Keen walkers can enjoy many wonderful walks in and around the village, along the old railway line path to Fortrose (2.5 miles) and Ormond Hill on the headland (1 mile), the site of the ancient Ormond Castle. On the outskirts of Avoch, the Rosehaugh Estate, 1.5 miles away, offers excellent walks through mature woodland with stunning views to discover. One of the region's landmarks, explore the Fairy Glen Falls at nearby Rosemarkie, 3.5 miles away, home to two babbling waterfalls and a wonderful forest walk.

From sunrise to sunset, the large, enclosed garden, featuring a delightful lawn, provides the perfect peaceful spot to sit back and relax. Outside, you’ll also find private parking for three cars. Please note that there is an access road running along the front of the property between the cottage and the private parking opposite, next to the beach, so care should be taken to check for vehicles or cyclists before stepping outside.
