Another l9vely stay

Second time we have stayed in the Old Tractor Shed, this time for a week. Beautiful spot at the foot of the Souhth Downs. Plenty of walks from the front door,, great for our dog Monty as many are livestock free. Convenient for many attractions including Weald and Downland Museum, Goodwood, Chichester and the coast. Plenty of local dog friendly pubs and a great community shop and cafe a short drive away.

Lovely stay

Beautiful property and lovely hosts. Enjoyed spotting birds in the gardens and listening to the sounds of nature. Hosts are also on hand, for any additional needs.

We loved this property as it provided great accommodation being well appointed and comfortable. The hosts Toni and David are very welcoming and provided help and information to enable us to make the most of our stay. It was ideally located for us to visit the many attractions the area has to offer. The White Horse pub is a short walk away and offers good food and drink (only open Wed - Sunday). We hope to be able to return soon.

A family weekend in Sutton

The Tractor Shed was the perfect retreat from the chaos of a multi generation family weekend. While the younger family members camped we enjoyed comfortable beds and a leisurely cooked breakfast with the farmer's eggs.

Beautiful stay in the South Downs

We were staying with friends at the old tractor shed and had a wonderful time! Toni and David are great and attentive hosts and we are definitely planning to return for another vacation in the South Downs :)

The Old Tractor Shed is a property with real character and it provided a wonderful base to walk stretches of the South Downs Way. We also very much enjoyed Sutton and its wonderful surroundings - loads of walks on the doorstep. Toni and David are very warm and generous hosts.

Warm welcome and lovely stay in South Downs

We had a lovely stay in the Old Tractor Shed. Toni and David were very welcoming and the accommodation was perfect for our stay. Lots of lovely walks from the door. Plenty to visit and see locally and not far from the sea.

Delightful spacious barn conversion in beautiful village in the South Downs

Situated on a small working farm in a pretty village on the edge of the South Downs this lovely barn conversion is comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. Interior decor is enhanced with original botanical paintings from the hand of the wonderful hostess (Toni) who also is a published authoress - her book relating to life in the South Downs is packed with her detailed illustrations of every type of wildlife to be found in the Downland area. Toni and her farmer husband proved excellent sources of information as to events and places in the area and were spot on in their choice of pubs and eateries.The Barn is well placed for visits to a huge variety of historic buildings, museums, stately homes, gardens, cities and small towns and the coast. Our whole week was very relaxed, weather was reasonably good, our aged Patterjack terrier was made most welcome and we were able to catch up with our old friends from the time we lived near Midhurst over 40 years ago. Lots of changes but people generally still pleasant and helpful and seemingly with the time to stop and chat .We commend the Old Tractor Shed very highly. Mike and Sue (and Muffin)

Lovely Stay in Sutton West Sussex

The Old Tractor Shed is comfortable, very well equipped in an idyllic location with lots of lovely walks nearby. The White Horse Inn, a gastro pub serving tasty food is a 5 minute stroll away. Our hosts Toni and David were friendly, helpful and always available to answer any questions. We plan to return next year subject to availability.

Super Sutton

We had a super holiday in wonderful Sutton, a quiet nook in the South Downs National Park. The Old Tractor Shed is a perfect country idyll away from life’s hurly burly. Our hosts, Toni and David, were charming and most hospitable. We will be returning!

Good location in Sussex

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Old Tractor Shed - the owners were nearby for any questions, and checked in on us to make sure everything was OK throughout the week. We didn't need to use the logs, but can imagine it would be even more cosy with the wood burner going! Lots of space to spread out, in both living and bedroom areas. We visited nearby Chichester (the only day it rained), but there's an easy walk from the door to the Roman Villa with mosaics. The gift of ham and eggs was yummy, and we even went home with some home grown rhubarb! Would happily recommend.

Lovely, cosy cottage with charming hosts

Location is fabulous for walking & cycling the South Downs and there is an elegant & welcoming gastropub within 1 minutes walk! Easy off road parking right by the property & secure storage for our bikes. Toni & David were charming & went above & beyond to ensure we were OK & equip us when a storm took out power to the village. There is generous provision of consumables making it very easy to self cater for a week and keep everywhere clean. The property was always warm and easy to live in. Good value for money - we would definitely stay again.
