Cottage was very comfortable, clean and well laid out

Cottage was very comfortable, clean and well laid out. A perfect stay for walking in the area and cosy to come back to after a day's hike. The bedroom balcony was perfect for a glass of wine in early evening sun.

So quiet and comfortable!

Stayed solo for a few days to write and get some headspace, and The Old Estate Office was absolutely ideal. So quiet, so comfortable, and the light from the big windows made the living area feel lovely and open. Loved the mix of modern and rustic touches. Would definitely return—next time with my partner!

The perfect setting for a romantic weekend away!

What a find! The Old Estate Office was warm, welcoming, and the perfect setting for a romantic weekend away. We lit the fire each evening and curled up with films—so relaxing. Everything was super clean and thoughtfully put together. The village is charming and there are stunning walks right on your doorstep.

This place is a gem. You get the feeling you’re in the middle of nowhere, but it’s actually really well located for visiting nearby towns and walking routes. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was dreamy, and the views from the balcony were amazing at sunset. Can’t wait to come back in winter!

We fell in love with The Old Estate Office the minute we stepped inside. It’s perfect for couples—spacious, stylish, and incredibly cosy with that gorgeous log burner. We had everything we needed to cook, chill and switch off. The balcony had beautiful views of the rolling countryside. We left feeling totally refreshed.

Amazing cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. It was super clean. Had a lovely open plan dining room kitchen and living room. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable the bed was the comfiest I've ever stayed in. The balcony was great it had a lovely view over to the fields. Grantley itself was really lovely there was a local pub but unfortunately it was shut getting a refurb so we didn't go in there. Plenty of walks from the cottage to reservoirs on lakes and forests. On a Friday Saturday and Sunday there is a cupboard full of cakes outside to buy just put your money in the honesty box. I will definitely recommend this cottage to everyone it was probably the best we've ever stayed in. To be honest not much to improve on only that in the kitchen there wasn't a potato peeler or spatulas other than that the place was amazing.
