Bellamente amueblado y decorado frente al mar casa de playa ...


Camina a solo 80 'de la puerta de atrás y estás en la playa, o siéntate en la terraza del tercer piso y observa a los delfines y al océano entrar. Después de un día en la playa, relajarse junto a la piscina. La piscina está abierta desde el 1 de abril y se cierra 31 de octubre para la temporada. La piscina se calentará antes del Día de los Caídos y después del Día del Trabajo.

La planta es un diseño no tradicional. La gran sala, cocina y dormitorio principal están en el tercer piso. Así aprovechando tanto el sonido vistas frente al mar y desde ambos lados de la casa. También cuenta con un ascensor que sirve a los tres pisos, por lo que el viaje hacia arriba / abajo un poco más fácil. Esta casa no fumadores cuenta con cuatro dormitorios en el segundo piso, con un baño compartido con ducha y un Jack & Jill baño con bañera. Nuestra última incorporación es nuestra máquina batidora Margaritaville para hacer su mezcla congelada favorita para los jóvenes y viejos.

La gran sala tiene generosa capacidad para 10 con vista al mar con una chimenea para un tiempo más fresco. Hay un montón de asientos en la cocina y zona de bar para comer. La moderna cocina está totalmente equipada y tiene una fábrica de hielo independiente adicional para los días calurosos! La casa tiene un montón de juegos y libros para el tiempo de inactividad. Esta luminosa y fresca casa de playa cuenta con pisos de madera y alfombras de área. Hay una ducha de agua caliente y fría privado fuera.

Si te gusta una playa con poca gente y todas las comodidades modernas que una casa puede ofrecer, usted caerá en amor con esta ubicación. Un paseo de 20 minutos te lleva al parque de recreo que cuenta con un parque infantil, canchas de tenis y canchas de baloncesto. Putt-Putt Golf está a sólo unas pocas millas por la carretera y el primer ministro de 4 estrellas, campo de puntuación de golf de la zona se encuentra a 5 minutos en coche y es uno de los "mejores lugares para jugar 'Golf Digest 2008-2009. Overall great experience! Fully stocked kitchen and great linens! Perfect amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. Struggled with Roku in bedroom upstairs and the deck had some nails popping. The pool was green but we saw men cleaning it. I love that it’s right on the beach!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay for the most part and sorry you were not happy with some of the other minor issues. We try very hard to keep the house in working order. The pool was not green it did need attention and our pool crew was on it and also kept the renter up to speed on the condition. It was safe to get into. Nail pops are a daily occurance on a beachfront property. We try very hard to keep up with that as well. Thank you!

Beautiful place on the beach

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed all the amenities that came with the house. The elevator came in handy when unpacking and loading the car. The pool was a nice place to cool off in on the days the ocean was to rough to swim in. Steps to the beach and beautiful views. Suzanne was wonderful and on top of things. We hope to come back again.

Perfect for our family of nine

My family enjoyed our week at this house. It was perfect for both adults and teens. The house had pretty much everything we needed. The location was great with a large beach area right out the back door. We were a little disappointed that the original pool was no longer there but the owners have a replacement pool in place. The check in and check out process was easy and the owners were responsive.

Love the location!

We loved the staying at Terrapin Place! The owners are lovely and communicated with us. The listing may be updated by now but the pool had to completely redone because of the tides/beach erosion so it’s an above ground now but still a luxury to have. We love North Topsail and the location for us was great, up out of the way of Surf City Crowds. Lots of great shark teeth finding steps from the property if that’s an activity your family enjoys.

Turns out the igniter switch was not working but the grill lit right up with the help of a lighter stick when you turn the gas on. Next time we hope you will not have that issue! What we needed!

Overall the property was very nice. Being on the water was wonderful. We enjoyed the peace and quiet

The accommodations were good. The proximity to the ocean was excellent, said however the steps leading from boardwalk to ocean were washed away making it more difficult to return from the beach. Also the grill was not in good condition. Overall our experience was good and the outdoor pool was a nice feature.

