We were very pleased with our choice of this rental. Lots of room and the place gets nice and toasty (especially upstairs.) It is in a great location and the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. We only had a couple hiccups that Gabby fixed immediately (hot tub was barely warm and the ROKU was all in Spanish. Gabby sent someone right away to fix the hot tub and we reset the ROKU for English-for the last 2 days there was no internet/ could have been an outage-we didn't care.) The property was very nice and offered us alternatives but we were happy staying at Knotting Hill. Overall, we recommend this place and looking forward to staying at some of the other rentals they own.

Quiet with Great Views

Place was nice, cozy, quiet, and had great views. Hot tub was great. Adrian helped us out when we had trouble with the heater and got the place nice and warm just in time for the snow, also supplied us with wood just in case which was much appreciated. Will visit again.

Overall good experience

Was a little rocky checking in but they made sure we were happy and were more than accommodating and kind. I would definitely stay here again and work with them again.

Amazing view

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and absolutely fell in love with property. The view was so amazing. Will definitely rent this place again. The town of idyllwild is so great and very friendly. Highly recommend this property.

Relaxing Anniversary weekend with family

We greatly enjoyed our trip to Idyllwild! The directions given to us were inaccurate but we still found the place. It was very well-outfitted and the hot tub at night was amazing!

Property has great views. But none of the things worked. The hot tub did not heat, the grill didn’t work and the propane heater was not working as well. This property could definitely be a 4 or 5 star, but the main reason I got it was to just stay there and relax.

Family get together

Great time. Highlights were relaxing on the patio with a spectacular view, mellowing out in the jacuzzi while admiring nature and cozying with the family playing games. We enjoyed the visiting the town of Idyllwild and a hike at the nature center. Thank you for sharing a great place.

If you stay in the winter, the heating was AMAZING. Two things need to be improved on: the hot tub was not hot at all, barely Luke warm and the grill needs maintenance, the flame was so small we couldn’t BBQ.

From stunning views to thoughtful amenities,we enjoyed our near perfect stay. The rustic decor was a welcoming blend of cabin charm with modern touches. The grounds are well kept and has a completely fenced in yard which was a huge bonus for me, as we have a service dog/s. We had a service issue during our stay and it was handled quickly and without any awkward conversation with the management company. The staff was prompt, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay beyond our expectations and will stay again in the future.

Perfect getaway

The cabin was really cute, cozy and the view was gorgeous. The hot tub on the patio was such an added bonus. There were plenty of towels and blankets, which was really nice. The biggest downside was that the beds were not the most comfortable and the stairs were a little worrisome. The steps were very narrow, so you really had to hold the rail and watch your step.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation rental is a great property, located in wilderness. Cozy, clean and well equipped. We had no issues getting the property keys, getting in the rental and acclimated. However, there are a couple of negatives in our opinion. The property didn't offer any coffee or sugar or any basic condiments so please plan to buy every little thing that you may think might be needed. 10 am check out seems super early however they gave us a complimentary 1 hr late check out which was very nice. Overall, no concerns and would recommend this property to anyone.

Nice but ....

It's nice, but slept terrible, everything was great but just a few things, the hot tub did not get as hot as it should. The staff was great and sent someone out but it's an older hot tub couldn't fix heat. Also the bed down stairs was AWFUL!!! Tried then to slept up stairs and bed was hard as a rock. Sleeping on a mini get away is essential, really bummed me out, cuz everything else was great. Was on a culdesac and very quiet and very clean!

No Privacy

Neighbor on the right looks at you through their wondow. Made for a very uncomfortable stay. Houses are very close with little privacy. Check in process is outdated. Recommend shifting to Docusign for rental agreement and other documents that require signature. Recommend shifting to smart locks on the cabin doors to facilitate an easier check in/out process. Had an unprofessional experience with the rental company. Pictures of house are outdated.

A Peaceful Getaway, with Reservations

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Knotting Hill House is located in a quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes from town and features outstanding views. During our stay there were several issues with the house that were not disclosed by the management agency, including an inoperable gas-fireplace/heater, which is the main source of heat for the ground floor. The spa also malfunctioned, but a friendly service person responded right away and fixed the problem. The management company requires a 9 page rental agreement, signed and returned with copies of my drivers license and credit card - a practice I have not had to deal with in the past when booking through VRBO. There was no keyless entry, we had to go to the rental office and open a lockbox (going and coming) to get the door key.Overall staying in Idyllwild was fun and relaxing but dealing with this rental was not...
