Bienvenido a Summer House West, ubicado en West Beach, Gulf Shores. El complejo está ubicado entre Little Lagoon y el Golfo de México.

Este actualizado 2 BR / 2. 5 BA condo es el mejor de los dos mundos! Nos sentamos directamente en Little Lagoon y al otro lado de la calle (100 yardas) del Golfo de México. ¡Es como dos vacaciones en una! Camine por la calle en busca de las olas y surfee en las playas de arena blanca o pase el día pescando, paseando en bote o descansando en Little Lagoon. Como mencionó un huésped, el paseo a la playa es más corto que algunos condominios de gran altura directamente en la playa. Condo alberga cómodamente a 6 personas.

Este condominio es una casa adosada (1,300 pies cuadrados) con los dormitorios (2) en el segundo piso, ambos con baños completos y sus propios balcones (el balcón principal da a la laguna, el balcón de la habitación de invitados tiene vista al Golfo de México). Condominio tiene 3 balcones privados en total.

El piso principal tiene la cocina, despensa, medio baño, lavandería, comedor con capacidad para 6 personas y sala de estar con dos sofás (uno es un sofá cama plegable), TV de 42 pulgadas y un balcón con vista a Little Lagoon. La cocina está completamente equipada con todos los electrodomésticos, utensilios de cocina y platos que necesitará para preparar comidas durante sus vacaciones. También tenemos una parrilla de carbón para su uso.

El complejo cuenta con una piscina, acceso a playa privada (a 100 yardas del condominio, cruzando una calle no muy transitada), un muelle de pesca y una estación de limpieza de peces, cenador con área de parrillas. Hay estacionamiento cubierto gratuito para dos autos, así como espacios adicionales para invitados.

Los huéspedes tienen acceso al armario del propietario en el garaje para usar (sillas de playa, sombrillas, juguetes de arena, flotadores, carritos de playa) y almacenar equipo personal (playa, pesca u otro).

Summer House West es un complejo pequeño y pintoresco con un total de 32 unidades. Cuenta con 3 edificios y nuestra unidad está en el edificio de atrás directamente en Little Lagoon.

* Tenga en cuenta que este es un complejo pequeño, no hay ascensor, solo escaleras. Nuestro condominio está en el segundo piso.

El Summer House West se encuentra en la zona de West Beach de Gulf Shores, a 3,5 km del corazón de Gulf Shores - The Hangout y la "T" ya 15 minutos en coche de la zona de Orange Beach.

El magnífico Little Lagoon Pass está a solo 0,5 km.

Had a a great time fishing off the dock in the lagoon!

We hung out at the beach during the day. then kicked backed and fished off of the dock in the evening. Wish we would have stayed longer!

Perfect location with easy access to the lagoon and beach

The condo was exactly what we wanted - a home away from home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you will need. The beds were so comfortable we are getting one for our house. The balconys overlooking the lagoon were so relaxing I spent most of my time there. Whether you want beach time or kayaking/fishing on the lagoon, this condo has you covered.

First rate property

We loved it! Having quick access and views of both the lagoon and gulf was definitely a plus. The unit was comfy, clean and had pretty much everything we could need ... and owners Carrie and Robert were very accessible for any questions we might have. We are definitely hoping to be able to come back.

Easily a Top Five Destination

As a family, we have stayed in lodging that runs the gambit from tiny and quaint to enormous and extravagant, but the SummerHouse fit right in the “Goldilocks” spot of our family’s needs and expectations and provided the ideal home away from home we wanted. Simply can’t say enough about how refreshing it is to enjoy the quiet location slightly out of the bustle of the tourism centers, but still only a couple of minutes away from the some of the best food in the Gulf. The homeowners were a pleasure to work with and removed all guess work and confusion one typically sees in a common rental. But that’s just it; SummerHouse is no common rental and surpasses all expectations for its price point. We brought home fond memories and thankful sentiments for SummerHouse. THANK YOU!!

Immaculate condo with great views!

We stayed at this property during spring break 2018. We found the condo to be super clean, comfortable and provide excellent views from the balconies. There is ample sleeping space as well. I will say, the stairs up to the condo could be trying for an elderly person or someone with health issues. Overall, we thought the condo was great, the owners were fantastic to work and we would stay here again.

Very nice.

My son and I enjoyed being able to walk right down to water to fish or across the street to just relax on beach. Did not have to get in my car when I arrived and enjoyed not having to fight traffic. The condo was very nice and clean. Loved all the balconies. They were nice to sit on while drinking a cup of coffee.

Fantastic condo, location and owners

The condo was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The location is unbeatable, and Carrie is as nice a person as you will ever meet. A few times in your life you will be lucky enough to correspond with someone who, even though you’ve never met them before, it feels like you’re talking to a lifelong friend. That is how I would describe Carrie. Extremely caring and helpful. The weather during our stay was perfect and we have no complaints or issues whatsoever. Hopefully someday we can book this place again. Thanks again for allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo!