Thank you for your review of our house! We always appreciate honesty and hope we can improve when we can. The grills have a tough time in the beach conditions and we will try to improve that. The steps were not actually washed away we added an extra 3 steps further down from the existing steps to help manage the change in sand. We had bulldozers push up extra sand in the spring to help continue to preserve our dune. But as nature would have it, It dramatically changed the incline to the beach making it harder to walk down. I am sorry that created a challenge for you and your family. Sometimes we can't anticipate natures tide. Sincerely The Owner

Beautiful Vacation Home

This house was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed. The decor was beach themed and the outdoor areas were so nice. The pool was so close to the ocean and had a perfect view. This house is only footsteps from the beach, no need to drag a bunch of things to the beach. The owner was nice and responsive to any questions I had. Definitely would suggest this to another family.

First time to Topsail!

We had a wonderful vacation! The home is is updated and beautifully decorated. The top porch was a fav hangout and very relaxing. We typically go to OBX but did topsail this year and was not disappointed. It is not a going out type of town but the home was well equipped with everything we needed. The beach was amazing and not overly crowded. We will definitely be back in the future.

Very nice and spacious oceanfront house

Lots of room and well-maintained. Two things about the online listing: there are 3 king-size beds but it only mentions two (only a factor if you bring your own linens). And there was a $100 surcharge to heat the pool. It did not have that in the listing. Overall a very nice property.

Great location

The location of the house could not be beat! Easy access to the beach and a nice pool. The pool was not usable for the first few days but the owner was in constant contact with me giving me updates and information about when the pool technicians would be coming. It got fixed and we were able to use it for the remainder of our trip. Overall not a big issue. Owners were always available and responsive.

Great Location

We loved being directly on the beach. It was never crowded. The rooms were all a good size. A handyman would be helpful for a couple outdoor stairs that were coming off, bedroom door that wouldn't lock, things like that. We couldn't find a vacuum so it was hard to keep the floors clean. I would add that to the house. And if someone could clean the outdoor grill - it was pretty grungy. The pool was wonderful - the little ones loved it! We had some issues with the elevator getting stuck a few times, but were able to resolve it. But to have your morning coffee on the deck watching the sunrise can't be beat.

Glad you had a good time! We really try to keep things up and repaired, unfortunately at the end of the season it gets harder and we don't always know. We do try to get things handled as soon as possible. We do have a vaccum on the 2nd floor in utility closet and it works. Steps have been repaired since then and the grill is just a tough one.we may try to add that to our list with the cleaning crew next year! We hope you will think of us in the future. :)

Beautiful home

Overall the trip was amazing. The home is beautiful and communications with the owners were great until the last few days. The kids loved the beach and the pool. The steps to the beach were a little daunting as the owner was still having them fixed. One party member fell and while okay - it was an inconvenience. The other challenge was finding restaurants to eat dinner. All the local places did not take reservations so it was a long wait on the nights we dined out. The beds were comfortable and the home seems well cared for. A few leaks here and there but that is par for owning a home on the beach.

Thank you for your review and your 5 stars. I will say this was one of our more challanging renters as we try extremely hard to please those who stay at our home. The situation with our stairs was explained in great detail before they arrived as CAMA had come in to replenish our dunes completely out of our control. We did our best to make the access to the beach as safe and easy as possible. I do feel some of the comments were not fair as we communicated almost everyday and answered everything as quickly as possible. You can please everyone but we darn near tried!!!

