if you want a central location, you can't beat it.

Excellent location, beautiful apartment

We had a great stay at Heima Penthouse Old Town. Right on Calle Mayor, you can’t beat the location. The apartment was modern and bright inside and the rooftop terrace had the most beautiful views of the neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the space was maximized Fire comfort and storage. The bathrooms were small, but we didn’t have any issues in that regard. A larger person would have difficulty.

Great location just steps away from Mercado San Miguel and Plaza Mayor. Extremely tight quarters, especially the showers. There is no AC, but the unit uses radiant cooling from within the floor. The problem this creates is condensation on the floor. I recommend not using your outdoor shoes inside bc the floor condensation turns the dirt on your shoes to mud in the apartment. We opened the windows for air circulation but that brought bugs in.

When we got there, we were let in fine. We were only given one set of keys and we had to wait for the second set. Once inside we found the apartment to be very dirty. We had just gotten there and were beyond exhausted and had to wait for someone to come. The floors were filthy and in the master bedroom, there were what looked like wiped stains next to the left side of the bed that looked like feces. We got in touch with them and they sent one of their cleaners to come check. We showed him everything including the top of the cook top which was filthy. The sink in the second bathroom was so low, small and narrow that we adults couldn’t wash our faces or brush our teeth without water getting all over the floor. The pictures were definitley misleading. We were not given enough towels to clean up or use for personal hygiene. The man did give us a couple of extra towels but they had to be used to dry the floors. They had stuff left in the freezer that wasn’t cleaned out. All he did was spot clean.we could not communicate with him because he didn’t speak any English. He was panting as he was trying to spot clean and we tried to get him to do it correctly and then leave. It did not smell fresh at all as they generally do. Lots of bugs which happens but not as many as we saw. The couch was dirty and we couldn’t make the air cooler. We had to leave it at 24 or 25. All in all the balcony was lovely and we enjoyed our stay in Madrid with the exception of the cleanliness.

The bathrooms are very small but the showers are even smaller. They are only about 2ft by 2ft so be prepared if you are a larger person to have to make do with it. Other than that the love was really nice. Kitchens was great and the outdoor balcony was a nice touch. The property does have an elevator to the 4th floor but there is still one small flight of stairs to reach the room.
