The main sitting room faces south, overlooking the terrace, with plush seating and an elegant layout that makes it equally suited to relaxing or hosting.

The kitchen is a dream, with painted cabinetry, stone flooring and plenty of workspace. A beautiful breakfast area is the perfect place to start the day, while the separate formal dining room within the sitting room provides a tasteful space for sharing suppers and conversation. Upstairs, four sumptuous bedrooms flaunt individual styling, texture and hand-chosen furniture, and the house has three bathrooms as well as a show-stopping ground floor cloakroom.

Set in the heart of Truro and a short walk from the Royal Cornwall Museum, some of the city’s best dining spots are on the doorstep. Truro Farmer’s Market is held every Wednesday and Saturday, a 3-minute drive on Lemon Quay. This is the place to buy local produce or to sample street food from local businesses. Victoria Gardens is a 5-minute walk which is great for a morning jog, or a picnic with the family, while slightly further afield is the National Trust-owned Trelissick Garden, where wandering the rooms of its stately home, as well as lovely views over the Fal estuary can be enjoyed.
