Perfection by the sea

There is nothing better than waking up to a beautiful ocean view and the sound of the sea to create the perfect vacation. The "C" house offers exactly that!! This fantastic home has spectacular unobstructed views and is right on the sand great for sunbathing or sunset stroll. The fire pit(s) is a great way to spend the evening after the sun goes down. Everything you need is provided. The house manager is hands down the most attentive, informative, and accommodating manager I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She is available to help at any moment and is a delight to work with! We had a magical experience and can't wait to rent the "C" house in the future!!

Great Views, Great Location, Amazing house. The Owner maintains constant communication via text messages and availble to help 24/7. The beds were great. This place is an amazing location and setup for family get togethers or romantic get aways. 5* through out the whole trip.

Don’t rent from this person

I’ve never ever had a worse rental experience! All you need to know about this property is that it could be nice, but it’s not very clean and the host is the most unreasonable person I’ve ever dealt with in a rental situation. After bringing up my concerns after being there 10 minutes, she called and within minutes told me she “didn’t like my tone” when she was the one who raised her voice and then said, “I’d like you to leave” which I was glad to at that point. I’m sure she has some story about how I was ungrateful and unreasonable, but I just feel bad for the owner of this property because this woman has no business being in property management.

Perfect Oceanfront Getaway – Already Planning Our Return!

We had the most incredible stay at "Chateau by the C" to celebrate my birthday this past week. This picturesque oceanfront beach house exceeded all expectations. The large windows offered breathtaking views, and the home was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of seating both inside and out. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there's nothing like falling asleep and waking up to the soothing sound of ocean waves. The house came fully equipped with everything we could have needed, from board games to beach chairs and toys, kitchen appliances, deck furniture, and even a fire pit. We felt like the house had everything we needed for a laid-back beach vacation. Plus, it’s just a short walk to some great restaurants, which made it easy to enjoy the local scene without having to drive. Communication with the property manager was smooth and seamless. She was always available and even checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which added a personal and comforting touch. Overall, we loved every minute of our stay and are already looking forward to our next trip back. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE

This was the worst experience I’ve had at a rental. The house is fine (other than the fact that it’s advertised to sleep 8, but is really a 2 bedroom house with 2 crappy futons in a transition room downstairs. Paying to enjoy the beach is one thing, sleeping on a futon is another. If you have more than 2 adults, it’s not accommodating. Additionally, the neighborhood, neighbors and city HATE renters. We hosted a few celebrities of color, and Ventura lost its mind that blacks and Mexicans were somehow capable of renting this house. Racism is alive and well in Ventura. The neighbors HATE the fact that the owners have this house as a rental, and I was told by another neighbor, that they call the cops every week on renters in this house. I understand the neighbors position, but shame on the owners for trying to make money in a neighborhood that does not want them there. Within 10 minutes of arriving, the cops were called by the neighbors while we were unloading our luggage. They were called to the property multiple times by the neighbors throughout our 2 day stay. Funny part is that the 2 houses immediately adjacent, welcomed us into their homes and we joked and mingled over the fence. However, there are several others that are up in arms about this rental. End result was an absolutely terrible experience. The owners only exacerbated the situation. Now, the owners are claiming we took thousands in blankets & pillows. Liars. Shame on you. DO NOT RENT

Unbelievable views

The house is beautiful and has everything you and your family needs to have a wonderful time. The views are amazing from almost every room. We got caught in a unbelievable wind storm for 2 days but still were able to have fun in the house with the games that were available for us to use. My grand kids loved sitting by the big windows and watching the waves. Big shout out to the property manager. She was in constant communication with me making sure all our needs were meet. Definitely will be returning to this property.

Great Family Spot

My family of 7 (grandparents, brother’s family and mine) stayed here for a long weekend and were so pleased. The common area is magical - with enough comfortable seats for all around couch and table. Great to sit and watch the ocean - the windows are floor to ceiling! The kitchen is also spacious and great for cooking meals. It’s very social - you can be in the kitchen and talking to someone on the couch. All three bedrooms are nice and have some type of ocean view. Big closets to organize yourself! You are literally on the beach. One day we never left the house/beach. And it was our favorite day. There are beach chairs and towels available. We had a magical weekend!! The house host was super kind and helpful too. All in all, a great spot!

