Vacation 2025

The overall impression of the condo was good as one would expect based off of the pictures.We loved that the blue marlin store was super close and convenient. As well as within walking distance. However, there were some safety feature concerns and issues. The sliding door to the beach front balcony is very heavy and has several pinch points. 4 of the 8 people had their finger smashed, including my toddler (pictures attached). There were light switches with exposed wiring. As well as a sewage smell coming from the closet shower with the king bed. Balconies also needed to be repaired. At the time of our stay parking was limited as construction was going on, which made this more challenging to get in and out of.

Great location, not we taken care of.

This condo is in a great location and has a phenomenal view. As previous reviews have said, it is dated and I don’t mind that at all. It is missing several things that should just be part of one of these rentals such as a broom for sand and a baking sheet for quick breakfasts. It also needs a good cleaning. The cabinets and drawers had old food and crumbs in them. There was part of an Oreo on the floor in the bedroom and empty chip bag in the couch. The washer has a sign on it to leave the door open to prevent mold, the door was shut and it was full of mold. But the good news is the facility laundry has great equipment and their staff was very nice and helpful.

Great place

Even though the weather shortened our trip, our condo made the trip enjoyable. We had enough space for everyone at the table for games and on the couch for binging movies! Of course the view of the Gulf was amazing

Excellent views, but needs a lot of maintenance

The exceptional views from the balcony and the spotless building amenities were great. The unit is very worn out, bordering on dilapidated in places, and oddly decorated. Frankly, this could be overlooked if there were more steps taken to address a plethora of minor maintenance issues and provide minimum guest comforts. There's no curtains in two of the bedrooms. One of which gets strong light from the exterior walkway and setting sun. Good luck getting littles to sleep there. The blinds aren't working in that room either. One bedroom does have curtains, but they're too small to block light well. 2 toilets run for hours unless you manually adjust the flapper (gross). Dishwasher doesnt get dishes clean, so we switched to handwashing. Drawer handle came off on my hand. One bedroom door doesnt shut well. TV remotes were all unresponsive - bought our own batteries so we could put on some occasional Cocomelon to give the adults a quiet moment. One electrical outlet seemed to only work occasionally. Tiles on the balcony are coming loose and stacked in a corner. Lots of little niggling issues that you're not in a position to address while on vacation and add up to create a lot of annoyances. These are very simple things for owners to address. Lastly -and this is no one's fault - a unit nearby began to be gutted on one of the last days of our stay. The jackhammer can be heard all the way down to the beach. I think this rental is best suited to those looking for a crash pad

Ocean Vista Condominium 1101 has great views of the Gulf, the pool area and since it is a corner condominium you can see the Laguna Madre and the bridge too.

This condo needs some TLC and updating

The view and location are awesome! Excellent view from the patio and walking distance to coffee shop, restaurants, fishing excursions and grocery store. Pool & party room area was great! Note that beach towels, chairs, toys are not provided. We travel often through VRBO so expected to have better accommodations with the price we paid. The cupboards were bare. There was a nice set of pans, plenty of plates, glasses and silverware, but there were only three cereal bowls along with a few coffee cups. I had trouble cutting fruits and veggies because the knives were so dull. We were supplied 1 paper towel roll and 2 garbage bags for the week. When asked for more, we were told we would have to buy more on our own. Friends rented 5 other Ocean Vista condos same week and they had extra of all supplies so were surprised ours was so low. Overall the condo was really run down. We had to call because the freezer was draining into the fridge. When we called they responded within the hour to fix the freezer/fridge which was great! The kitchen appliances were cheap and low quality. The showers in two bathrooms dripped all day and night. The new washer and dryer was really nice. There were notes telling us not to put towels on the chairs or we would be fined. However, there were no hooks to hang wet towels and you cannot hang them over the outdoor railings. I would suggest replacing one of the many framed paintings in the hallway with some sturdy hooks.

Great place

Was a nice place but a/c wasn’t working for first two days. There are loose tiles just laying on the deck. The door lock was sketchy when entering the code more than once. Overall it was a nice place and would stay again. Maintenance was extremely helpful when called upon.

The beach is the only good thing

Balcony was a great size and the distance to the pristine beach was perfect. The building was without working water our first 15 hours, you don’t realize how much you use until you don’t have it. They did offer to move us to another building but it was 11pm and nothing had enough beds. We were expected to be around for an internet repair that we didn’t even ask for. That took about 2 hours out of the middle of our day then the air conditioning went out. Someone came to fix it but it wasn’t fixed correctly until we had been without air (overnight) 24 hours. I spent several hours waiting on hold over 3 different days with Vacasa as well as hours of waiting on repair men to finish issues. In the home we had maybe 6 coffee cups of random sizes in a home that sleeps 8. No blankets only 2 sheets per bed. The internet and cable were spotty at best but we used our hot spots. Our vacation was a mixed bag of fun, beautiful surroundings but a poorly cared for over priced property. Real improvements need to be made or lower the rate would be my suggestion.

Maintenance needed

Stove top front right burner doest get hot. When you open the dish washer it the hole machine falls out of the cabinet area. Both patio sliding doors are messed up and takes 2 people to slide them open. Then the don't shut correctly so the whistle when they are closed. Queen bedroom facet is not connected when you turn it on or just touch it it falls forward. Queen bedroom shower facet handle need replaced and so does shower head, mold in side handle and no water pressure. Hall bath, toilet handle broke you have to move it back up to stop the water from running constantly. Master bedroom, mattress has a big blood stain. Couldn't make myself sleep on it. The only plugin in bathroom doesn't work.

We loved this place! Very spacious, great furniture,, every room with bathroom ❤️ The best feature is that beautiful big balcony! View is breathtaking, weakling up with ocean view is glorious! This is such a great condominium that deserves a little bit more attention: better cleaning and dusting, new dishwasher. We would love to come next year 👙🐳

Very nice condo - Better than pics

Everything was top notch. The reserved parking pace was close and covered. The views were amazing! With wrap around deck you can see bay and ocean. Great view of fair and fireworks. Wonderful location. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view

Just rented this condo, June 2022. The location is perfect. The view is breathe taking! You can see both the bay and the ocean. The three bedrooms and three full baths were awesome. Now what needs improvement are the tubs and showers. The tile had a lot of mold so we had to shower with our flip flops. The furniture did not look like it had been cleaned since there was a lot dust. To our surprise there were two refrigerators which worked great for us. I would definitely consider booking this place again and can only hope the small improvements will be made.

Beautiful View

The view is fantastic from the balcony. The space was very accommodating and the kitchen was fairly stocked but the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes at all. There were several pillows but not enough pillowcases! Would definitely stay again!
