Everything about our stay was wonderful! Katy, the host was amazing from start to finish. She was excellent at communication. She was quick to answer any questions that we had prior, during, and after our trip. Her home was beautiful and was exactly as described. She goes above and beyond in making the home feel like your home! It had everything and more that you would need! We enjoyed the backyard. Our daughter loved being able to fish off the fishing dock! That was a fun perk! Thank you, Katy for making our first stay in Chincoteague so wonderful and full of great memories to cherish! We hope to be back someday soon!!

This property has all the comforts of home & then some. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Relaxing screened porch w/view of canal. Definitely dog friendly with side yard for dog duty. Owner was always available to answer questions. Nice place.

Katy has provided a superb home from home experience. Everything is excellent. The house is extremely comfortable, clean and bright. Well appointed and everything is high end. Katy has even provided so many extras, too numerous to mention, she has thought of everything snd worked hard to make it perfect. There's nothing short or missing, it's all there! It was a delight and peaceful and private to sit in the covered porch overlooking a creak in the mornings and evenings and even a little landing by the water with seating. Katy was easy to contact abd very friendly.I have no hesitation in recommending this exceptional home.

We have stayed here several times. I appreciate the cleanliness of the property, a super stocked home that has just about everything you might need during your stay. It’s lovely to spend time on the quiet and private screened porch overlooking the little canal and be serenaded by birds. This is a a quiet neighborhood and we walked into town daily. We love staying here! Katy is easy to communicate with and we appreciate her so much as well.

Arrival was seamless. Katy was so responsive to questions and requests. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was VERY WELL stocked with everything you would need, including items not normally provided at a VRBO home. And the location was literally right around the corner from the carnival grounds!! We had a wonderful visit.

Haven’t been to Chincoteague in probably 20years, this was a great property to return to the island. The pool was a great perk, especially with the kids. The house was clean and well organized, we would definitely come back.

Our Vacation

The property is beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped. The bottom floor has a very nice open kitchen and living room area. There are plenty of bathrooms, which makes it very comfortable. Every room has its TV. The house also includes an attached 4-season porch, which is lovely and adds space to the house. We enjoyed cooking and using high-quality equipment. We loved the automatic salt and pepper. One does have to drive to the beach about 5 miles. There is a small community pool. It would be nice if it were bigger, but we enjoyed going. I highly recommend renting the property. The host is very communicative and has written information regarding the internet, trash removal, etc. Everything in the house is labeled and well-kept. There is a 60.00 charge for bathroom towels and linens. So, if you do not want to pay extra, I suggest you bring your own.

Family Time

Perfect Stay!

We loved everything about our stay here. The home was clean, spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed. It was so organized and that made everything easy to locate. Instructions were very thorough. We were within a 5-10 minute drive to everything we wanted to do on the island. Our 6 year old granddaughter was in heaven with all the toys, games the house had. I didn’t even unpack the items we brought from home for her. We especially enjoyed the outdoor areas, the screened porch and dock. Thank you for a fabulous stay! :)

First time in Chincoteague

I let my son pick the place for our little spring break trip and he chose very well! This property was very spacious and clean. There were also so many items provided that we could have packed a little lighter. Katy was very easy to communicate with and the location was perfect. We will definitely be back. It was an amazing experience for our little family and two dogs.

Terrific! Property was clean and tidy. Lots of labels in bins, drawers, boxes, closets. These labels made it easy to find anything and everything. Speaking of anything, the kitchen had it all. Microwave, toaster, keurig, DW, washer and dryer. Plenty of TVs, grill on the back porch. I’m getting tired of listing. Easy access to Chincoteague and the beach and wildlife refuge. Highly recommended.

The location of Seaside Serenity was perfect! It was far enough away from the tourist spots to be quiet but close enough for a short drive to local attractions. The house was beautifully appointed and the hostess was so helpful and gracious!

Comfortable and Perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything you could possibly need was there. I was amazed at how clean and organized everything was. My husband was shocked how everything was labeled, I personally loved it. There were even some toys available for our 2 year old which was a nice surprise. It was a bit cold so we didn’t enjoy outside as much but it looked like it would have been really nice and comfortable to sit on the screened porch or in the little backyard by the water. Definitely would stay here again! Thank you!

This place has everything!

Clean, comfortable house stocked with everything you could ever want! Kitchen is outfitted for a chef, nice screened in porch,pool supplies, books,games,puzzles, pet needs,etc etc etc. Host was responsive and pleasant. Great house for a getaway!

A lifelong Chincoteague vacationer, I first visited the island because my mother – an educator for Maryland's Montgomery County Public Schools – fell in love with “Misty of Chincoteague” after assigning the book to her reading class. At the time, a fellow teacher had a vacation home on the island, and my mother was enthralled with the idea of visiting with her 4-year-old daughter (me). Our first vacation here was enchanting; I’m sure she never imagined she’d develop such affection for this island community.

After annual vacations and eventually retirement, my mother fulfilled her life-long dream of owning a Chincoteague vacation home. Through 2016, she cherished her time at Seaside Serenity and shared her love of the island by inviting friends and family, befriending fellow vacationers and residents, and throwing marvelous parties and get-togethers. An amazing hostess, she loved to entertain, and her parties were legendary.

I wanted to continue my mother’s legacy of offering a welcoming and comfortable home-away-from-home, so I hope you and your guests find Chincoteague as peaceful and charming as I and that your stay in Seaside Serenity leaves you restored, rejuvenated, and wanting to return to the island year after year! —Katy

Tucked away in a private community, Seaside Serenity is a peaceful getaway with just a quick walk to spectacular bayside sunsets, carnival grounds, and downtown Chincoteague. There is absolutely nothing like relaxing at the pool after a day on the beach or pony-watching on Assateague. With outdoor amenities including a fishing dock overlooking the canal, Seaside Serenity will surely leave vacationers rested and relaxed.