Perfect Beach Getaway!

Beautiful beach house right on the beach with unobstructed views of the ocean - water just a few feet away from the house. Great walking beach - daughter surfed right in front of the house. Fun area - restaurants within walking distance. House was perfect for a family of 4 - very well equipped with everything one would need. Will return!

Quick getaway staycation: Family outing

The pictures and notations accurately describes the home. The property is clean. Furnishings are excellent. Im surprise to find a printer is available in the 1st floor!). The kitchen is nicely appointed. We even found several Plastic cups for the younglings, if so needed. Luckily we love to cook so definitely appreciate whats in the kitchen. We noted nearby eateries are close by on Seaward street. The ocean view is nothing less than superb. The beach access is just outside the garage at the front of the house. I definitely, appreciate access to the garage (which also has a direct access to the house). Its large enough to fit my Ford Expedition. It would be nice to have a beach access via the backyard, where the outdoor shower is located to rinse off the sand and saltwater , rather than going thru the front of the house. Nevertheless, no complaints here. Boogie boards and beach chairs are readily available for use. We did not get to use them as we have brought our own. There are also numerous board games and outdoor games items to keep the young and the young at heart spend carefree days. The only somewhat negative during our stay is that the A/C is non-functional in the masters bedroom (2nd floor). Note that the central a/c in the 1st floor is a separate unit and that works fine. However, It did not dampen our stay. There was a on-shore breeze just enough to make it comfortable. However, I would imagine it might be problematic during a heatwave and have an off-shore breeze. But Im pretty sure it would be fixed eventually. Overall, our stay has been what my wife and I hoped for. The property manager is responsive and very accommodating. In my opinion, the malfunctioning A/c does not warrant enough to have a point taken. Kindly note for would be visitors, its a well cared house and not a hotel. Respect goes both ways. Respect the house and respect will be given in return. I definitely rank this property a 5-star and is on my short list to visit again. Thanks so much for your accommodations, Bunnie. We hope to visit this property again!

Perfect Beachfront Getaway

Our family had an amazing time on our vacation to Ventura at the Chateau by the “C”! The views from the second floor are unbelievable. The house is well furnished with everything you might need. We especially enjoyed the beach games that were available, like corn hole and ladder ball. The house is situated at the end of a small street in a quiet neighborhood and there is a supermarket, Starbucks and various restaurants within easy walking distance. Bunnie provided all kinds of useful information and was very responsive. When we arrived, a gift bottle of wine was waiting for us and music was playing on the entertainment center. We hope to return again soon!

Perfect beach getaway

Pierpont Bay is a great spot! Little town with restaurants in walking distance. Large beautiful beach with mountain scenery all around. House is right on sand. Beach not too crowded. Comfortable beds, clean, all amenities provided. Easy communication with owner. Our family had a really restful enjoyable weekend and look forward to returning again next year!

I stayed with my daughter. Our friends from Ventura popped in and out to surf, play yard games and make s’mores around the fire. Bunnie was wonderful ensuring we had everything we needed. The views are incredible!!!

Our family has always loved the water. We have been fortunate to travel to many places where we enjoyed the waters of the world. Ventura was the perfect place for us to explore being able to stay weekends and summers. Often our family would dive and snorkel the Channel Islands, an untouched natural wonder. Close by is Santa Barbara offering superb underwater diving different from Ventura. Surfing, boogie boarding, boating, and deep sea fishing are pleasures you will truly enjoy while visiting Ventura. Our hope is you and yours will love the area as much as we do!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Chateau "C" by the Sea has come full circle. It was time to update the Grand Chateau. The entire house has been totally remodeled from ceiling to floors. You will notice walking up to the front door all the personal touches from the large "C" on the door to the larger "C" on the oceanfront side of the house.

We have personally designed the stained glass windows throughout the home. View the windows at different times throughout the day to see the changing colors of the fish and birds. We have added large portholes where you can look at the ocean as if you are on a ship. You will love the comfort and space of the home allowing a flow that is geared towards relaxation.
