Acerca de este alojamiento
2 Bed in Skipton (oc-c30621)
This delightful holiday home for couples and small families is in Yorkshire’s ancient market town of Skipton. The property sits in a prime position overlooking the canal, and is also within reach of the town’s fine array of shops and eateries. Skipton is a fantastic base for walkers, with easy access to the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales National Park where you’ll find much-loved beauty spots such as Malham Cove (12 miles) and Bolton Abbey (6.5 miles).
The waterside retreat is reached via a sweeping walkway or a flight of stairs. Once inside, leave coats and walking boots in the hallway, before heading through to the stylish lounge/diner. Relax in here after a day of exploring, watching the canal boats from the comfort of the corner sofa or catching up on your favourite programmes on the TV. To the rear of the room is a cute dining table for sharing mealtimes as a group. The separate kitchen has everything needed to create tasty dinners and hearty breakfasts. Upstairs, two inviting double bedrooms await, both with calming, neutral decor and ample storage for all your holiday attire. Both bedrooms share a refreshing family bathroom. Outside, sip a morning coffee on the terrace to the front of the cottage, or head out to the rear patio to watch the swans majestically swimming past the property. The holiday home has private parking for two cars.
Skipton is a picturesque town with cobbled streets, listed buildings, and historic sites, such as the 900-year-old castle. The town hosts regular markets, where you can pick up delicious local produce and handmade gifts. It also has a great range of independent shops and boutiques. Enjoy walks along the canal towpath, or head into Skipton Castle Woods for a stroll amongst the trees. Alternatively, board one of the heritage locomotives of the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway and take a relaxing jaunt through the surrounding countryside.
