Beautiful condo, beautiful view, and great location

Spacious and comfortable two bedroom Penthouse. Views of the downtown casinos from master and balcony. Views of the mountains to the north, west, and south from the rest of the windows. Spent a lot of time enjoying the views. Perfect location to enjoy Reno, and its easy to get to Virginia City and Tahoe from here. The owner is great to work with and very available if you have questions. We loved it.

Beautiful views and accomodating owner

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with friends there were a few minor details that would have improved our stay. These observations were shared with the owner and she responded favorably. The property is lovely and the view is breathtaking. The location is within walking distance to the casinos and many amazing restaurants and bars. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were nice amenities like robes and slippers; luxurious fluffy towels and the kitchen was sufficiently equipped; however, bring your own blow dryer. I would absolutely stay here again if it was more affordable although I booked prior to the renovations and had to cancel putting me in a position of either relinquishing my initial investment or paying the difference caused by the increase fees resulting from the remodel. Rhonda was more than accommodating with my cancellations and affording me the opportunity to rebook my stay and I would give the property five stars now that our minor inconveniences were addressed. I assure you, you won't be disappointed If you decide to book this property!

Always a great stay

We have stayed here several times in the last few years, and it's always a consistently great place. A stellar view of downtown Reno combined with a well appointed, very comfortable two bedroom condo makes for a great base of operations in Reno. We will certainly be back.

Simply Breathtaking

We visit Renoux at least a half a dozen times a year and have always wanted to stay in this penthouse, but never had the chance until now. It is spectacular, to say the least, and Rhonda is a wonderful host. Although we visited most of our favorite restaurants and attended a few events, as normal, we found that throughout our trip, all we wanted to do was get back to the penthouse in order to sit around, relax, open up a few bottles of wine, and enjoy some great conversations while also gazing out on some of the best views in Renoux. Parking is about a block away, but is very convenient, and is right next to the Community Market, which made it easy to stock up any food items we needed. We will definitely be back.

Booked this place for its location to Downtown!

Beautiful views of the hills and casinos at night! Walked everywhere we wanted to go. The park across the street was alive with people everyday of our stay! Rhonda is an absolute delight to work with. Very spacious apartment/home, and close to some very fun nightlife if casinos aren't your thing! Highly recommend Pignic, it's right down the street! Younger to older crowd, very fun place to have a drink and we were not out of place being in our 40s! Overall a great weekend! Thanks again Rhonda.

Very disappointed in my selection of this VRBO.

Sadly for all concerned this was the most disappointing selection of properties I have made when utilizing the VRBO system. The penthouse location gave a fabulous view of Reno. The unit was dated, in disrepair and dirty. We were unable to heat the penthouse properly and were cold the entire stay. I have the sense at one time this unit was a gem, but for reasons beyond my explanation it has deteriorated and is very poorly maintained. We opted to use street pay parking for our vehicle and did not use the recommended vehicle parking site. I debated between two properties for our Reno vacation and unfortunately I feel I selected poorly. I will continue to utilize the VRBO system in the future, however would not recommend this particular unit given the current status of the overall physical condition of the penthouse.

Penthouse with a Million Dollar View

The penthouse overlooks the Truckee River in downtown Reno. The views from the kitchen, dining room, living room, and master bedroom are spectacular. The Truckee River and riverwalk are literally right outside the door of the building, as is, Wingfield Park. Our family arrived in Reno early, so I texted Rhonda to see if we could check in early. She responded immediately and gave us the okay. This was helpful because we were able to drop off our things at the condo and explore the neighborhood. We felt right at home at this property and will stay here the next time we visit Reno. Thank you Rhonda.

Spectacular view - extremely comfortable penthouse condo

We had a wonderful 5 day stay enjoying spectacular views of downtown Reno and the beautiful snow covered Sierra Nevada mountain range from this fabulous condo. With lots of space, comfortable furnishings and a well stocked kitchen and laundry room, we felt quite at home. Rhonda was terrific to work with answering all questions in a timely manner. Even though the arrival and departure instructions sent to us were clear and concise, she took the time to call and welcome us prior to our arrival to make sure we had no further questions. The location is great for enjoying the downtown River Walk, movie theater and lots of great restaurants - all within easy walking distance. We had terrific meals at Campo, Wild River Grille and the Old Granite Street Eatery (best Curried Asparagus Soup ever!!). The Great Basin Community Food Co-op was one block away, between the condo and our underground parking space so we stopped in several times to pick up breakfast and lunch items - and one night, all that we needed for a home-cooked meal in the condo. Easy day trips were taken to Truckee and Lake Tahoe, CA and because there was so much snow in the area, we enjoyed a snowshoe adventure in the Mt. Rose Wilderness. The Galena Creek Visitor's Center is a short drive from Reno and on your right before you arrive is Galena Sports where we rented our equipment for the day. After staying in a hotel during my last trip to Reno, I have decided this is the only way to go and we will definitely book this place again for our next visit. Thank you so much Rhonda!

Great location and a great view!

The penthouse is as described. Very comfortable and well stocked. Rhonda is more than helpful with any questions that you have. Communications were prompt. So nice to stay somewhere that's not a casino or a motel 6. Would recommend and book again!

