Syncocks Farm Cottage is a welcoming home set in the tranquil Devon countryside in the village of Petrockstow. Surrounded by open farmland and offering a private entrance. Syncocks Farm Cottage is a beautifully preserved Grade II listed home, with sections dating back to the mid-1300s. Constructed from traditional cob and stone, the cottage has been meticulously renovated using authentic materials and time-honoured techniques to protect its historic character. Exposed oak timbers and magnificent inglenook fireplaces with original bread ovens give the house a rich sense of heritage and create a warm, atmospheric setting that has proved especially appealing to previous guests.
Downstairs, the cottage offers comfortable and sociable living spaces designed for easy holiday living. The living room features a fireplace and TV, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day out. A well-proportioned dining area provides plenty of space for shared meals, while the fully equipped kitchen caters for all self-catering needs and a full range of cookware and utensils. A washing machine is also available for added convenience.
Step outside into the enclosed garden, where guests can enjoy outdoor furniture, a barbecue for al fresco dining, and a peaceful setting ideal for relaxing in the fresh countryside air.
Upstairs, the cottage comfortably accommodates up to eight guests across four well-appointed bedrooms. The accommodation includes a super king-size bedroom, two double bedrooms, and a twin bedroom with two single beds. One of the double bedrooms benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle and toilet. A family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms and includes a bath with shower over and toilet, ensuring comfort and flexibility for larger groups.
Guests have access to free private on-site parking within the property grounds. A private pond within the grounds, adding to the cottage's rural charm and relaxed atmosphere. The garden is fully fenced, making it a safe and enjoyable space for all guests to enjoy.
