Heaven in Carlsbad

Our stay in Carlsbad was fantastic. The home could not be better! It has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Walking distance to everywhere, beautiful patio, ocean breezes, quiet street, and a house with everything you need and more! We will be back!

Heaven on earth!

I can't say enough about this property!! It is absolutely perfect, the location couldn't be better and this home has everything you could ever need and more. There were fresh flowers and chilled wine waiting for us on arrival, how fabulous! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Great summer get away

House is wonderful, clean, stocked. Location was steps away from everywhere. Only recommendation would be an extra fan. Will happily return!!!!!

Wonderful stay

We had a great experience staying at this property! It is a charming and very clean house with a perfect location close to the beach and an easy walk to Carlsbad. The owners couldn't have been more helpful or communicative. The added little touches of having a few basics in the refrigerator and a fully stocked kitchen made it stand out in comparison to other properties we have stayed at. The hot tub was very enjoyable and we also had the use of boogie boards etc. We would highly recommend!

Cute, wonderfully equipped cottage by the sea

This cottage is a perfect size for a family of 4. It is very close to 2 public beach accesses, making a mid day nap for our toddler very easy. There are beach toys, boogie boards and beach towels available for use. The kitchen is extremely well accessorized, including a french press, cast iron pans and a spiralizer. The coffee and wine at check in was greatly appreciated. The whole trip was lovely and we hope to return in the future!

Wonderful!

My husband and I stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave! Crista and Chris were very accommodating, great communication throughout the process. The house is absolutely adorable, very comfortable, clean and completely stocked. We could listen to the ocean from our patio in the morning while we had our coffee, very peaceful. A short walk up the road to the beach and also the center of town for some shopping. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic location for beach and village!

Crista and Chris were wonderful hosts who provided us with everything we needed for a great stay. The house was appointed with all the comforts of home! It was perfect for us and our two teenagers. The backyard has a large table and chairs, gas bbq and hot tub which was a fantastic way to celebrate July 4th with some local friends! The house is perfectly located one short block to the beach and it was great to have beach chairs, boogie boards and an umbrella provided. It was only 2 blocks walk to Carlsbad Village which is full of great restaurants and shopping. Everything about our stay was terrific and we would absolutely stay here again!!

A perfect spot!

We loved our getaway at the beach! The house was spotless, very well equipped, and the location is perfect - just behind the beach, the walk to beach entrance is about 1/2 block - the kids didn't even put on shoes. It was great to have the beach chairs and boogie boards; the outdoor table was perfect for dinner. Being at the beach it was nice to also have the large size washer and dryer! Hosts were very available by text and everything was very smooth.

Cute adobe cottage in a wonderful location

Close to the village, right on Ocean, a great place to enjoy the beach in the less busy part. Chris was very accommodating and easy to work with. We will be back.

Fantastic ! One of the nicest overall places we have stayed !!

This little beach cottage is truly a gem, in Carlsbad. We have stayed at many different places in Carlsbad over the years, (we come about 2 -3 times per year for the last 15 years) and this was by far one of the best places we have stayed! If you are looking for a relaxing place, super close to the beach, then this is the perfect place for you. It is located about 3 blocks from Carlsbad village Dr, so close enough to walk to all of the amenities but far enough away to clear all of the tourist activity. The house is located about 200 feet from the public beach access (that has just been remodeled ) so perfect for easy access for an all day beach trip or a quick minute to put your feet in the sand. Honestly for us, our favorite thing about this place was how well it is furnished, everything you could imagine needing on your vacation is there, most places have some creature comforts but this place is ridiculously well furnished. We usually wind up eating out quite a bit on our vacations due to just not having the things we need from basic cooking utensils to spices and other small things, that being said we cooked almost every day because we had everything we needed. One of the things that we are always nervous about is the bedding, but all of the bedding was amazing, mattresses were very comfortable and all of the linens were really high quality. We were even impressed by the fact that they had nice toilet paper! The patio was sooooo nice to have, and having an out door shower to rinse off after the beach and then get in the hot tub was perfect. The outdoor shower even had hot water ( how cool is that ) ?? So to sum it all up, this place is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for that home away from home, and we will definitely be coming back!!!

Perfect house with perfect location

This house is in great condition, in a great location - just across the street from a great beach, and walkable few blocks to many restaurants/shops in the quaint downtown Carlsbad Village. The owners were very helpful, professional and attentive. The back patio, with string lighting, portable heater, gas grill, hot tub and outdoor shower was perfect. We'd definitely recommend this to anyone!

Crista Swan has been a local real estate broker since 2000 and is currently a Senior Project Manager for a real estate consultanting corporation. Chris Swan works in the tech industry. We live here as a primary residence 10 of the 12 months of the year. The other two months, we stay in the adjoining unit. Inside and outside curtains are closed and sound blankets are hung for additional privacy to our guests.
