Lovely cottage

We had a great week at Bumble Cottage. The stone cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed. It is your perfect home from home. The location wss ideal in Chipping Campden only a short walk to the High Street where you have access to shops and cafes and restaurants. Perfect location also to explore the Cotswolds.

Cotswold Gem

Our stay at Bumble Cottage was fabulous. The cottage was lovely; beautifully furnished, comfortable, with absolutely everything we could need. And such a fantastic location too, nice and quiet but steps from the High Street with great shops, bars and restaurants. We are so glad we found this gem for our Cotswolds break.

Bumble Cottage is delightful. The location couldn’t be better…a quick walk to High Street but so peaceful overnight. And the cottage is equipped with everything needed for a lovely holiday.

A good base for a family wedding

We stayed here for a few nights as our son was getting married at Lapstone barn, so it was a great location, plus right in the beautiful town of Chipping campden. It was a lovely property , clean and quiet and plenty of room for the 5 of us. I would definitely recommend the property to stay if you're wanting to explore the Cotswolds as its a really central location & not far from the gorgeous village of Broadway too. The only thing I will say is there were a lot of signs around the house about keeping it clean & whilst I appreciate you want the property looked after it was a little overkill especially as it wasn't cheap to stay here, so if you're spending that amount of money to stay I'd like to think you're going to look after the place! Also maybe check out could be a little later, 10 is quite early to check out, especially as you have to strip the beds & also check in is quite late at 4pm , again lots of money for such late/ early check-in & out.

We’re sorry to hear that the signs around the cottage made it feel less welcoming. The owners have unfortunately experienced some previous damage, which is why these reminders are in place, but we do appreciate how they may come across to guests. We also appreciate your comments regarding the check-in and check-out times, which are largely dictated by the housekeeper’s schedule and same-day changeovers. Very comfortable and superbly equipped accommodation in excellent (but quiet) location for easy access to the high street. One of the best we’ve stayed in and definitely plan to return!

Fantastic short break

This is our second time at bumble cottage it is a home from home, everything you could need is there and absolutely spotless from top to bottom ⭐️ Everything is just a short walk away you won’t be disappointed with the cottage or chipping campden can’t wait to return.

Bumble Cottage is a gem. My husband, sister, and brother in law rented for two weeks. The cottage was clean and well supplied and wonderfully located. This is the third cottage I’ve rented in Chipping Camden and the best. The patio is an extra room —private and quiet. We were there during Scuttlebrook weekend and the Dovers Hill Games. It was crowded but not noisy and delightful to have going on. I ordered groceries ahead at Fettle and Bone and picked the order up before we got to the cottage. We settled right in. Such a fun place and so beautiful. Thanks to the owners for sharing.

Perfect location, spotlessly clean, every comfort provided for, we loved Bumble Cottage.

We stayed in Bumble Cottage for 4 nights. We could not recommend it highly enough. Location and parking in the centre of the village was excellent so we could stroll to restaurants etc in the evening. The cottage was spotlessly clean everywhere, including every item in the kitchen drawers and cupboards. Great shower and very comfortable beds. Would definitely book again we loved it.

Great Location

A well equipped, clean holiday cottage with off-street parking, (which is so useful during busy holiday periods), just a few steps away from Chipping Campden's High Street with its shops and eateries. The cottage also has a lovely paved rear garden to relax in on sunny days. There are a selection of books and games thoughtfully provided by the owner. Our third visit; I'm sure it won't be our last.

Bumble Cottage in Chipping Campden

Enjoyed our stay; my only disappointment was a refuse bin full of maggots; don't think it had been emptied in a very long time and was not due to be emptied during my stay but was very unpleasant. The bin collection process obvious left a lot to be desired.

Another lovely stay!

This was a return visit after we were here over Christmas. Can't find fault with the cottage except we wished the weather had been more friendly towards us so that we could have sat out in the back garden in the evening. The cottage is so convenient for going to the local restaurants and bars so we didn't have to bother about driving further and finding parking. The owners should be very proud of this property. It is by far the best we have visited! We shall hopefully visit again and hope the weather will be better.

An excellent Bolt Hole!

As Bumble Cottage is just off the High Street in Chipping Campden, it is in a very convenient location with shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep and all within easy reach. Bumble Cottage is cosy, clean and well-equipped cottage with a lovely garden, which unfortunately we didn't get to use because of inclement weather. The off-road parking space is a bonus!

Beyond Expectations

I booked from Australia so was a little unsure if the property would live up to expectations. It was stunning, and the most well equipped property I have ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything. We used it as our base to explore the area, it was perfectly located in the heart of everything, with parking, so we didn’t need to worry about using the car. I would highly recommend this property to everyone. Already planning a return trip.

Clean convenient and every thing you could possibly need in the kitchen.We had trouble with lock needing a new code when we arrived which was stressful and we could not lock when we left. We asked neighbors to help and they could not lock the door. Also we were not able to control thermostat owner did. They did have many throws which helped us stay cozy. Wonderful location!

It was also double-checked prior to your arrival. We understand that two different key codes were provided, including one for the return of the key after your stay. Bumble Cottage is a modern, well-equipped property, and we’re pleased that the owner was able to quickly attend to your heating requirements. Please note that the central heating is typically not used during the summer months, but for your stay, it was enabled on request to ensure your comfort.

Location & Comfort- Better than advertised

Great stay, literally in the middle of town on a very quiet street, just a 30 second walk under an archway to the Main Street. All the instructions for the cottage, and information for appliances were very clearly written- we would stay again in a heartbeat. Everything was as advertised, and perhaps would even say better than we had hoped- we travelled with our 92 year old mother, so we always looked at stairways, bathrooms, etc. when planning. She said the cottage had the best handrail on the stairs in the UK of all the places we stayed in during the 5 weeks we were there. It was the quintessential Cotswold Cottage with all the modern conveniences. I also cannot say enough about the importance of having a parking space included. I had several questions prior to the stay which were answered immediately by the owner.

Is it for you, you decide

Perfect location, very tight driveway if you have a big car. Beds very hard, uncomfortable foam pillows, not our choice, didn't sleep at all well. On arrival no milk in the fridge as stipulated, shop was a few mins away but after a long drive didn't want to go out and bearing in mind this was the only fresh item provided, it was poor. Bathroom is quite compact, if you have mobility issues or are bathing children it maybe a little awkward. Key is held in a digital key box outside, timed. Although there was nobody in the cottage before us we weren't allowed in before check-in time of 4pm. There was nobody in after either and it is suggested that you can ask for a later checkout which we did, by just one hour. We were told it wasn't possible, I'd recommend not even suggesting to ask for one. The kitchen is well equipped, the property is spotlessly clean and in a great location.
