Acerca de este alojamiento
1 Bed in Leyburn (oc-ds053)
Enjoying a quiet position on the outskirts of the picturesque market place of Middleham, this quirky, characterful property makes an ideal holiday home for couples and solo travellers exploring an idyllic part of North Yorkshire. Just a few miles from the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, the cottage features exposed timber ceiling beams and charming window seats, giving the property a relaxed, airy and fresh atmosphere. Offering cosy accommodation for up to two guests, this light-filled getaway has been cheerfully decorated in soothing shades and makes a wonderful base for walkers, nature lovers, history fans and horse enthusiasts.
Entering this pretty cottage, the characterful lounge has a wood burner effect electric fire, ceiling beams, a Smart TV and comfortable seating, providing a relaxing space to settle back, read a book or chat about the day. The dining area is positioned between the lounge and kitchen, perfect for sharing a romantic meal for two. The kitchen has plenty of equipment so you can rustle up a wide range of dishes. Upstairs, the first floor has a refreshing bathroom and a lovely bedroom with a beautiful double bed, a wood-beamed ceiling and a sweet window seat. Going outside, there’s a small paved area with garden furniture, making a charming spot for enjoying a morning coffee before heading out to explore.
The cottage is just a few metres from the centre of Middleham, with a choice of fantastic restaurants, shops and pubs. The ruins of Middleham Castle – the childhood home of Richard III – are a short stroll away, and the town is known for its racehorse training heritage; horses are often ridden through the village on their way to their morning exercise. Other local attractions include Aysgarth Falls, Jervaulx Abbey, Constable Burton Hall and Gardens, The Forbidden Corner and Harmby Waterfall, all within 10 miles.
