Lake front home with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths which includes a finished basement. House has wraparound screen porch with TV overlooking patio with firepit and seating to enjoy the outdoors. Dock on lake is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and includes 2 kayaks a 12' aluminum boat with tolling motor for fishing. There is a gas golf cart ("Chuckie"; add'l fee applies) for use on the property.

Home is near attractions including Clemson - 30 minute drive; many mountain trails and falls, like Taccoa Falls - 30 minutes; Tallulah Falls - 45 minutes, Chattooga River - 45 minutes and beautiful rides to near by towns, like Highlands - 75 minutes, Franklin - 70 minutes

Rob & Angie are GREAT hosts offering a GREAT HOUSE on the water. Ours was a family reunion for grandparents, adult children, and grandchildren. Clean and comfortable place, good kitchen, back deck, and living space. We would rent here again for sure! Rob and Angie were very responsive when questions came up and they helped make our stay a fabulous success. All the kids said this was the best family vacation yet! Definitely FIVE STARS

Great House and Location!

This was the best of six homes we have rented on Hartwell. The house was spotless, with great layout out for family with kids due to the downstairs space, great location in a cove out of the boat traffic and boat wake, great porch and quiet neighborhood. Good parking for cars and boat trailer and great communication with the owner. Would highly recommend.

Perfect for Family Getaway

This place is all about relaxation with peaceful places to sit everywhere … inside and out!! The ample sleeping arrangements, comfy beds, hotel quality towels, and large sectional couch made resting easy! The kids loved hanging out and sleeping together downstairs in the game room. Lots of provided entertainment with ping pong, air hockey, tv and games inside and kayaks, swimming and fishing outside; plus plenty of wildlife between the birds, deer, and the resident duck!! Everyone had a great week!!!

Peaceful and Serene

The Smiths have a fabulous rental lake home. The house was a perfect vacation spot for our family on.Lake Hartwell. It is situated in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Lake access was easy and the kids enjoyed feeding the neighborhood duck, AFLAC. We are already planning another trip to this home.

Relaxing and fun getaway

My family of 5 (2 Clemson students and 15yo) and my mother in law stayed at this amazing relaxing warm and welcoming home. We felt right at home. The Smiths went above and beyond expected to make our stay comfortable and fun! The home is very clean, well stocked with kitchen utensils and cooking supplies, allot of sweet personal touches like wine and chocolate and all the accessories and toiletries needed in case we came unprepared. We spent most of our time on the cozy screen porch (which has a potable heater) and on the dock. We used the boat with trolling motor which was a fun way to see the lake, the kayaks and the golf cart (which especially was useful to facilitate my MILto get down to the dock more easily). Ron reached out to us in arrival and talked us through use of golf cart and boat. We all enjoyed it so much and it was tough to leave. We hope to be bAck soon!

Perfect family spot

This was the perfect spot to meet up as a family for Thanksgiving and my dad’s birthday. The host were very accommodating and attentive. The house was very well stocked and we had everything we needed. Porch was heavenly and spent a lot of time by the fire pit. Lots to do. We are looking forward to returning

The White House at the Lake is fabulous!!! The host is very attentive and the property is very well furnished to have a fun and comfortable stay! The screened in porch alone is well worth the visit!

Relax, Relax, Relax

What a find. Relaxing and stress free. The dock is beautiful and very inviting. The house has plenty of room and very well stocked. Lake Vacation

Family and I had a great time. Spent most of our time in the water or fishing. Property was great and Chuckie was a lifesaver. Definitely would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lake getaway.

8 nights in the White House

The White House on the lake provided the perfect place for our family to have a fantastic vacation. Providing a large screened in porch to have that first cup of coffee and watch nature wake up. The home was clean, large yet cozy. Plenty of parking space. The cove has deep water, small-not much boat traffic and quick access to big water for tubing and skiing!! The home is in a private-quiet neighborhood. Kitchen spacious/well stocked-grocery store not far away. We brought our boat-the landing was 5 minutes away-very convenient! Had fun feeding the deer, fish, and THAT duck 😂, with the food provided by the host. Saw an armadillo one night rooting around in the woods. Between all the lake toys provided and the few we brought, we kept the lake busy 😂. The ‘game chest’ was a big hit, as was the ping/pong table & air hockey. I could tell from even the smallest details, our hosts went above & beyond to make our visit comfortable, memorable, & FUN!! For any questions we had, the host was very easy to contact & quick to reply. My whole gang was very happy-this was the perfect place for a family get together. Going back to that back porch with a TV and comfortable sofas and chairs. It’s the perfect place to wind down the day taking in a game or a movie. The White House on the lake provided our family with the perfect place for a fun and relaxing Vacation. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can.

Great Place!

This place has everything! The location was great, beautiful lake with tons to do. You could tell that the owners have used this house for years of good times and it has anything you could need or want. We loved fishing off the dock, kayaking, boating, playing air hockey or ping pong, and just sitting in the screened in porch for a morning coffee or afternoon drink. Rob passed off some great info before and during our trip to guide us in the area, and look forward to getting back. Amazing trip!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway

Back to Nature

We had a great time relaxing on the screened porch, listening to the birds and sounds of nature. The neighborhood was quiet and provided some solitude. Four dear appeared in the front lawn one morning and we caught more than enough fish to have a fish fry from the boat dock. And on those days we did not want to fish there was plenty to watch on TV and we had dinner out at a local BBQ or pizza place. Just the kind of escape needed from a busy schedule. The owners were very helpful and worked to make the trip enjoyable. Simply awesome!
