Keramikos is one of the old central districts of Athens and has changed a lot in recent years. Today it has a very lively culinary and nightlife scene, with many restaurants, cocktail bars, cafes, and local spots that Athenians themselves enjoy. The neighborhood also has a more urban and artistic character compared to quieter residential areas, which is part of what many travelers love about staying close to the real city atmosphere. Dear Kathleen, Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We are sorry that your first night experience after a long flight was stressful. Regarding the electricity card, the apartment does include it inside the main lockbox together with the keys. After checking the situation, it seems a second backup lockbox belonging to us was also opened by mistake, which created confusion during the late-night arrival. We also understand that arriving at night from the USA can make central Athens feel very different at first, especially with the amount of graffiti in the area. Keramikos is actually considered one of the most central and upcoming neighborhoods of Athens, steps away from Psirri and Monastiraki. Street art and large graffiti murals are a very common part of the city's urban culture, and there are even dedicated graffiti tours throughout the historic center. The apartment itself is fully renovated and located in a safe area that many travelers choose specifically because of its authentic Athens atmosphere and proximity to the old city. We are sorry again for the confusion on arrival - we will make sure an event like this will not reapet. And we appreciate your feedback.
