The property was amazing! Very spacious and clean. There was everything we needed for cooking and they had what we needed for our one year old granddaughter. We absolutely loved being able to fish from the property and use their row boats, kayaks and paddle boards. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit as well. Host was very responsive whenever we had a question. Would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful Vacation

The home was lovely, well-appointed and provided ample space for our large family. The lake view was beautiful and we enjoyed all the amenities including the fishing boats, paddle boards and kayaks. Although we enjoyed visits to local parks and scenic locations, we equally enjoyed the time we spent in the lake house, which included fishing, walks around the lake, making s'more's over a bonfire and looking at the stars at night from the back deck. We had a wonderful vacation that we will remember for many years to come.

50 year girlfriends get together

The house was absolutely beautiful! The best equipped home that I have stayed in. Colleen was great with her communication and info about house and the area. So much that you can do right at the house if you like lake activities and fishing. We loved the deck. It a great house and we will look forward to returning at some point. I highly recommend!!!!

Family Vacay

The house and property is perfect for a family vacation. It is located very close to the ski areas and many beautiful trails for hiking. The trail around the lake (on the property) was an extra bonus. Having two living spaces with game tables was a great setup for our family.

YoZo family Christmas gathering

We stayed 6 nights over Christmas. Very spacious with ample room for all to do their “their” thing-reading, playing video games, cooking, and just talking. It snowed which added to the Christmas festivities. Overall, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Awesome stay!

The property was great and exactly as listed. It was spacious, clean, conveniently located, and very pretty! Less than 10 minutes to both ski resorts, on a beautiful pond/lake, and in a really nice/quiet neighborhood. We’ll definitely be back!

Family Getaway

We spent a wonderful week in this comfortable home. The small lake was a lot of fun for the teenagers! The kitchen served us well as we cooked for a large group. The home was very clean and worked well for our large family.

Amazing stay

We stayed at this property twice now. The property is large, very clean in a very quiet setting. We stayed in late November so we were unable to take advantage of the lake, we did use the pool table and shuffleboard table. The host is wonderful. She responded very quickly. We are looking forward to staying there again.

Perfect location

We had an amazing stay during Labor Day weekend at this property. The house had plenty of space for everyone, was clean, and sits on a beautiful quiet little lake. Having access to the fishing boat, kayaks, and paddle boards was a nice touch. It is in an excellent location about 10 minutes from Davis/Thomas. We cannot wait to visit again next year!

Family Get Away

We gathered family from Texas, New Jersey and PA at this house. The description was very accurate, and we had a great time. My brother-in-law even asked about getting this house again when we do an east coast gathering again. Would highly recommend an escape to this hidden gem.

Lovely, clean, well equipped

We wanted to ski in WV and found this listing. The home is ideally situated to ski Canaan or Timberline. The amenities in the house made it feel like home. Lake view from the hot tub was wonderful after a day on the mountain. We would definitely return.

Great pick for a vacation rental!

Our family stayed at this property for a long weekend. The house was clean and fully equipped with everything needed. The property and views are beautiful with a full view of the lake. The neighborhood is quiet and just moments from skiing and sledding Any time I sent an email for questions I received a quick response. This property was beautiful and the house was really nice with much to offer. We will definitely be renting this home again and would recommend to anyone looking.

Perfect Spot!

The location was a great distance from all the activities we wanted to do while in the area (Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Seneca Caverns, Davis, Thomas, etc.). The house was perfect for our family of 10. Everyone had their own space! Being on the water was so awesome. The house had a fishing boat, 2 kayaks, 2 lily pads, and fishing gear (although we brought our own to use). We spent hours each day on the water.

Family snow tubing weekend

What an amazing property! We like to take a long winter weekend and enjoy the outdoor activities of Tucker Co. The house is located between Canaan Valley/timberline and town of Davis so an easy quick drive into downtown for food and music. The house is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The large fireplaces were so enjoyable and the views were fabulous. Black out curtains over patio doors in bedrooms helped insure a lazy morning. Plenty of parking available and ample space for our family gathering of 14. Snow shovels and salt were available on the front porch and the community snow plow kept the driveway and roads clear in spite of heavy snowfall. The property is two thumbs way way up! We will likely book again!

Great family vacation!

My family of six plus a few friends really enjoyed our six-day stay at Colleen’s home! This house has a great location and had everything for us: a spacious layout, large bedrooms and a basement floor that was ideal for the college-aged young adults. Everyone had fun using the kayaks, row boats, and paddle boards that are kept at the house. The lake is beautiful! We enjoyed going for walks, using the fire pit and hot tub and gathering on the deck. The owners thought of everything in this house and it is so well maintained! My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing and beautiful home! Communication with Colleen was easy and she responded quickly to any questions. I would give this property 10 stars!!

Perfect vacation home

My extended family and I have been coming to West Virginia to vacation for years. This was our first time staying at this home and it was perfect. It was the first time we've stayed somewhere that still felt like a vacation even if you never left the property. Ample area to walk/bike, fishing and lake fun right out the back door, with everything you need right there. There was a ton of room for all 11 of us. And it was hard to decide which living room was better, they both had a beautiful view. The owners do a great job making sure you have everything you need, and unlike a lot of rentals, everything feels nice and comfortable without being stuffy. You can tell this home is so loved by the owners by the personal family photos, it's even perfectly landscaped. It's a beautiful property, the photos honestly don't do it justice. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Home and Location

Awesome house and location. We had an amazing week and communicating with the owner went really well. House has everything needed. LOTS of room to spread out and relax. Comfortable beds and living room furniture was modern/up to date. Large, clean, and well stocked kitchen and large dining room area for everyone. Great to have linens and towels provided. Views from the deck were amazing. Loved the lake and used the boat for fishing and loved the paddle boards and kayaks. Caught lots and lots of 11” - 13” bass and some nice crappie too. Really enjoyed Blackwater, Douglas and Kennedy falls. Canaan Valley state park was great for playing tennis and the golf course was in great shape with beautiful views (deer walking everywhere). Overall a five star vacation

Wonderful Summer Getaway

Rented the house for a week for a trip with friends. 3 families, 13 total, including 7 kids. We could not get the kids off of the lake all week. They enjoyed the kayaks, rowboats and paddleboards and were able to swim and fish as well. It was about a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, ice cream, and a couple of restaurants in Davis. The house was extremely clean and welcoming. Game tables, gas grill, gas fire pit, and hot tub were all great inclusions. My wife, friends, and I agree it was a great week and we had a wonderful time at the house. The owner, Colleen, was excellent. She had great communications and quickly responded to questions. Highly recommend this property if you have a large group for a getaway, reunion, or whatever.

Beautiful house and surroundings

Super easy checkin and hosts responsive to all questions. Everything was perfect during our one week family vacation. We particularly appreciated the use of the owners boats and fishing equipment. Being right on the lake was wonderful! Very much enjoyed our stay.
