Our entire family had a wonderful stay. The pool was a daily hit with the kids. The owner was communicative and quick to respond when we didn’t know the door code. Nice location - central to many wineries. Couple of suggestions - install window covering on big window in living room to reduce heat coming in. The broom probably needs replacing - it was well used and we used it several times a day! Overall, a great stay!

60th Birthday Celebration with family

The location of the property was perfect for my husband's 60th birthday celebration with our 4 adult children and their partners. The house was very clean, the property very spacious to play games such as spike ball and ladder golf. We very much enjoyed the pool although the pool area itself was a bit unkempt (weeds, etc). The wifi code and key pad to enter the house did not match the information contained in the welcome package. However, the maintenance man was onsite when we arrived to let us in and the host also left a message telling us where the key was. The deck was very spacious and seated our family comfortably. However, the deck does need some work/maintenance as you had to wear shoes in case of slivers. There were plenty of towels and beach towels available. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, and spices in the cupboard (although we did bring lots of our own spices). Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Family Time

Had a great week with extended family. Pool was so refreshing! Lots of room for everyone to spread out. Patio set has been upgraded since the photos were taken and that was a lovely surprise. Also a smaller seating area outside in the other side of the house for when the afternoon sun gets too intense. A couple small glitches upon check in were quickly rectified. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful view

Location and size of house were awesome. The house is a bit dated and carpets etc could be cleaned but housed 10 of us with no problem and we enjoyed the pool immensely. Overall a great place to spend IM weekend.!

Rustic and charming

This charming house is located in the heart of Naramata wine region. The rooms were spacious and the deck, outfitted with plenty of seating, offered fantastic views of the region. The kids enjoyed having access to a pool to escape the day's heat. The inside of the house may seem slightly old-fashioned to some but those who appreciate it's rustic interior will love the homey and charming atmosphere it offers. The beds were comfortable and the nights were quiet and calm. The proximity to a multitude of wineries, senic drives, and the town of Pentincton offered plenty of things to do. Overall, we were satisfied with what the place had to offer! Central ac was a plus !

A gem on the Naramata Bench

This was a return visit for our family of 8 adults. The home is a perfect fit for us - plenty of large bedrooms, two living rooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. The location was fantastic with wineries and hiking trails nearby along with easy access to the KVR for cycling. The pool was a bonus after long days in the sun. Lots of comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces for all to enjoy. The owners were quick to respond to any questions that we had. We highly recommend this accommodation!

Awesome girls trip

We had a fantastic time in naramata. The house was spacious and very well stocked. It is an older house but well maintained. The pool was a big hit! The location was very convenient with easy access to the KVR, local beaches and wineries. There was a minor maintenance issue while we were there and brook responded very quickly to our concerns and had things fixed right away. I would highly recommend this property .

Family wedding

Great location, view, pool, yard and space for a larger family. Property is older and needs some maintenance (uneven paving stones around the pool, shower tiles, dated interior), but overall a great stay for our family.

Naramata wedding.

Stayed at the property for ours daughters wedding in Naramata. Location was great minutes from Penticton and Naramata. House is large overlooking the lake ( sunset ) and the pool is an added bonus. Would highly recommend the property and location.

Property in need of total renovation & update

This was once a nice family home but now needs a total renovation to justify the amount charged for this property. We have rented VRBO properties all over the world at these rates and all have been as expected. This house is in disrepair, dirty pool and unkempt property complete with a large pile of garbage, soil, broken bottles all dumped at front entry. The owner was informed from the first moment of arrival but sadly only acknowledged pool deficiency. It seems the owners do not live nearby and are unaware of the state it is in. Our family from Germany, that were visiting for a special occasion, were disappointed as were we. Take it off this site and do some needed work.