Great property and fabulous location

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo! The views in all directions were amazing and the location was awesome. There was plenty of space for entertaining, and it was just a short walk to the park and other spots for food or entertainment. The building felt secure, which was a top priority for our family. The co-op grocery just a block away was wonderful - a real gem in a big city! The beds and linens were first-class, certainly a step above hotel living. The Discovery Museum was a treat for the family, and is walking distance. An absolute MUST while in Reno is to eat at The Stone House Cafe - profiled on Guy's "triple D" show a while back - it is consistently AMAZING!! The owner provided excellent directions and was available for communication. We will certainly look to this property the next time we are Reno-bound!

The best view in Reno. You sit at the breakfast bar and look out over the sierras. Gorgeous. Easy access to building. Safe, very friendly neighborhood. Owner/manager completely available for questions when they arose. My first Vrbo experience. Couldnt have been any better.

Awesome getaway at this luxurious Penthouse in Downtown Reno!

Thank you for sharing this amazing Penthouse! Rhonda was a fabulous host and made sure everything was so beautiful when we arrived, even fresh flowers! Check-in and check-out was all automated so was really easy and less stressful about what time we arrived. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of room for both privacy and hanging out together. Honestly, the photos just don't do this place justice and we were amazed when we walked in and took in all the views of the casinos, the Truckee River and sierra mountains from EVERY room. One night we stayed in and cooked and enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, stocked kitchen and laundry room (yes, in the apartment). Master suites were on opposite ends of the penthouse so very private. Another night we walked across the Truckee River to the theater and out to Campo's which was super tasty and then to Eldorado - all about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Really didn't need a call once we were there. Great co-op behind the apartment for groceries and the underground parking is just 1/2 block from the apartment and an easy walk. We will definitely be back this summer, thank you again!

Stunning views

The penthouse on the Truckee River was very memorable. The views from all windows (and there were many) were spectacular. We enjoyed the many eating options within walking distance to the apartment. The kitchen is fully stocked and we had no problems cooking up our own dinner when we chose to stay in. Entering and exciting the building was easy and there is a great deal of free parking around the complex. The one downside was the parking garage. We have a large F-350 and it wouldn't fit in the garage spaces. However, if we had brought our small car, we would have had no issues there. Overall the stay was relaxing, enjoyable with absolutely breathtaking views!

Great Condo!

Penthouse condo was the perfect weekend getaway destination. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and had wonderful views of the city. It's walking distance to the downtown casinos and resturants. We will definitely be renting this condo again.

Amazing Views and Location

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful Penthouse over the 2012 Memorial Day weekend and were blown away by the views from this premium location. Unexpected snowfall, followed by some high "summer like" temperatures added to the adventure of this spectacular location. The Truckee River white water rafting park is the view directly below the unit and in the distance you can see all of downtown Reno in one direction and equally spectacular views in two other directions. Several wonderful restaurants are located within walking distance and the owners made several recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. The only drawback is the last floor must be traveled without the benefit of the elevator, but the resulting views are worth the effort. The owners went out of their way to be accommodating and personally showed us how to operate the A/C unit, the blinds, and the stereo system/TV. I cannot wait to revisit this lovely place. You will not be disappointed if you make this magical place your home away from home in Reno.

Unbeatable View - Great Location

I stayed here with my mom and sister and it was convenient and gorgeous. It is located in a very cool part of Reno. Nice shops and coffee places. Everything was perfect for our stay! Because of the view and easy access, there is no other place I would consider staying. Spectacular!

Better than advertised

This penthouse occupies 1/2 of the top floor and has a spacious living area and a master suite. It's like a over-sized stylish flat transplanted from NYC to Reno. The owners, Jane and Larry were fantastic as they greeted us at the front door of the park towers, provided a fresh batch of coffee beans, even called to check if the local grill was open for us when we arrived. It's less than a mile to the Reno Aces ballpark, the National Auto Museum, Nevada Art Museum, Rubicon Deli and My Favorite Muffin Cafe. There are spectacular mountain and skyline views from every room. Everything was great and we are already planning to return for the Nugget Rib Cook-off next year.

The Best Place to stay in Reno

We rented this condo for our family for one week to attend the US Fencing Summer Nationals. It was the best move we made for the trip by far. After a horrible flight adventure getting to Reno - the owners Jane and Larry helped us get in at 2am - they were so very kind and understanding. The condo was spacious and perfectly appointed with all the amenties of home. The view was breathtaking - so much so that we spent most of our free time sipping beverages and just taking it all in. Truly it felt like our home away from home - the location was perfect - close to everything but not on the main drag. If your going to Reno and not staying here your insane.

If you are going to Reno this is the place to stay. The Penthouse was so comfortable, clean, relaxing and a perfect place to get away to. The owners are very friendly, helpful and so welcoming! I would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Reno with Friends and Family... it is such a magical place and we can not wait to go back!

20 Wedding Anniversary

The Roof Top Condo was beautiful. My wife and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary and will probably look at doing the same next year. Views are great, apartment appointed with everything you need. We entertained and cooked finding all necessary things. Quality through-out--first class!
