Tucked away in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this beautifully restored former farm building offers the ultimate countryside escape. Bursting with lovingly preserved original features, a warming wood burner and a shared games room, there’s something for every member of the family at this welcoming rural retreat.

Step through the arched doors into a stylish yet cosy home where rustic charm meets contemporary comfort. The spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasts a reclaimed parquet floor, exposed ceiling beams, and a roaring wood burner, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for unwinding after a day of exploring. There are two welcoming zip-and-link super-king-size bedrooms (can be made up as twins on request at time of booking). The ground-floor bedroom features its own en-suite, while the gallery-level bedroom upstairs has a vaulted ceiling, views across the canal and an en-suite bathroom with a gorgeous free-standing bathtub. Step outside into the shared farm courtyard, where you can sip your morning coffee at sunrise or enjoy a glass of wine at sunset on your private patio area. Animal lovers can visit the resident pigs and free-roaming hens. For a bit of fun, head to the shared games room for a friendly tournament. There’s also a shared laundry room and private parking for two cars, ensuring a stress-free stay in this countryside haven.

Set in the peaceful rural hamlet of Llandetty, the property is surrounded by breathtaking scenery with direct access to canal towpaths, scenic trails, and cycling routes for those who love the great outdoors. Nature lovers can ramble around the stunning Talybont Reservoir (5.5 miles), on the 6-mile circular walk with mountain views. For a taste of local hospitality, explore the independent cafes and shops of Talybont-on-Usk (2 miles) or delve into the area’s mining history at the Big Pit National Coal Museum or Blaenavon Ironworks, both within 16 miles of home.

- 2 bedrooms – 2 super-king-size zip-and-link (can be made up as a twin on request at time of booking) situated as 1 ground floor and 1 first floor bedroom. Additional double sofa bed in living room

- 2 bathrooms – 1 en-suite shower room with WC, 1 en-suite bathroom with shower over free-standing claw bath and WC and 1 separate WC

- Electric oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher

- Shared laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer

- Travel cot and highchair available on request

- Wood burner (first basket of logs supplied), underfloor heating on ground floor

- Smart TV

- Dogs must be kept on leads in the garden due to livestock including free-roaming chickens, pigs, cats. There are sheep in nearby fields

- Small enclosed area to the rear of the accommodation that can be used to allow dogs an immediate run area - this does adjoin the securely fenced pig enclosure

- Private patio area in the shared courtyard with outdoor dining furniture and chimenea

- BBQ, Pizza Oven and fire pit on request

- Bicycle storage available on request

- Private parking for 2 cars
