Explore the ancient castles dotted throughout this magnificent landscape – iconic Scone Palace is 22 miles away, just outside Perth, while Glamis Castle is 15 miles away. Enjoy days of fishing on the River Tay (14 miles), Loch Lintrathen (3 miles) or Backwater Reservoir (6 miles), all beautifully scenic destinations – please purchase relevant permits. If you’re keen to tee off, head to Alyth Golf Club, Strathmore Golf Centre or Glenisla Golf Club, all under 6.5 miles, and the famous Carnoustie Golf Club is within a 30-mile drive. Charming Alyth town is 5.5 miles away, while Blairgowrie sits 10 miles away. The riverside city of Dundee, home to cultural institutions such as the V&A, and pretty Dunkeld, with its ancient architecture and fascinating history, are both 21 miles.
