September Stay at Boundary Lodge

Couldn’t fault the accommodation, nice spacious living room/kitchen area, comfy bed and large secure garden, perfect for our 2 GSD. Very clean and lovely welcome pack.

Just what we needed

The lodge is in a small hamlet, tucked out of the way but within easy reach of places. We just wanted some quality P and Q for a few days and we were not disappointed. We had some fairly good weather too which helped. The lodge is equipped with everything you need for your stay. A lovely welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, fresh bread, real butter, marmalade and biscuits prevented us having to go straight out and do some shopping. The bed is very comfortable, as is the sofa. The lovely big walk in shower is great, but the white tiles can get a bit slippy - we just put extra towels down to be safe. Stephen was prompt at popping over to sort a little issue out for us, otherwise we were left I disturbed for our stay. The garden is a good size and great for our reactive dogs. We had hired a doggie buggy too for our eldest girl - it was very easy to fold down etc.

Fantastic lodge and location

Just had 7nts with our 4 teeny dogs and elderly mother and wow it was perfect for everyone. The welcome tray of goodies was lovely and the lodge is so clean. The sofa and beds are also super comfy. The lodge is located in great location for access to the broads and the beach so plenty to do.

We loved this cottage, very quiet location, spotlessly clean. Our dog loved the garden, it was fully enclosed. We look forward to returning.

Boundary Lodge was very nice and very good for the dogs. Loved the beaches especially Horsey Beach with its curious seals. The welcome pack was so welcoming! Just a couple of things we would have liked for the kitchen as we like to cook even on holiday!- an air fryer, champagne flutes, more than 2 egg cups, a four slice toaster, more pans, garlic crusher, a wok, chopsticks. Also if we had been there in the summer a sunshade for the garden bench plus a small picnic type table to use with the folding chairs if you were sitting under the lovely walnut tree. Not criticising at all but just suggestions. Many thanks Caron

Family break with the everyone

Lovely little place, fabulous garden for our 3 sausage dogs to explore. If I was looking to give one piece of feedback to improve it would be extremely hard to do as there is everything you need there, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. Lovely games room upstairs it would be great if there was a sofa bed up there for additional area for sleeping but I guess the stairs may put some off from sleeping up there. It was convenient for a day in the broads, a visit to the water gardens, Horsey beach to see the seals. I hope we will return again soon.

Perfect rest

A really lovely quiet place. Excellent comfort the beds are so nice too. Just had a restful week which after a hard year was just what was needed. Thank you.

A very nice Stay.

We enjoyed our stay in November, particularly because the weather was so mild and we were able to take a boat out on the Broads. We found the property very relaxing, quiet, and dog friendly.

Wonderful stay

It was a lovely stay in Boundary Lodge. The location was perfect for beautiful country walks from the door. Picturesque views from the garden. The garden was fully enclosed with high fencing to keep our four gorgeous runners (greyhounds) safe. Local amenities in close proximity. Welcome pack was a lovely treat. Catered well for four dogs.

short break with my 5 dogs in super cosy cottage. They loved the underfloor heating and the garden.

Lovely cottage well appointed, with fab garden for the dogs. Shame about the weather as wet walks in the surrounding area and the tide was often "in" when it was walk time, due to other commitments, but when the sun finally came out it was stunning. Love the area and will be back..

Wonderful holiday

Boundary Lodge was a wonderful property - clean, comfy, well-equipped, perfect for our children and dogs. It was peaceful and calm. Location-wise - ideal for getting to the Norfolk beaches (15 min drive), and for exploring the Broads (30 mins). We had wonderful weather and feel that the only thing missing from this property was an outside table and chairs set so we could all sit out and enjoy the surroundings and the sun. Other than that, a perfect place!

Country living but close enough to the beach

A big Thankyou for the flexibility on check in due to heatwave. Dogs enjoyed being unloaded into a spacious and shady garden. Very much appreciated by all of us! We loved the personalised welcome message on the blackboard and the goodie tray. That’s always fun - checking out the yummy treats! We enjoyed the lack of traffic noise here and the very dark nights. We slept well in the comfy bed. Our dogs enjoyed the coolness of the hallway. It’s a cosy place which was beyond spotless and has a lovely sunny kitchen. The garden gate is worth a mention. It’s truly dog-proof. Really well designed lock. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the sun-loungers and dining outside on the bench. We liked the quirky games area upstairs. The pool table provided entertainment one evening. Overall a very nice lodge/location.

Perfect stay in this cosy cottage!

We felt relaxed as soon as we opened the gate into the large secure garden. The cottage is very well equipped and was nice and cosy. Our dog loved the big, safe garden and we all enjoyed the treats in the welcome pack. Amazing walks from the cottage itself and only a short drive to the beach where we saw loads of seals and their pups. A perfect long weekend away. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Stay at Boundary Lodge

Beautiful property with a lovely secure garden, just what we needed for our two dogs. Welcome pack was a lovely touch and dogs loved their treats. Location was ideal with lots of walks and beaches nearby. We had a lovely week relaxing ☺️ Would definitely recommend this property.

A lovely relaxing week

We have just returned from a lovely week at Boundary Lodge. We found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and well equipped (although the controls on the hob took a bit of getting used to ) The location was lovely with the Broad, nature reserve and two pubs near by. Plus 4 lovely beaches all within 5 miles. The garden had a lovely tree in it which gave plenty of shade even on the hottest days.

A lovely few days!

Lovely lodge with everything you could need for a trip away with your dog. Dogs loved the underfloor heating. Lovely secure garden with lovely high fences meant we could relax with out worrying about the dogs.

Perfect dog friendly stay

Everything about our stay was wonderful - Boundary Lodge is not just the perfect base for exploring Norfolk but a really lovely, comfortable house to be in as well. Everything we needed was there, the extra touches were so thoughtful and the owners were incredibly accommodating and generous. The location is excellent and we had lots of lovely adventures all within an hours drive. Wish we were still there! Would highly recommend Boundary Lodge specifically and East Ruston Cottages in general.

Restful Break

Lovely property in a peaceful location. Secure garden for the dogs. The welcome pack was excellent and the dogs enjoyed the homemade treats. Plenty to do and see in surrounding area. Our third stay in an ERC property and hopefully not our last.

Amazing Accommodation

Boundary Lodge is fantastic; truly dog friendly and within a short drive of many stunning beaches. Underfloor heating made our stay in November cosy and comfortable and the welcome pack for us and our dog was great. The setting is peaceful with lovely views and the garden is well fenced and totally secure so dogs can enjoy their freedom.We have already recommended it as a wonderful holiday destination and we are looking forward to coming back next year!
