Escape to this stunning country getaway in the heart of beautiful North Devon. Perfect for group getaways, this spacious and stylish holiday retreat offers plenty of modern luxury and comfort. It’s within reach of fantastic beaches, including Peppercombe, Bucks Mills and Westward Ho! (all within 9 miles). Explore the cobbled streets of Appledore and Clovelly (both under 12 miles) or stop by the pretty pannier market and RHS Rosemoor in Great Torrington (11 miles). The town of Bideford is 9 miles away and home to a charming high street. From here, catch the ferry to Lundy Island, renowned for its rugged beauty and wildlife, or join the beautiful Tarka Trail, a traffic-free cycle path that leads to the coast. For more family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are both exciting attractions within 8.5 miles. This large, luxury retreat with wonderful views is tucked away on a peaceful, no-through road, part of a tiny hamlet of private dwellings.
Enter the light and airy hall, then head into the welcoming lounge, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors opening onto the first lovely patio area. Chat late into the night on the comfy sofas or cosy up with a film on the Smart TV. Three steps link the lounge to the large kitchen/diner. With a large dining table for 12, it boasts plenty of space for cooking, dining and sharing special occasions with all the family. Natural light pours through the impressive bi-folding doors, providing rural views as your perfect dinner backdrop; on warm days, open them up for wonderful indoor/outdoor dining. A separate laundry room with a WC sits just off the hall, adding convenience. Each spacious bedroom boasts its own en-suite, ensuring privacy and comfort for every guest. The ground floor has three bedrooms, one king with Smart TV and two king-size zip-and-links (can be made into 2’ 6” twin beds on request). All with en-suite wet rooms with walk-in showers, these are great options for anyone with accessibility needs – please get in touch for more information. Upstairs, you’ll find a king bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a king zip-and-link (can be 2’ 6” twin beds on request) with an en-suite wet room, and a king-size with an en-suite wet room. As an added luxury, underfloor air-source heating runs throughout this beautiful retreat, perfect for warming toes when climbing out of bed each morning.
Step outside via the immense bi-fold doors in the kitchen/diner, and onto the first of two beautiful patios. Dine alfresco on warm, sunny days with outdoor seating and a BBQ, and spend evenings sharing a drink beside the fire pit. The second patio also offers a delightful space to unwind on beautiful days, with a selection of sun loungers – during the warmer months, make sure you bring a good book and your suncream! If you have youngsters travelling with you, you won’t be short on entertainment. The large lawned garden has a swing set, slide and football net, alongside a games shed with a pool/snooker table and additional garden games. The property has off-road parking for three cars, with further parking for two cars by arrangement with the owners.
