Chilterns Countryside Hideaway with Hot Tub - Pass the Keys
Escape with your family to this peaceful home in the heart of the Chilterns AONB. Enjoy the serene countryside, cosy up by the wood-burning stove, and watch a movie on the big screen. Unwind with a glass of wine or take a dip in the hot tub while surrounded by 4 acres of gardens and paddocks. Perfect for mindfulness getaways, walking breaks, hobby groups, family gatherings, or simply exploring the beautiful Chilterns.
The space
Built some 45 years ago the accommodation has been well thought out and designed to provide balanced room sizes, with many enjoying a bright double aspect.
The front door opens into the reception hall, where there is a staircase to the first floor. There is a large and comfortable dual aspect sitting room with a wood burning stove and a wonderful comfy sofa for all guests to put their feet up . It opens through into the large dining room with casement doors out to the garden. The dining room table can easily host 8-10 people comfortably. The kitchen is small but well appointed with contemporary white and dark units together with integrated double oven and hob. There is a large utility and laundry room which leads to the back garden and hot tub. The fifth double bedroom can also be found downstairs, with dual aspect and dedicated workspace.
On the first floor the master bedroom suite has a wonderful dual aspect, as does the en suite bathroom. There are two further double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. One of the double bedrooms also has a dedicated workspace.
Location
The house occupies a wonderful spot in a quiet country lane standing in private gardens and adjoining pasture, on the periphery of the pretty hamlet of Owlswick. The market town of Princes Risborough is just 2 miles away offering a good selection of local shops, including an M&S Food and a Tesco supermarket. There is also a good sports centre and the main line rail service to London Marylebone in as little as 33 minutes.
Outside
The house is approached via double gates leading to a gravel driveway bordered by well tended lawns. There is plenty of parking in front of the property and a large single garage.
The gardens surround all sides of the property, laid principally to lawn with mature trees and colourful shrubs, surrounded by established hedging providing privacy. The patio to the rear of the house hosts the hot tub with some outside garden furniture and BBQ.
Beyond the formal garden is an enclosed, large well fenced field.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire main house and gardens. The garage and garden sheds are locked and are not for guest use. However, there is a small stable outbuilding at the back of the garden where guests can collect more firewood if required.
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
