This spendid 3 bedroomed 2 bathroom villa has been refurbished to high standards.

The villa has a fully fitted American style kitchen complete with a large fridge freezer, electric fan oven, induction hob, extractor, a fitted dish washer, washing machine, toaster and filter coffee machine provided. The cupboards have all the essential cooking utensils, crockery and plates.

From the kitchen you walk into the bright and airy open plan lounge and dining area. This is favourably temperature controlled with air conditioning.

There is a modern wooden dining table for those rare times when you wish to dine indoors.

The lounge area is very tastefully arranged and furnished with a log burner and a SMART LED TV with HDMI points. Google Chromecast and free WIFI is provided. This is a light room with large patio doors leading to the pool and outside terraces.

The Master bedroom has views over the garden and pool area. There is a comfortable king size bed, fitted wardrobes and air-conditioning, black-out blinds. The en-suite shower room is modern and stylish. This bedroom has direct access to the outside terrace and pool area.

Bedroom 2 has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, air-conditioning and black out blinds.

Bedroom 3 is complete with double bed, storage for clothing air-conditioning and black-out blinds.

There is also a family shower room which has been fitted to high standards.

The pool terrace includes an outside kitchen area with gas BBQ and 2 shaded dining areas. Sunloungers, parasols and various comfortable seating areas are dotted about for your relaxation.

This is a private and secluded area and not shared or overlooked, perfect for sunbathing and relaxing in the sunshine.

There is also an outside shower for you to cool down and remove the oils and lotions prior to entering the swimming pool.

The villa is located approximately 0.3km on the edge of the campo (countryside) outside Canillas de Albaida pueblo in the Almajara Mountain range. The access road to the villa is concreted and well maintained and easily navigated. We have parking for one car, additional spaces can easily be found close by.

The garden and pool terraces are fully fenced.

The surrounding villages offer many bars, restaurants to dine, so can easily eat out every day and sample the local cuisine at an affordable price. Canillas has 3 shops, 5 restaurants, pharmacy and tourist information office. A local taxi service also runs from the village.

In Canillas de Albaida you can find 3 supermarkets, the best fish shop in the area, a butcher, a pharmacy and a few restaurants just behind the corner.

This area is renowned for its speciality Cómpeta Wine and festival dishes of Migas, Paella and the sharing of the grapes.

Within the local villages of Canillas, Sayalonga and the larger Cómpeta it is possible to organise tours to vineyards, walking tours, boat trips, hire of cycles, Ebikes, jeeps, kayaks and many many more activities. We recommend that you pay a visit to the tourist office on the edge of the villages, they have a wealth of knowledge and speak many languages.

The vibrant pueblo of Cómpeta has several supermarkets , panaderias (bread shop) & pescaderias (fish shops) generally open from 9am-8pm daily, except Sundays and Festival days, so worth checking in advance. This area does respect the siesta time of the day 2-5pm so some of the shops maybe closed during this period. In Competa, there are bigger supermarkets (Eroski and Dia), a Market (on Saturdays) and a fantastic wine shop

You will also find hairdressers, beauty salons, clothing stores, farmacias, doctors and dentists within the villages.

We are approximately 18 km from the nearest beach, Algarrobo Costa, which is pleasantly clean and well maintained with many bars and chirringuitos for your fish tastes. Best food markets for the bigger need can be found in Algarrobo or Torre del Mar (Mercadona, Lidl).

Canillas de Albaida is part of the Sun and Wine Route and is located 52 km from Málaga and 24 km from Vélez-Málaga. The name Albaida means white and was given by the Arabs who founded the town in the 13th century because, according to legend, the town was surrounded by white flowers.

Nestled in the Sierra Almijara mountains, on the border between the provinces of Málaga and Granada, the village is surrounded by high peaks where goats, eagles, and wild boar are frequently sighted. Here, the fresh mountain air is filled with the scent of pine and oak, and nearby lies the Maro Cliffs Natural Park with its gorse, rosemary, and the increasingly rare sea lavender.

Like most villages in the Axarquía region, the streets are narrow and steep, and cars not only look out of place but struggle to fit. The walls of the house are painted in different colors at hip height.

Important monuments worth visiting include the Church of Our Lady of Expectation, located in the town square, and the Hermitage of Saint Anne, built at the highest point of the village, offering spectacular views. Opposite the village, just past the municipal swimming pool, stands the Hermitage of Saint Anthony, built in the 17th century. If hunger strikes while you're there, try the local dish of Migas, made with corn and wheat, and also sample the fried pumpkin. To further tantalize your taste buds, the local Muscat wine is excellent.

To get to Canillas de Albaida you can continue from Cómpeta, go up from Archez or go down from El Fogarate.



The journey from Malaga to Canillas de Albaida takes around 1 hour by car.
