The lounge area, with its cosy sofa and armchairs, looks out through glass doors onto the expansive lawned garden, which stretches down to a peaceful pond. Outside, there’s a picnic bench where you can sit and soak up the sunshine. Also on the ground floor is a charming double bedroom with views of the surrounding countryside, as well as a convenient utility room for laundry and a separate toilet. Upstairs, The Granary offers three additional bedrooms. There’s a comfortable double, a twin room, and a spacious master king bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom is also located on this floor, featuring both a bath and a shower.
Set in the North York Moors National Park, The Granary is surrounded by beautiful countryside where rabbits, deer, and pheasants roam, and scenic walking trails lace the landscape, with one passing right by the cottage. Inside, The Granary is beautifully presented with attention to detail, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay.The Granary is part of The Granary Cottages, a row of four sandstone barn conversions located beside the owner’s farmhouse. It’s ideally positioned to enjoy both the coast and the countryside. Whitby, with its iconic abbey, 199 steps, and historic old town, is a short drive away. You can also explore the nearby coastal villages of Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay, and Robin Hood’s Bay, each offering stunning beaches, quaint streets, and breathtaking views along the dramatic coastline.
