This cottage in central Exeter places you right in the heart of one of Devon’s most historic and vibrant cities, with everything from ancient architecture to modern shopping, dining, and cultural experiences just a short stroll away. Exeter train station is less than 10 minutes walk away, whilst Exeter University and College are just a few minutes walk away.
Start with Exeter Cathedral, an awe-inspiring Gothic masterpiece with stunning vaulted ceilings and beautiful stained glass. Surrounding the cathedral, the Cathedral Green is a lovely place to relax with coffee from one of the nearby cafés. History enthusiasts will also enjoy the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM), offering fascinating exhibits on local history, art, and world cultures.
The city’s medieval Underground Passages provide a unique and atmospheric tour beneath the streets, while the Quayside offers a lively mix of restaurants, bars, antique shops, and riverside walks along the Exe Estuary Trail. For those travelling by train, the property is less than a 10-minute walk from Exeter St David's station. If you're coming from Exeter Airport, it's only a 15-minute drive (lots of taxis are available) or 30 minutes by train. There are also numerous car hire companies at the airport as well as in the city should you want to explore the wider area.
For those who do bring a vehicle, there are two paid car parks nearby. Bystock Terrace Car park is a 1-minute walk away, and Howell Road Car park is around an 8-minute walk away. There are also limited pay and display on-street parking options available.
Other Things to Note:
The property is located in Central Exeter and benefits from a wide variety of amenities and travel connections within easy walking distance. And, whilst the property is located on a 20 mph road, it does mean there is potential for noise.
