Klina Home by Wonderful Italy

Charming and comfortable attic apartment on the second floor of a building without elevator in Catania.

The apartment is on one level. The entrance opens onto a small hallway that separates the various rooms, namely a bedroom with queen-size bed and closet, a bathroom with shower and a living room furnished with sofa, television and open kitchen equipped with oven, kettle and coffee maker.

Everything is illuminated by pretty skylights and scenic and peculiar "portholes."

*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.

The city of Catania boasts a splendid historical centre, protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its architectural wonders, but also the liveliness of the popular markets, the wild beauty of Mount Etna and the clear sea of the coast will captivate you.

The Cathedral of Sant'Agata (the city's patron saint), the Bellini Theatre, the popular markets, Via Etnea, the splendid Benedictine Monastery (home of the University's Department of Human Sciences) and Mount Etna are just some of the wonders of this city.

Of course, it is impossible to leave out the culinary delicacies of the Catania tradition, such as arancini (yes, here they are called masculine!), iris (fried or baked stuffed bombs), olivette di Sant'Agata and brioche with granita. Try them all!

And for lovers of barbecued horsemeat, a symbol of Catania's gastronomic tradition, a must is Via del Plebiscito, a street in the historic centre flooded with the unmistakable scent of the embers always burning.

Another not-to-be-missed stop just outside Catania is the coast, and in particular the Gulf of Acitrezza, an enchanting place that with its Faraglioni stacks was chosen by Giovanni Verga as the setting for his most famous novel, 'I Malavoglia'.

Catania Fontanarossa Airport is easily reached in half an hour by car, while Catania Centrale railway station is about a 1.5 km away.
