Nice Home, Quiet setting.

We enjoyed the house. The gravel road is a little steep and the locals drive fast but it was no big deal. Short hope down to the lake and to the various restaurants and other attractions.

Beautiful Home - Great Location

The property was amazing, just as advertised. All amenties were up-to-date and in good working order. Kitchen had everything we needed plus extras. Check-in & out was super easy. Host was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Urine pool

Upstairs in the bathroom under the vanity, there was a rug rolled up that had a sign on it that said reeks of your gross. Upstairs had a slight smell of urine but going downstairs there was mildew smell, and the urine smell was so bad! We had to cut our vacation very short. The second morning I was sent a text to take a survey on how they were doing. I gave them a thumbs down and the text responded that someone would call shortly to sort out any issues. I patiently waited and decided that they were not going to ruin my vacation and went out on the boat, no phone calls no emails no contact from them whatsoever!! So downstairs, we left the windows open to air out all the mold and mildew smell and tried our best to get rid of the urine smell, so we cleaned, No success. So the next morning we packed up and left on our six hour trip back home. Stopped in the office on the way out. It was said that since I didn’t call them and complain, there was nothing they could do for me. So don’t trust the automated stuff that they send you because apparently they don’t care, nobody’s looking at it. Even after I complained in the office, they wanted me to stick around so that they could go clean it. I think they should’ve clean before I got there and made sure it was ready, No way this was done, because they would’ve found the note on the rug Under the vanity upstairs and The urine smell! DO NOT STAY!! Check in 9/2/24 4pm

Fun place quaint with great fire pit, deck and grill

We really enjoyed our stay the property was nice love the fire pit it was clean and had most everything we needed. A few little quirky things that if fixed would make it much better. There was not enough silverware for the amount of people allowed in the house. The microwave worked, but was broken the plate did not have the turning wheel in it. The pool table we used it despite having a tear in the felt. The bathroom door squeaked so loudly it would wake everybody up if you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but we oiled it so that’s fixed. All small things certainly didn’t ruin our fun, but something you should be aware of. The only other thing was how far the dock was and the hill we had to climb coming back. None of us realize in the listing (and 4 of us looked at it) that it was so far. We ended up just driving back-and-forth in the car. We might rent there again, but maybe next time we’ll splurge for waterfront. All and all for the price we were very pleased.

Deep Creek Vacation

We had never been to "DC" before and got to enjoy it. We rented a boat and kept it at the dock down the hill from the house. Easy drive there and could park car there. Some of the cleats need replacing on the dock. Bathroom showers need a good deep cleaning but overall a nice house. The bedding needs a good deep cleaning too, to include the mattresses. Firepit was great.

Great winter get away.

My family enjoyed a few days at this cabin like house. My teenagers enjoyed the game room and hot tub. My wife and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the accommodations and the open space.

Loved it

The cabin was beautiful and comfortable! If I had to pick something to complain about it would be that I wasn’t familiar with deep creek and assumed that lake access meant we were closer/ right on the lake, the cabin sits back up on a hill and is private but that’s quite a hike up hill carrying your fishing gear/ kayak. The cabin was great the lake beautiful and we’d definitely go back again!

Happy Trails Review

This property was in good condition and conveniently located to the lake and local attractions. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary amenities and the outdoor grill that was supplied with 2 full propane tanks. Enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and outdoor surroundings. HOWEVER, the only downfall is that the home did not come equipped with screens for windows and sliding door. This was very disappointing because both windows and doors could not be left open to enjoy the fresh mountain air at night without insects entering the house. Property owner rep was contacted twice by the “Taylor Made Deep Creek Vacations & Sales” rep but to no avail. Follow-up emails were sent and, again, no response from the rep as to why screens were missing. This situation plus a broken dehumidifier, which created a musky smell in game room, prevented complete satisfaction of the rental property for my family.

Lots of space

This property had any more space than I anticipated. Large kitchen, dining room and family room! Yard space was also great as our smaller ones enjoyed baseball outside. The house is right in the middle of all the action...very centrally located. We had a great vacation!

Nice house, good location for Wisp.

We liked the house and it was great for our two families. Easy to travel back and forth to Wisp everyday. I would give the house a five if the following things were updated/changed: The upstairs bedrooms need larger/longer dressers so you have room to put some of your belongs in or on top of. Same with small bathroom that was in the bedroom - needs shelves to put bathroom supplies on! We did bring our dog, but obviously there has been many doggie accidents in the basement. If they removed the carpet and put in a hard surface floor it would look and smell a lot better! Hot Tub had some algae in it and looked like it needed to be drained. Would have also been nice if it was heated for our arrival - could not use it the first night because it was only 65 degrees at check in. Overall though we enjoyed the house and amenities.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is very spacious on both levels. The furniture in very comfortable, including the beds. The house was very clean. The wooded lot, large fire pit, hot tub and deck were great features. Grill was clean and stocked with propane. The kitchen was spacious with lots of surface areas to prepare food. Our only concern was that the kitchen lacked a lot of basic supplies compared to other homes we have rented in the DCL area. For example, this kitchen had very limited pots and pans, mixing bowls, cookware, bakeware and there were barely enough dishes for our family of 5 to get through a day without running the dishwasher twice. We would rent again but would bring more kitchen items with us. The house is dog friendly and our dog enjoyed the spacious yard. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and foosball table. The dock access is just a short walk down the road. This house if very close to WISP and to town so getting to the market, movie theatre, shops and restaurants was a quick drive.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the location but upon arrival the rental was not in good condition it was dirty scuffed up walls with tons of spider webs . when we went to lower level it smelled of moisture due to what looked like wood burning stove removed and the hole stuffed with shirts and a piece of cardboard . pool sticks were broken which was the main seller on choosing this cabin . wifi did not work someone had to come repair second day of stay.

We found the home to be in good shape overall, very comfortable for our small family of 3, and in a good, central location. The pictures are a very accurate reflection of the home. We enjoyed spending time in the living room because it was too cold to spend much time outdoors (end of March). All of the beds were comfortable and we would consider staying here again tough that steep hill is a bit of a factor. The only surprises were a few missing items (spatula, hangers, light in fridge). The outdoor area was littered with cigarette butts but the interior was clean and smoke-free. We never did find the lake access area.

Kitchen utensils all burnt and dirty as were pot holders. Hot tub was warm but had very few jets - more of a bath than jacuzzi.

Had higher hopes for the weekend

Reviewer Comments: My fiancé and I started the weekend by checking the place out pretty thoroughly. We were disappointed to find a huge water leak downstairs in front of one of the closets from where a hose had not been properly screwed back on. This left a huge wet spot on the carpet spreading out over several feet. The hot tub was also terribly disgusting. It was covered in algae and smelled awful. There was even a piece of paper stating it had last been cleaned January 8 (our stay was the 19-21st). Once I called the rental company, they sent someone over in about an hour. He secured the hose and said that was fixed. He then emptied out the hot tub and cleaned it. Unfortunately it was not able to be used the first night of our stay, but was hot enough for the second night. After those problems were fixed, the rest of the weekend was okay. We did found various pieces of trash throughout the house (for example, a soda can under a bed.) I am glad the company sent someone over quick, but please check out your properties beforehand. There was nothing wrong with the property itself, but it wasn’t properly ready for guests during our stay.