Best of both worlds

This was perfect for our family. My husband isn’t a “beach” person so being next to the lagoon felt like he was relaxing by the lake, but the kids and I had a short & easy (less than 5 min) walk to the ocean. Host was instantly responsive and helpful. The condo and outdoor closet were perfectly stocked with essentials. There was even a variety of items for babies & toddlers. Location was convenient to shopping & restaurants. There are lots of stairs so make sure your party is ok with that. My ONLY complaint was that the upstairs stayed a little warmer than the downstairs/ AC wasn’t getting it quite as cool as we’d like but it wasn’t unbearable. Weather and heat index was very hot and humid so I’m sure that’s why it was struggling. Highly recommend this property! We had a great time!

great time on our first snowbird experience

We loved this unit on the Lagoon..loved the birds on it, the fact we could walk our cat along the shore ( can't do that on the beach)..love being down the beach from the center of town. the furnishing were very good, Just a couple things kept me from giving it 5 stars .. one the cleaning could be a little better ( Carrie is addressing it with the cleaners) the heat is uneven ..in order to have upstairs comfortable downstairs had to be overly warm. Advice for other renters..first the 38 stairs they warn you about is real so pack light because you have to carry everything up and down. and bring at least one sharp knife( all the ones there are super dull)

Perfect for EVERYONE

If your family has some that prefer to fish and catch crabs like my husband and 11 year old boys and some that prefer to lay on the beach and listen to the waves like me, this place is absolutely for you!!! It is directly on the lagoon with no condos blocking your view and a quick walk across to the beach. Absolutely perfect location! This is our second time to stay with Carrie and Robert and they are such amazing hosts! Everything is exactly as presented and communication is great! The condo is a great size! There was plenty of space for all of us to stretch out and be comfy and having the washer/dryer to use while at the beach is a plus! We also love that we can use their closet of beach supplies! This is such a great place! We can't wait to come back!!!

Nice stay

We stayed 4 nights at this condo. Pros: Location. Access to both the Little Lagoon and across the street from the beach access. 2. Communication between the owners was excellent. 3. Not that we did a lot of cooking, but the kitchen seemed adequate stocked with cooking supplies. 4. Having a 3 balconies was excellent because everyone had a private spot! Cons: 1. We found the beds to be uncomfortable. 2. Needs a leather couch instead of fabric. The couch felt like sunscreen and sand. We placed a sheet over it to use.

Great hosts and beautiful property

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. Robert and Carrie responded to all messages within minutes if not seconds. It was very clean and well stocked. We would recommend it to everyone (unless you have a problem with stairs). Great hosts a d great property!!!

Best of Both Worlds

My family of five enjoyed SHW, having the best of both worlds- the beach and the lagoon! My husband loves to fish so this was the perfect spot for us. I was so thankful to have the peaceful lagoon when the beach waves were too rough for children. There was plenty of room and it was a great home away from home. The pool in the complex was nice too! We had a great rental experience and we will be back again!

Great place to stay for our first visit to Gulf Shores.

Property was as stated in listing, very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and property owner was very accessible and checked in on us several times to make sure everything was going smoothly. Location is in a mostly beach house area so traffic volume was low and flowed smoothly near the condo but was still just a few minutes from, food, shopping, attractions, and Gulf State Park. The property like the majority of other places in the area are on stilts and do require access to the room by stairs, just something to keep in mind if you have difficulty with stairs. The lagoon behind the property was very nice, we enjoyed bird watching, fishing, wading, and watching the sun rise and set from our balcony. There are 3 private balconies total in the unit. Each bedroom has a balcony and there is also one off the living room downstairs. The beach access is just across the street and easy to get to. This stretch of beach wasn’t overly crowded but was busy enough without everyone being right on top of each other. Overall a wonderful stay and we look forward to visiting again.

Our family fell in love with the Gulf Shores area over a couple of years visiting. We enjoy exploring new areas, but Gulf Shores kept calling us back!

We enjoy vacation time that offers a little bit of everything-water sports, nature, local spots for food and drink, good people to share the time, shelling, walking and relaxing on the beach, entertainment for kids that doesn't break the bank, amazing sunsets to cap off the day, and a comfortable place to call home for the week! We found all of that and more here at Summer House West!

We love Summer House West! We were drawn to the location because, for us, it is in the best spot in the Gulf Shores area-- away from the crowds, but close enough for convenience and fun. We love being on the water, nestled between the lagoon and the Gulf - it truly is the best of both worlds! Summer House West has a laid back, cozy feel. We know friends and family and guests will find it as warm and inviting as we do! Enjoy!

Gulf Shores is a city on Alabama's Gulf Coast. Its Gulf State Park has beaches, trails and a pier, plus a golf course and a zip line over the dunes. To the west, sea turtles and migratory birds thrive among the coastal habitats of Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Farther west, 19th-century Fort Morgan guards Mobile Bay. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo offers hands-on encounters with lemurs, kangaroos and sloths.