We chose Topsail, North Carolina to come together as a family after nearly 3 years to celebrate our mother's 75th birthday. This beach front property with views of both the ocean and sound did not disappoint! Spacious, bright, clean, friendly, and inviting! The large kitchen and dining room-family room allowed us to cook meals together, play games, and visit all at once! We even hired a local private chef to prepare a meal so we could watch the process from the comfort of multiple chairs or couches in the room and enjoy quick family pictures just steps away on a sea-glass filled beach! The cutely decorated bedrooms were spacious, included extra pillows and blankets, and proper storage space to keep a room tidy or spread out. Top Terrapin is a beautiful primary suite with large soaking tub, private shower/toilet area, plentiful closet, and its own entrance to the house-wide 3rd floor deck looking directly over the ocean. It even boosts a vanity sitting area, large armoire, and close full of kids games and family-friendly activities for late nights or a rainy day. An exciting lighting storm the last night was spectacular and summed up our trip in this home---magnificent!

Fantastic beach vacation at Terrapin Station.

Our family, 4 adults and 5 teenagers, had a wonderful time at Terrapin Station. It was so relaxing sitting on the covered upper deck watching the ocean, dolphins, and stars/moon at night. The beach is uncrowded and we found many shark teeth and seashells. We enjoyed walking the beach, discovering protected turtle nests, wading in tide pools at low tide, and going ghost crab hunting at night. We loved the private pool (very clean) and the built in seating in the pool. It was nice to cool off on days the ocean was too choppy for swimming or relaxing at the end of the day. The hose on the second floor and the shower by the pool were convenient. The living room and kitchen open floor plan had amazing ocean views and was perfect for meals/hanging out. The kitchen was well equipped and provided everything we needed for cooking our meals all week. The second fridge/freezer on the 1st floor was helpful for storing extra drinks. The elevator worked great and made unpacking suitcases and groceries much easier. Suzanne was a pleasure to work with and answered my inquiries quickly. We really enjoyed staying at Terrapin Station and our families had a fantastic time at the beach. Thank you!

THE PERFECT BEACH HOUSE!

You will absolutely love this house; spacious, up-to-date, clean, and neat as a pin. We rented this place last year for a June 2011 reunion to house children and grandchildren and it did not disappoint. Straight out beach and pool access by all 4 mid-level bedrooms. (No cutting through another room, using stairs, or elevator waiting to get kids outside.) A high capacity stack wash and dryer are also on this level. The house has a very open and spacious kitchen, great room, and master suite. Also included is a built-in ice machine and very large outdoor gas grill. Benches at the end of the beach walkway provided plenty of room to stow inflatables, boogey boards, etc. overnight. Two large tubs of towels and bed linens awaited us at the door plus the pool service came twice while we were there. This house is well cared for and we feel lucky to have found it. The owners are very gracious and can answer any question you may have. "If" you need to eat out we would recommned "Crabby Mike's" in Surf City. Get there early. We highly recommend this home and location for a great vacation.

Not bad, not good

Owners were very responsive when booking and with any questions or concerns we had. There were some minor issues (battery in key pad and red ants) when we arrived, the owners promptly took care of those issues. As for the house itself it definitely needs some TLC. Sliding door locks are rusted and barely work, some ceiling repairs were less than pretty to look at. Pictures online definitely need to be updated. The pictures online definitely do not represent the product especially the outside area and beach steps. I know they are experiencing some dune replenishment which affected the beach access which was not a huge deal to us, although an updated picture of what the access looked like would have been nice. The pool deck was covered in dune sand and weeds. we shoveled the sand and pulled the weeds to make it a suitable area for us. The outdoor shower had not been cleaned out in a long time, there were old razor, old bars of used soap, which we cleaned as well. After spending an hour or so cleaning the outdoor area it was a decent place to use. Overall the experience was good, the owners were very nice, would I go back, probably not.

