EXCELLENT communication with the host, Excellent location in the heart of Rockport. The apartment was clean,and comfortable. It had everything that could be needed. We will stay here if we come again.

Molly is a wonderful, informative host! This apartment is adorable and you can’t beat the location. We always enjoy off season short trips. I imagine this spot is super fun in season as well.

The property is a 2nd floor apartment right amongst the village shops above a business which is convenient but also can be noisy from crowds outside. It is a cute spot - however there is no onsite parking; you have to park your car a good 5-10 minute walk away on a residential street in the village. The owner of the business below was outstanding in getting us checked in with the key and access code needed to access the property; he also gave us the correct wi-fi password as it was incorrect in the welcome email from the vrbo owner. Also we did not know about the parking situation until 3 days prior to arrival. Communication with owner was 6 hours delayed as she lives in London . There was no info book to explain some general reminders/rules and/or simple housekeeping i.e. location of the washer and dryer and garbage pickup. We also had the kitchen sink plug and back up and the garbage disposal didn’t work; it was resolved with the owner’s cousin who came by at 8:30pm next day to fix. While this was a comfortable spot for our 6 night stay it has some drawbacks. It was clean but certainly not handicapped accessible with stairs, parking and a tiny bathroom (if you’re tall). Clearer information in advance would have made our stay less stressful upon arrival . I hope the owner reviews her welcome email and also considers putting together a welcome list/book.

My stay at this adorable apartment was wonderful. It is a cozy, seaside retreat. It is wonderfully and tastefully furnished. Everything you could need or want is available to you, and if you need something unusual (as I needed a non-slip bathmat) they are happy to furnish it.I had the dream vacation of a lifetime in a quaint New England village.Thank you, hosts, for your wonderful attention to detail!

The location is phenomenal. Right in the very heart of the shops and restaurants on Bearskin Neck..we were excited to stay in this area. Beyond that, we have very little to praise. We knew it was going to be somewhat rustic but, this was pretty bad. Where to begin? The windows haven’t been cleaned in some time. When looking out we could see the build up of dust, dirt and finger prints. The closets were loaded with spider webs, the blinds in one room were decrepit with splits and holes. One bedspread had a hole in it, another blood stained. We felt disgusted when stripping the beds by the amounts of sweat and saliva stains that covered the old pillows on every bed. There’s no comfortable seating for guests. One armoire had something disgusting stuck to a shelf. The shower is so gross. Only 1 of 4 of us actually used it. She said the shower curtain kept sticking to her. There is a cupcake & ice cream business underneath the apartment. They play loud music throughout the entire day while they’re open. The sound comes right up into the apartment..hope you like the genre. We didn’t watch the TV because we’d have to turn it up loudly to hear over the music. The elevated noise wasn’t worth it. I went to make coffee in the old coffee maker. There was some old coffee dried up in the pot. The night stands in 1 room have the drawers removed so there’s just a hole with dust and spider webs building up, in their place. We were thoroughly disappointed.

You didn’t mention during your stay any of this and we would have happily immediately sent someone to reclean the apartment. We have reached out to the cleaner with your concerns as well. Please next time you stay with someone mention these issues to them directly first so they have the chance to make it right rather than impacting their review scores so negatively and affecting the renting potential. We would have rather made this right for you during your stay. Your exit message to us, with information related to your personal life redacted: “ Thank you sooooo much Molly! I’m glad I’m asking now for the very reason of making reservations in advance of our trip. My heart is beyond happy for our time in your apartment. I grew up in ____ and spent my 20’s & 30’s living around the North Shore. Now I’m __, living in __ & get to bring 3 friends who have never been to the area before to my old stomping grounds. I feel blessed beyond words; especially for being able to stay ON the very street that I frequented for shopping and dining for many happy years! If you don’t mind me asking, do you also own Gifford’s Ice Cream Shop? I have a feeling we’re about to be really spoiled with that shop right there! I won’t take up any more of your time. Thank you for the joy you bring to others,💜”
