Raleigh's Rest is a newly renovated spacious first floor apartment above the fabulous Sir Walter Raleigh country pub in East Budleigh. It has been lovingly renovated maintaining original features. Woodbury Common, the River Otter and Budleigh Salterton are all within a pleasant walk through the countryside and lanes. This really is a quaint unspoilt Devon village with its ancient church and village school and shop run by the friendly local community.
A flight of stairs leads from the entrance door to the private apartment door.
Bedroom 1: A king size bed with a chest of drawers, hanging rail & arm chair.
Bedroom 2: A super king bed which can be split into two singles on request, chest of drawers & hanging rail.
Bathroom: A walk in shower with heated towel rail and sink. There is a separate WC in the hall.
Kitchen: The modern kitchen has fitted appliances, a dishwasher, and a full-size fridge/freezer.
Living Area: The open plan living area has a dining table for 4 guests, comfortable seating and a smart TV.
Parking: Guests can unload outside the property; parking is free in the village car park 50 meters from the property.
The award winning pub below is community ran and serves delicious food and drinks, check the opening times on their website, along with any events such as live music & quiz nights here.
This property does not have a washing machine, the nearest laundry services can be found at Dinan way in Exmouth or Johnsons in Sidmouth.
A perfect location for walking, swimming, golf, art, fishing, birdwatching along the River Otter, exploring the South West Coast Path or just relaxing. Locations nearby include East Devon Golf Club, Bicton Botanical Gardens, Otterton Mill, Exmouth, Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve, Sidmouth, Exeter City Centre and Killerton Gardens. The Donkey Sanctuary, Crealy and Pecorama are all nearby for fun filled days with the kids.
