House was clean ready for us to begin our stay. First time staying in Berlin and we all enjoyed it. Communication with owner was fantastic. Responded to all my questions in a timely manner. Would recommend this property. Being dog friendly was also a bonus!

We have stayed here every summer for a few years now and always have an excellent stay! The house is clean and well maintained. Communication with the owners is easy and responsive if needed. We love the quiet area but still close to the beaches. And able to bring our 4 legged kids with us is a major plus!

Perfect location.

We were very happy to find a reasonably priced rental so close to Assateague National Seashore and so central to many other parks we visited in the Maryland/Delaware/Virginia area. We would consider staying here again, although we hope next time a little more attention to detail was made for cleaning between guests. There was some hair and dust along the bed frame that was a little off-putting. As dog people, we get it (and were thankful there was a vacuum to clean up our border collie’s hair as best as we could), so it’s not the end of the world.

An HONEST Review

The location of this property is good. It is conveniently located near everything. The kitchen, bathroom, and living room are good. The laundry set came in handy. PLEASE be advised that it is in a cluster of houses, while the pictures make it seem more isolated. We were EXTREMELY surprised to find that we had to make our own beds upon arrival after a long day of travel. I have NEVER had to make my own bed on vacation. In addition, the pillows were flat, the comforter was thin, there were no additional linens provided (we had to go out that night and purchase additional blankets to use), and the beds are FULL SIZE. NOWHERE in the listing is this mentioned. Additionally we had to do more cleaning prior to departure, which included stripping bed sheets and placing them in laundry bags. This seemed a bit much, considering we paid a cleaning fee. We reached out to the owner to address some of the issues, and we received an unsatisfactory response and then nothing. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation at a reputable rental. If I wanted to do housework, I would have stayed home.

Great cottage getaway!

House was very clean and well equipped for its size. Perfect for two or three people, and the nice large kitchen was perfect for our needs. P.S. Front porch is an oasis for cigar smokers.

Not a terrible stay, but not a great one either

The property is located 15 minutes from Ocean City and is in a good location. The beds were very small and uncomfortable. Bunk bed has a futon mattress on the bottom. We are not large people but the full size bed was the biggest bed in the home and felt small. The bed also had a fair amount of dust and hair in between the mattress and frame. We also had to put the bedding on all of the mattresses and pillows when we arrived. We also had to remove all the bedding and put it in a laundry bag as we departed. I felt like this is the hosts responsibility. These instructions came with check in check out process after payment. The kitchen table was dirty as well. There were cleaning products in the home and we used them to do the additional cleaning to eat our first meal when we arrived. We had to work to eat, sleep, and leave. Didn’t feel like we were hosted at all. Felt like we were the cleaning crew that got to stay. If you don’t wanna do any work on your vacation this is not the place to stay.

Always a great stay!

This is our 3rd year staying at this location, and we absolutely love it! The house is always exceptionally clean, and provided with towels, linens, etc. The neighborhood is quite, and our dogs love the area and have become well adjusted to traveling there. Deb is always easy to contact and responsive. Cannot say enough great things about this rental!

Nice location and great appliances

Deb is amazing, very responsive and friendly, and the house is great at a great location. Appliances really work and the only thing I personally didn’t like is the soft mattress, but that’s a personal opinion and all in all we really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

Excellent little cottage !!!

Great place to stay when you’re down at the shore. Out of the way and pet friendly with a yard, but not so out of the way you can’t be a ton of place within 20-30 minutes.

Great location & pet friendly

The location was perfect & we were allowed to have our furbaby with us, the only complaint I have is the size of the bed. There’s a bunk bed in one room & the other has a double. My husband is 6’3” & his feet hung off the edge of the bed. But everything else was great! Enclosed porch, big kitchen, off road parking, everything else was great!!

We've been in our house for 15 years and love this area. There's always something to do.
We're close enough to Ocean City enjoy all the activity there, but also "get away" when we want to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