For our Potential Renters we would like to clarify some things that were brought up by our past renter. We were as he said very responsive to issues he addressed. Beach house suffers a lot of wear and tear in one summer and we try hard to fix things as soon as we hear about it. We do not live close by and try to stay on top of things with our cleaning crew and handyman. Key pad for front door was corroded due to alot of moisture in the air and just stopped working but, was quickly resolved. Red ants were outside near pool which is an act of God and was also resolved after renter complained. The ceiling in bedroom had just starting leaking the week before they arrived and we had the whole outside front of house repaired and closed up. Siding, facia, and some roof shingles. We also had to wait until the following Saturday to get ceiling cleaned up and painted again. It was repaired as quickly as possible. We also sent ahead of time a very descriptive letter addressing what is going on with the dune and CAMA regulations regarding the most recent push to replenish the dune. We had to rethink our passage to the beach and were not allowed to finish repairs to steps, but made every effort before season to make the beach accessability as easy as possible. The pool deck unfortunately was a result of the dune push and will be addressed this fall with privacey fence to create a barrior to the pool deck. As far as the shower goes that is the first time someone has complained about the condition of an outdoor shower. We can address that too. We have always been a 5 star place and it saddens me that there was not a lot of patience or understanding when it comes to the little problems that come with a beach house. Some things are just out of your control! Would I invite them back again? Probabley Not!

Location is awesome, Great Pizza very close by. we loved the layout of the house, it fit us all very well. large open kitchen and Livingroom was perfect for everyone to be together. I didn't realize I had to request linen's for the beds or towels for the Bathrooms, But Suzanne really came to the recue, Thank you so much for helping us out.

The beach house was great but....

A week at the beach is a vacation we look forward to every year with my 3 grown children and their families. This was the first time we rented this house. First the good... this was a beautiful home with great views of the ocean from both the upstairs living area/bedroom and downstairs bedrooms on beach side of house. Very spacious. Both porches were covered and very comfortable. The swimming pool was a favorite of my grandchildren. Now the not so good... We arrived at 4:25 (check-in time is 4:00) and the cleaning person was still there, which wasn't a big deal except she had the elevator stopped on a floor with her cleaning gear and we had to use stairs to load our bags in. After she left, we noticed the house was not that clean, especially some of the bathrooms. We overlooked this because we were so charged up to begin our vacation time which was perfect. Now the real bad.. After we got home, I found an email that we were charged $250 for causing a crack in a bathtub. After looking at photo, I sent a response that we didn't cause the crack. In the photo it looked like a settlement crack which is what I suggested to owner and asked for a refund of the $250. When I received no response, the next day I lodged a dispute with VRBO. Then I got response. The owner said after further investigation she determined that the crack was there before we arrived, but that it got bigger during our week and that she was refunding our money. Then she said, the cleaning person complained that we left the house overly messy and wasn't anyone watching the kids?!! This incident tarnished our report of the week which would have been 5 stars otherwise. I should have been clued in when I saw some of the snippy responses the owner made to complaints in other reviews.

As I appreciated the review for the most part I was disappointed in the commentary over the cleaning person and her being there longer than expected. Every effort is made to make the house spotless as if no one was ever there. The problem we had was that the maid had a big task ahead of her that day from previous renters who left the place in a bigger mess than anticipated which kept her there longer. We do offer the outside pool and beach to our renters to enjoy if this should happen. It is very rare. I did this. As far as the crack in tub it was unfortunate that it was noticed by the cleaning person for the first time which I had no choice, but to charge for it. I did try to spend more time investigating this issue with my older cleaning gal who then later shared with me the crack was there but very unnoticeable. Then I released the charge. I also felt that the renters did not respect my request to wait to come into the house as it was not finished regardless of check in being delayed. They complained about the cleanliness of the place before my cleaning lady could finish. Unfair! I am very sorry that it happened and really try to keep our guests happy and am willing to be reasonable when these things happen. We have had extremely happy guests over the years we have rented. Don't let this tarnish your decision to rent in the future!

We then visited some of the beaches in the area and fell in love with North Topsail Island! That's when we decided to build. Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

North Topsail Island reminds me of the beaches I use to visit when I was a child. It is not over run with tall hotels and building and a lot of traffic and chaos. It is somewhat quiet and undisturbed. We love the fact that the momma sea turtles come up to our end of the Island to hatch there eggs! There is also a sea turtle museum and turtle rescue on the Island.
