Originally a tailor's shop, this characterful home blends period features with modern comforts, creating a unique stay for families, groups, professionals and visitors to Cambridge.



Ideally located just approximately 5-8 minutes walk from Cambridge Railway Station and a 10-minutes walk to the historic city centre, the house offers the perfect base for exploring the city's renowned colleges, shops, restaurants and attractions.



The Space:

The Old Tailor's House offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. The property features four well-appointed bedrooms, comprising three double bedrooms and one single bedroom. There is free Parking for 1 vehicle only.

Please note that if you need to park, the entrance to the courtyard is 235 cm wide. Vehicles wider than 235 cm will not be able to access the courtyard and should arrange alternative parking.

An en-suite bathroom attached to the master bedroom at the first floor

A shared family bathroom located on the first floor

A convenient ground-floor toilet and wash basin



The heart of the home is the spacious open-plan living and dining area, providing the perfect space for relaxing, socialising, or enjoying meals together after a day exploring Cambridge.



A separate fully equipped kitchen offers everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals, whether you're staying for a few nights or an extended visit.



Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge & freezer, full dining ware, and a variety of utensils for your convenience.

Toaster, Microwave, Kettle & Coffee Machine. Enjoy complimentary Nespresso coffee pods and tea to help you settle in and enjoy your first few days of your stay.

Please note that the house is equipped with a stovetop with oven – This is a traditional Everhot range cooker. That when turned on, it operates at a single, constant temperature. Unlike modern cookers, the heat cannot be adjusted up or down. It provides steady warmth and is designed for slow cooking and keeping food warm.



Laundry & Ironing Facilities - The property is equipped with a washing machine, a clothes airer for drying, and an iron with ironing board for your convenience.



Traveling with an infant? We can provide a travel cot & highchair upon request.



The spacious living room features comfortable seating, making it the perfect place for families and groups to relax and spend time together after a day exploring Cambridge. A Smart TV is provided for your entertainment. While there are no local cable channels available, guests can easily access their favourite streaming services by logging into their own accounts, including Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer and more.



Fast WiFi Internet Provided



Outside, guests can enjoy a private courtyard garden, offering a peaceful spot to unwind with a morning coffee or evening drink after a busy day in the city.

The beautiful Cambridge University Botanic Garden is just a short stroll away. Simply walk to the top of Norwich Street, turn right, and the main entrance is approximately 200 metres along the road.



The area is surrounded by some of Cambridge's renowned schools and colleges, making it a popular location for visiting families, academics and professionals. Nature lovers will also appreciate being close to Lammas Land and the picturesque River Cam, where you can enjoy riverside walks, watch the punters make their way towards Grantchester, and spot the famous grazing cattle during the warmer months.



Cambridge city centre, with its historic colleges, museums, independent shops, cafés and restaurants, is just a 12-minute walk from the property.



For food lovers, the vibrant Mill Road district is approximately 15 minutes away on foot and offers an excellent selection of independent cafés, international restaurants, bakeries and local shops that showcase Cambridge's diverse and welcoming community.



Getting Around:

For those who enjoy walking, the city centre is approximately a 12-minute stroll along Hills Road and Regent Street, placing Cambridge's historic colleges, shopping districts, cafés and attractions within easy reach.



Regular bus services can be found just a short walk away on Hills Road, providing convenient access to Cambridge city centre and surrounding areas.



Cambridge Railway Station is also conveniently located just an 8-minute walk away (at a brisk pace) via Station Road, offering excellent rail connections to London, Stansted Airport and destinations across the UK.

Once your booking is confirmed, rest assured that our price rates include fresh linen, soft towels, and the final cleaning fee. Additional housekeeping services are available for an extra charge.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO REVIEW THE HOUSE RULES PRIOR TO BOOKING.



We have a strict policy against parties or events of any kind on the premises.



Before check-in, the lead guest must fill the check-in form, agree to our Terms & Conditions and upload a copy of a valid ID for all adults (over 18) staying at the property. The form must be filled at least 24 hours prior to the check in date. We operate a self-check-in system and cannot meet our guests to check their IDs and verify guests in person. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being cancelled and the cancellation policy will still apply.



SAFETY & SECURITY: Please make sure you close and lock all the windows and doors when you are not on the property. If the property is found left unsecured (windows or doors open/unlocked) during your stay and/or at check-out, we retain the right to charge a penalty fee. A fee of £80 will also apply if the keys are misplaced during your stay or not returned to the lockbox at check-out.



A £500 security deposit pre-authorisation will be placed on your payment card two days before check-out and will be released after your stay, provided the property is left in accordance with our house rules and no damage or additional charges are identified.



Please note that this security deposit does not apply to bookings made through Airbnb or Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.



Housekeeping for Extended Stays. For stays of 10 nights or longer, an interim housekeeping service or professional linen change must be arranged during your stay to help maintain the property to our high standards.



Please do not wash the provided bed linen or towels, as they are professionally laundered by our specialist linen supplier. Unauthorised washing, excessive soiling, or damage requiring replacement may result in additional charges.



If an interim housekeeping service is not arranged and extra cleaning is required at check-out to restore the property to its original condition, additional cleaning charges may apply.



To help us prepare the property for our next guests, we kindly ask that you leave the home in a similar general condition to how it was presented at check-in. This includes disposing of excessive rubbish and ensuring that dishes, cookware and kitchen utensils are rinsed, cleared away or loaded into the dishwasher before departure. Additional cleaning charges may apply where the property requires significantly more cleaning than is normally expected following check-out.