Reunion

Three couples who met in university many years ago, get together annually to explore various areas. The property was good, everyone had a good time. Unfortunately, the dishwasher wasn't working, but the manager attempted to have it fixed, but couldn't get a service person in before or while we were there. It also seemed that the pool is leaking as the level went down about 4" in the few days we were there. Overall, we were happy with the stay and would come again.

Great experience but home needs some TLC

Overall we enjoyed our stay but found that the house needs some upkeep and care. Pros: Great location, nice pool, lots of space, plenty of plates and towels for guest use, excellent view and AC was a definite plus. Cons: Place was very dirty, smoke alarm doesn't work, very dated interior, things were falling apart (dishwasher, fridge, room doors), leftover things from previous tenants everywhere and rooms were very dark. The place has good bones just needs to improve lighting using ceiling mounted lights in dark rooms, get rid of leftover items and food from previous guests, get a smoke alarm in kitchen, deep clean the entire place before each booking and update interiors for some of the older rooms (upstairs bathrooms and kitchen)

Perfect house for our family getaway

We were a family group of 9 adults. The house was a perfect fit for our group. There was plenty of space with ample bedrooms and two living rooms which allowed us all to be together but also provided opportunities for quieter times. The view was spectacular and the large deck and pool were an added bonus. The kitchen was well-equipped for us to cook our own meals. The location was great, giving us a base from which to cycle, hike, golf and, of course, sample the excellent wineries. We would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to return.

Great house/location!

Just got back from an extended weekend stay here with some girlfriends. We had a fantastic time! The pool was so great during the day and the house was perfect for what we needed. Other than wineries and a distillery trip we rarely left the property. It was the perfect set up for our time there. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Karen and Brook were both quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location, but there were some issues...

Overall, we had a great time due to the location of this property and the general Naramata area (there was a lot of fun stuff to do). There are some concerns that I'd like to leave in this review though. First off, communication from the owner/property manager was poor. I got a message with a house rule (in from the pool by 11) and then radio silence. We got to Naramata a bit early so I messaged the property owner through VRBO about a possible early check in and got no response. As such, we waited outside the property until 4pm to check in with the code provided by the listing. The code did not work, so I called the number on the listing and a confused man answered letting me know he no longer manages this property. I asked him if he could provide the number of the owner as his was the only number on the listing and he was kind enough to do so. I am honestly not sure what we would have done if he hadn't provided Karen's number as the code had changed from the one on the listing and we wouldn't have been able to access the house if he hadn't answered, and in turn, if Karen hadn't answered my phone call asking how to get in. The next glaring issue was cleanliness. It seemed as though the home had not been cleaned in a while. In fact, there was a note welcoming "Hayley and Guests" with some local beer/wine/crackers/cheese. Around the note, there was a bottle of wine and two beer cans. I'm not sure how long ago Hayley and guests had stayed but it made us feel as though the house may not have been cleaned since their reservation. The bedding/towels/amenities were abundant so that was a clear positive but again, the floors, walls, surfaces and couches were dirty and we did not feel comfortable using some of the spaces. The dishes also had stains and were not clean, we hand washed most and also ran the dishwasher to ensure cleanliness. We also wanted to do a bit of laundry after spending time in the pool and the dryer vent had likely not been cleaned for months - this is a major fire hazard. The area around the pool, though, was very clean. We spent a lot of time outside on the patio and around the pool as a result of the cleanliness issue inside. There are also a lot of spiders, ants and other critters inside the house (2 of which were on our beds). We realize due to the area, this was a possibility but the windows did not feel secure to ensure that critters didn't get inside. Again, overall - the location was beautiful and the pool was great.

Family get together

We had seven family members from BC, Alberta and Manitoba gather here for a wonderful week. The house was very spacious and clean. The grounds were very pretty. The weather cooperated the entire week until the smoke from the U.S. fires moved in on our last day. The pool was beautiful but omg it was so cold. Too cold even for my husband who enjoys a 'refreshing ' dip. If the pool was heated this vacation rental would be a '10'!
