The Space:
Mains Lane Barn is designed for slowing down and switching off. Light-filled, thoughtfully laid out and finished to a high standard, it offers a calm and comfortable base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
The double bedroom is warm and inviting, with plush bedding and soft furnishings to ensure a great night’s sleep. The en-suite bathroom adds a touch of luxury, featuring both a deep bath for long soaks and a separate walk-in shower, ideal after a day of walking or cycling.
The open-plan living space is perfect for relaxed mornings and quiet evenings. Settle into the comfortable seating with the smart TV, enjoy unhurried meals at the dining area, or prepare simple dishes in the well-equipped kitchenette.
A sofa bed provides flexible sleeping for additional guests. Fresh linens are supplied and ready to use, or simply let us know before arrival and we’ll have it made up for you.
Large bi-fold doors open onto your private terrace, where uninterrupted countryside views create the perfect backdrop for morning coffee or sunset drinks. With minimal light pollution, clear nights often bring spectacular stargazing.
Whether you’re returning from long walks or enjoying a slower countryside break, this is a space designed to feel calm, comfortable and restorative.
Optional extras, including local produce hampers, celebration touches, early check-ins, late check-outs can all be arranged to make your stay extra special.

Guests have private parking and exclusive access to the entire annex. The property is all on one level and accessed via a secure lockbox for easy self check-in.

Set in a peaceful rural location with just one neighbouring property, Mains Lane Barn enjoys panoramic views across classic Dales scenery - rolling hills, dry stone walls and open skies. Walks and quiet lanes begin right from the door, making this an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.
Despite the sense of seclusion, you’re only minutes from some of North Yorkshire’s most loved market towns. Leyburn is under five minutes away, offering cafés, traditional pubs and a popular Friday market. Richmond is close by, known for its impressive castle, riverside walks and Georgian streets, while Reeth sits at the heart of Swaledale with independent shops and excellent walking routes.
Nearby highlights include Aysgarth Falls, The Forbidden Corner, and Middleham Castle - all easily reached by car. Traditional pubs, tearooms and farm shops are dotted throughout the area, so good food and local produce are never far away.
