Our 30th year in The Loghaven

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always our stay at The Loghaven was filled with many more memories this year. We now have grandkids sharing the cottage. You cannot beat the location. Five minutes from anything you need. Sad to see the bakery closed. Knockers for pizza is still a favorite. Enjoyed the eagles everyday as they continue to nest across the bay. Thank you for a great week!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very good overall. Still disappointed in how the people who live there think it is their own personal lake and property. Still a few things need to be repaired in the Loghaven. The toilet paper holder constantly falls off, the 2nd light from the left of the lights in the main bathroom blinks and needs to be looked at and the towel bar in same bathroom falls out of the holder.

The Loghaven Rocks

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying in the Loghaven for over 30 years, same July week, and same group of resort people are all together. This year had a birthday celebration at the Timbers with about 60 of us. We have had fishing tournaments, cooking contests, and baby/wedding showers at this resort.The Loghaven has been home away from home with nice ammenitites. The open deck is the BEST place to watch the eagles in the morning across the bay. WE love the closed in porch on the other side for late night conversation. Also the location of Elberts resort in general is perfect. You can take a short walk or drive to a well stocked grocery store, bakery, bar/restaurant, ice cream/candy store, hotel, nicer dining (Pub N Prime) the list goes on and on. Thank you Loghaven owners!!

Drama at Elbert's

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A different cottage and week for us this year. Having to change our week due to a purchase of the cottage we were renting, the different cottage was great. However, there were a few crazy things going on with boat slips for certain people, fireworks late into the night, Bonfires on the beach area and then the party leaving it unattended with a blaring fire. Another miss was the amount of dogs on the property unattended, peeing on the sandy beach where children play, very unsanitary!

Our Stay at the Loghaven Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin location and layout was great. Downstairs bedroom has water leak in ceiling that occurs when upstairs shower is used. Beds/bedding need cleaning - some of our party had bites in the morning. Dusty. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. We left the cabin more clean and in better condition on our departure than how we found it when we arrived. Only a few portable fire pits (4) were on the grounds and they were all already taken. Thankfully our neighbors shared theirs. Overall though we had a wonderful week and stay at the Loghaven. Views, deck and location of cabin are wonderful. The above negative items are easily correctable and hopefully will be acted upon for future guests' comfort and enjoyment at the Loghaven. If these items are addressed we would definitely stay at the Loghaven again.

Snowmobiling weekend getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this cabin with another family for a three day, snowmobiling weekend. The cottage was near, clean and the perfect size for all of us. There is a spiral staircase down to a third bedroom, half bath and small sitting area. For some, I could see that being a hi derange of you had mobility issues. The kitchen was well stocked and met our needs. Parking was tight but keep in mind we had two bigger vehicles, a small trailer and a large snowmobile trailer.

Pleasant stay but repairs needed

The property was nice unless you want more space. The cabins were very close together. Our cabin had a steep spiral staircase to one of the bedrooms and 1/2 bath. Fortunately none of us have disabilities. The blinds in the downstairs bedroom were broken so we were unable to have complete privacy. I did report this to the manager and she assured me it would be repaired. Overall a nice place but we won't be staying there again.

Slice of heaven

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the front screened in porch - our favorite place to have coffee and listen to the loons in the morning. Our family has been staying at Elbert’s for 30+ years in the Loghaven. Very clean and tidy. All appliances in good working order. The beach is well maintained and a gathering area for all of us. The location of Elbert’s Is perfect for groceries, the bakery, Wolf Pack for breakfast, biking/walking, & of course The Timbers. This year we ordered lunch items for our grandkids and they ate on the beach because they were in the water and did not want to leave the beach area (we had a nice, warm week). I would highly recommend Elbert’s to any family for a very memorable vacation.

I just reserved for next year and the prices are going up again and they are trying to automatically add travel insurance. They also would not let my brother reserve his cabin. Most of the cabins need lots of work and the owners do not repair things. We have been going to Elbert's for 30 years and it is continuing to go down hill.

Loghaven at Elbert's was a beautiful cabin with perfect lake views. The historical photos on the wall were great. The cabin layout with the old time pine wall slats, big bedrooms, modern bathrooms, nice kitchen. The waterfront just steps away with VIEW, VIEWS, VIEWS from every direction made this a very memorable trip. Even though we live in Arizona, we will no doubt return next year again. Thanks Hiller's, we love you guys!

Having a young child with us the playground was a nice amenity at the resort. It was easy to check in having a key pad entry. This was nice to not worry about carrying a key and sharing it with multiple guests. The house was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials.

Better than the last two decades!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We having been going to this resort off and on for about 25 years. I loved the managers Jim and Mary, who now just keep immaculate grounds. I was concern after Hiller took over. But with the cleaning fees, I quit worrying about how clean I left everything. I liked a few upgrades. Some hand soap bars, paper towels, toilet paper, extra basket garbage bags, upgrades to Loghaven cabin. And enough utensils and dishes (including that dreaded wine opener). The company kept me informed on every question I had and checked that all was o.k. once we arrived. Overall it was a perfect 9.5 I'd give this cabin a '10' if the owners would bread down and get a T.V. larger than my desk top computer screen at home.

Our 25th year in the Loghaven

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Elberts for many years, same week, same group of people at several of the other cottages. Our girls water skiied and tubed on the lake as teenagers and now our grandchildren are starting the water activities. A family tradition we will continue for many more years!!! We love the new closed in front porch.
