The Space: Bartlemere House has a fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare meals easily during your stay. You can enjoy your home cooked meals in the dining area which is located at the bottom end of the space and consists of a wooden table with four matching chairs.
The bright and spacious living area features two comfy velvet sofas, Smart TV and a coffee table so whether it’s some relaxing time with the family or a fun-filled evening, you’ll have everything you could need.
Head upstairs and you’ll find three tranquil bedrooms. The first two bedrooms have a comfortable king size bed, along with wardrobes ample storage space. A single bedroom can also be found on the first floor.
Please note that one of the king size beds can be split into two singles if this is more suitable for your stay. A sofa bed is also available at Bartlemere House which, when made up, would increase the occupancy to seven. Please contact our friendly team to arrange alternative bed arrangements.
The bathroom boasts a bathtub with overhead shower, wash basin and WC for your convenience.
Outside you’ll find an enclosed garden with outdoor seating and barbeque facilities.
Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Bartlemere House are accessed via a key safe box and full details will be provided prior to check in.
Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Bartlemere House per reservation.

If you love to shop, the town has many antique shops so treasure seekers will be in their element. There are also lots of independent stores which you wouldn’t see on the average high street. Take your pick of restaurants, cafes and pubs which serve lovely home-made food.
Barnard Castle is also known for its 12th century castle. The English Heritage property has great views over the Tees Gorge. You can try to spot Richard III’s boar emblem carved above the window in the inner ward or explore the sensory garden.
Getting Around: The closest train station to Barnard Castle is Bishop Auckland which is served by trains to Shildon, Newton Aycliffe, Darlington, Thornaby-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea.
There are a number of bus routes throughout Barnard Castle. Hop on the X76 or X75 which travels to Darlington, take a trip on the 6 to visit Durham, or board the 79 to see the sights of Richmond.
