Marco Isla 4th of July week

The accommodations and location of the place were excellent. However, the cleanliness left something to be desired as the pillows were all yellow-stained and had an unpleasant smell. The closet in the bathroom also had an old, musky odor. we had to go to purchase pillows and bed linens. It seemed like the owner still kept clothing items and shoes in the premises. some of the drawers had clothing inside and there were shoes in the closet

Unhealthy conditions but great location

This unit was not updated probably since the 90s. That was not the problem. Just because you don’t have an updated unit does not mean that you cannot keep it in good condition. The owner has way too much of his “stuff” laying around in random drawers. That I can get over, but the fact that there was black mold in many areas of the bathroom…. supposedly the place was professionally cleaned. Even to do the minimal things to that unit , replacing Hardware, replacing a microwave that has a broken handle and a refrigerator that was from the 90s as well. Just some things to spruce up the place a bit. It probably would’ve been a good idea to have the lights cleaned above the kitchen From the dead flies that gather. I just can’t get past the black mold and uncleanliness of the air vents and ceiling above them! The best thing and only thing was the location to the beach across the street. I surely don’t ever want to give bad reviews, but take more pride in your condo. It’s in a beautiful area.

The owner, however, needs to seriously consider updates and fixes in the bathroom, kitchen, couch and bed. The bathroom was outdated and the faucets were difficult to use. The kitchen appliances were outdated and had problems. The bed was lumpy and the couch has lost its support. Even the linens were old!

We sank toward the depression in the center each night. The pool in the complex is very nice. You are almost directly across the street from the JW Marriott. There is easy beach access right in front of the building. You have to buy your own toilet paper and supplies, which is questionable for an expensive 5 day stay in a condo. Overall, it is a great condo in a great location.

Family Getaway

The condo was as described, and in a fantastic location directly across from public beach access. We enjoyed mornings on the beach and afternoons in the pool at the condo. The accommodations were perfect for 3 people, and they were very clean. Highly recommend!

Very Disappointed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Couldn’t believe I paid top $$ for this rental - it was dirty (dirty toaster that barely worked, black mold around tub, dust on dishes; in glasses!) and peeling paint, water pouring out of cabinet (had to call a plumber to fix an obviously ongoing problem - missed a half day of vacation), cabinets were all stuffed full of owner’s junk. Just an all around disappointing experience.

Perfect getaway!

This cute apartment was a couple minute walk to the beach and tons of restaurants close by. Anything and everything we needed was stocked here from coolers and chairs to bikes and golf clubs. Loved our stay here, the island and people were great! Apartment was a little outdated but for the convenience of location and price can't complain.

The only issue we had was with the bed. The mattress seamed to be very old and worn out with parts of it sunken in resulting in some very restless nights. We tried the pullout and unfortunately that was just as bad with the head of the mattress sitting significantly lower than the foot. If the mattress were to be changed, there wouldn't be anything to complain about as it was clean, had tons of amenities and a great location!

The property is in a great location and there are plenty of amenities. The building is nice and secure. The only thing we didnt like is the matress on the bed as well as the matress on the pullout had to be 20 years old. They were caved in and offered very little support. If they updated the mattresses it would change things drastically. We had 4horrible nights of sleep as a result.
