No Hot Water, No Wi-Fi, Very Poor Communication
The property was in a great location, close to the beach and the harbor. It was clean, and while it wasn’t quite as impressive as the photos suggested, it was still a nice place to stay.
Unfortunately, communication from the host was extremely poor. We ultimately had to contact VRBO to obtain our check-in information because we could not get a timely response.
Halfway through our vacation, the host provided a phone number that was not registered with WhatsApp and an email address that was hidden by the messaging platform. Although she had my contact information, she never used it. Cell service in Vernazza was unreliable, which made arriving at the property without working Wi-Fi especially frustrating.
There was also no hot water during our entire stay. I informed the host multiple times, but the issue was never resolved. On our last day, within minutes after another call from VRBO, she sent instructions for turning on the hot water. By then, it was too late to be helpful. Guests should not have to troubleshoot basic amenities like hot water.
This could have been a perfect vacation. The location was wonderful, but the lack of Wi-Fi, cold showers, and poor communication significantly affected our experience.
I do want to commend VRBO for their excellent customer service. They took my concerns seriously, escalated the issue, and a supervisor personally called me.
I cannot recommend this host due to my experience.
