Location

The property is situated in the peaceful town of Dormelletto on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. The town has several small beaches and lidos, including Spiaggia di Dormelletto (a 15-minute walk), and is well placed to visit the picturesque town of Arona (a 7-minute drive). From here, visitors can take the ferry from the port (a 15-minute walk) and visit the small islands of Isola Bella and the Palazzo Borromeo, the imposing 17th-century palace and its famous gardens.

Arona has a lakeside promenade and a well-preserved historic centre with traditional Italian architecture, with wonderful bistros, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy culinary influences from France, Switzerland and Italy.

Dormelletto is also a great base to explore other charming towns and attractions around Lake Maggiore, including Stresa (a 30-minute drive), Verbania (a 40-minute drive) and the Villa Taranto Botanical Gardens (a 42-minute drive). Visitors can also enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the nearby hills and forests. The closest supermarket is a 10-minute walk away, and there are several restaurants within a 5-10-minute walk from the accommodation.
