The perfect getaway for families & friends
More than a vacational rental we offer a slow living accomodation for a true connection with nature, gastronomy and local culture.
But if you're looking for a place to spend long periods of time out of peak season, where you can work remotely or nearby, "Casa ad Mare" is with no doubt, your best choice.
Built in 2024, Casa ad Mare is located in the coastal town of Los Caños de Meca, between the fishing villages of Barbate and Conil, and very close to what is considered one of the most beautiful white towns in Spain, Vejer de la Frontera.
Casa ad Mare offers a cozy and privileged place from which to explore its coastal surroundings and immerse yourself in the true Cadiz Atlantica. All this, in the heart of the Costa de la Luz and at the doors of the Strait of Gibraltar.
With four bedromms, each one with it own bathroom, and a second living room that can be used as a large TV room or a workspace, the house is designed to comfortably accommodate 8 people.
The possibilities are very wide: From working teams or a group from an agency specializing in gastronomic, cultural, and experiential tourism, to a group of friends, and of course, families looking for truly authentic and immersive experiences.
The cozy and carefully decorated double rooms at Casa Ad Mare, along with its guest lounge, can be configured as a double bed or two single beds, depending on your needs.
Its spacious and light-filled spaces, both indoors and outdoors, are perfect for hosting themed meals led by our professional chef, cooking classes that immerse you in the local cuisine, history, and culture combined with the sea, and more.
The exteriors and gardens are designed and conceived for outdoor living. It features a large and inviting main terrace with a large travertine marble dining table, a lawn area for relaxing, and everything you need to cook the local cuisine.
Wondering if there's a pool? With a heavenly beach 100 meters away, we've decided it's not necessary. We want you to experience the sensation of leaving the house barefoot, walking a minute to the beach, and swimming and diving into the Trafalgar Sea…
The true distinguishing feature of this property is its exceptional location: located between two natural environments of land and sea with an extraordinary historical, scenic, and environmental value, yet without being so-called "isolated from the world."
Los Caños de Meca is a true natural paradise. A small, peaceful, and family-friendly place to enjoy all year long, with July and August being more popular with seasonal travelers on vacation.
Basic services are just a short walk or a short drive away.
We can assure this place is the perfect balance between wild nature and nearby towns to visit and enjoy their traditions, culture, and local cuisine.
So, if you're looking for nature, whether ocean or mountain, you'll find the most incredible natural surroundings on the Cádiz coast simply by stepping out of your home:
You can explore on foot:
• La Breña Natural Park just a 1-minute walk.
• Los Caños de Meca beach 1.5 minutes’ walk.
• The legendary Trafalgar Cape and Lighthouse 20 minutes’ walk.
• The route of Andalusia's highest cliffs and its network of medieval watchtowers 15 minutes away.
And much more...
But if you're looking for something more urban and local, you just have to drive 10 to 20 minutes to reach:
• Barbate, Vejer de la Frontera, Conil, or Zahara de los Atunes...
And in about 45 minutes by car you can be in:
• The always spectacular and magical city of Cádiz, the most ancient city of occidental Europe.
• Jerez de la Frontera: Land of wine, horses, and flamenco.
• Bolonia Cove, with its sand dune, considered a natural monument, and the Baleo Claudia archaeological site. All in the heart of the Strait of Gibraltar Natural Park and wich is considered the natural and archaeological jewel of the Costa de la Luz and even of the coast of Andalucia.
• Tarifa, a historical border city. The southernmost city in Europe and at the doors to the Strait of Gibraltar. Today, the world capital of wind sports.
The philosophy of Casa Ad Mare is based on the pursuit of immersive, gastronomic, and experiential tourism for its guests.
Traveling and arriving at a destination isn't just about visiting its iconic landmarks, usually filled with bewildered tourists, but rather immersing yourself deeply in its true essence, exploring off-the-beaten-track sites, interacting with locals, and experiencing authentic experiences that make you feel more than just a visitor.
The pursuit of genuine cultural and gastronomic experiences will not only enrich your trip but also enhance your perception and understanding of the places you visit. It's about traveling with purpose, curiosity, and respect, making each trip a life-changing experience.
Imagine slowing down and taking the time to truly interact with your surroundings on all levels... This style of travel and stay invites you to be a much more conscious traveler, focusing on the quality of your experiences rather than the quantity.
A personal project by Ignacio Soto:
This house is the culmination of a personal and professional project after a lifetime linked to the sea, Cádiz, its people, and its ancient origins…
Decades of experience and knowledge of the coast and history of this corner of the world have given me the privilege of being considered, by the Cádiz Tourist Board, Truism of Andalucía, and several agencies specializing in experiential tourism, as a local expert on culture and heritage linked to the history of fishing and coastal environments of the province of Cádiz.
It has also allowed me to meet people and places that have helped me gain a surprising insight into the authentic local culture. This has also made it possible to have exclusive access to completely personalized and off-the-beaten-track tourism.
This house, therefore, is not just another tourist or vacation accommodation. That´s because I'm truly opening the doors of my home to you so you can feel at home, and offering, if you wish, the chance to guide you through connecting with the natural environment, culture, and local cuisine like you'd never imagined...
