The very well-maintained house, the idyllic view, ...
The very well-maintained house, the idyllic view, the relaxing ambiance, the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful beaches in the area, and—last but not least—the lovingly arranged bouquet of flowers to welcome us made our arrival a breeze.
The house features nice standard furnishings, which are also very well-maintained and consist mainly of furniture from Scandinavian furniture stores. The faucet was leaking due to a somewhat makeshift repair (duct tape), but that didn’t bother us much.
The description “Forest House with Private Beach” is misleading and confusing, especially since the house appeared in our targeted search for accommodations right on the water. In fact, the private beach is several kilometers away and accessible only by car—a detail that only becomes clear in the more detailed description. Since we specifically wanted a vacation right on the water, this wasn’t ideal.
Unfortunately, taking long walks with our dog right from the house wasn’t quite as easy, since the surrounding areas are bordered by pasture fences and the country road runs right nearby. According to the warning signs posted, you’re also not supposed to enter the forest. So, for longer walks, we had to drive a bit farther.
The homeowner was very friendly and accommodating. On the day of departure, however, we would have appreciated a bit more consideration for our privacy—which should really go without saying—so we could pack and tidy up in peace.
Overall, a truly beautiful and very well-maintained house in idyllic surroundings, where you can really unwind. Even though some things were a bit different than we’d imagined, we really appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful view.
