The Carriage House in Humshaugh, Northumberland sleeps three in six bedrooms.



The Space:

The Carriage House consists of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher and toaster, a dining area with seating for six guests and a sitting area with Smart TV and gas stove-effect fire. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor double with en-suite shower room, and two doubles, one with en-suite bathroom and the other with an en-suite shower room. Outside there is a garden with picnic bench, and parking is available. Within 1.7 miles you will find a shop and pub and within 0.9 miles, the River North Tyne and please note that one well-behaved dog is welcome (additional charge is applicable) but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. The Carriage House is a splendid dwelling for a family getaway in Northumberland. Note: Guests can access nearby spa facilities for free between 4-6pm. Note: Guests are able to dine and use the hotel bar (for payment). Note: upstairs is accessed via a spiral staircase, unsuitable for those with limited mobility



The Neighborhood:

Humshaugh is an historic Northumberland village, 6 miles from the region’s main market town of Hexham - a bustling town with a fine Saxon crypt, shops and restaurants. A short drive will take you to pretty Corbridge, which dates back to Roman times and has pubs, specialist shops, and a 12th century bridge spanning the River Tyne. A day exploring the many delights of Hadrian’s Wall shouldn’t be missed and a little further afield will take you to the Heritage Coastline, as well as the castles of Alnwick, Warkworth, Dunstunburgh and Bamburgh. For those who prefer staying closer to home, Humshaugh has a great pub serving quality food and real ales, an award-winning shop and weekly visits from a fish and chip van! Walks and cycle routes from the doorstep will take you through the Tyne Valley, and this is a perfect location for all that Northumberland has to offer.
