Bienvenido a la ubicación perfecta para sus vacaciones!

Disfrute de las magníficas vistas del Mar de Cortés, del agua turquesa, delfines nadadores y de las arenas blancas de Sandy Beach.

Hemos tenido mucho cuidado en brindar a nuestros huéspedes las comodidades del hogar en nuestro hermoso condominio con capacidad para 6 huéspedes en este condominio de 2 dormitorios.

El mar de Sonora tiene 3 piscinas frente al mar y 2 jacuzzis. El bar de la piscina climatizada tiene bebidas heladas y comida sabrosa con especialidades de happy hour todos los días. Se le permite traer un refrigerador a la piscina aquí en el Mar de Sonora. (No botellas de vidrio)

Más allá de la cubierta de la piscina se encuentra el hermoso mar, si Cortez. Relájese bajo una palapa en una tumbona o traiga su propia silla de playa. Para una experiencia relajante disfrute de un masaje en la playa. ¿Te gustan las actividades? ¡Encontrará motos acuáticas, motos acuáticas, kayaks, botes de vela, botes banana, paseos a caballo y mucho más! También echa un vistazo a las sabrosas golosinas disponibles en los vendedores de la playa local.

We have stayed at Sonoran Sea many times, but this is the first time we have booked this unit. Highly recommend! The unit is beautiful, well maintained, and equipped with everything you need. Fantastic condo

Condo was everything we had hoped it would be. Our first time there, but not our last. Everything there, only need food, and of course drinks! Can't beat the view, we were there in mid January. You can see the sunrise and sunset from the deck. Will definitely be back. Resort was not overrun with people, and very clean. The restaurant had some of the best seafood I've had, and it was cheap.

Great time

Great area, host was prompt with replies to my questions. Condo was stocked with the necessities. I really like the keyless lock. Only issue you can’t get in condo early as it is programmed for a certain time.

As my listing states check-in to the condo is at 4 pm. Guests are welcome to come as early as 1 to get their wristbands and have full use of the facilities and beach and get their vacation started. Our cleaning ladies need enough time to come in and get our home clean and ready for our next guests. Glad you had a wonderful time and we hope to host you again in the future. ☺️

I have stayed here twice now

I chose to stay here a second time because of how amazing the first stay was. It was perfect for my three daughters and I. In the extra room there are two full size beds and across is a nice sized bathroom. The furniture is beautiful and updated. The master bedroom and bathroom are clean and comfortable. They have 3 tvs with access to Netflix and etc. the patio is a great size and the view is gorgeous. The kitchen is well equipped although I don’t cook much 😜the family I stayed with stayed in a condo that they were very disappointed in. It’s very important to go off ratings and this condo has great ones! Thanks Grace, we will stay again.

Sonoran Sun with a Great View

Overall my family enjoyed the visit. Pros: Fantastic view. All of the rooms are so close to the beach compared to most of the Sandy Beach properties. The AC was cold. Plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. I liked that security allowed the kids to have fun in the pool unlike Las Palomas which is too strict. Also allowed coolers by the pool so you could bring your own beer. Used the washing machine and dryer everyday, which makes it easier to pack less. Cons: Strong smell of sewer gas in the unit upon arrival. I went to all of the drains and dumped water into them to make sure the P-traps were full. This worked, however I would prefer the owner or housekeeping staff to do this before someone arrives. The appliances worked but are in need of replacement especially the dishwasher racks that are rusted and busted. There was only salt and pepper in the kitchen. I am used to having more spices and other comforts with Puerto Penasco rental condos. Bring your own with you if renting this unit. The pool with the swim up bar was uncomfortably warm. Not sure why it would be heated in June.

Good Afternoon Darrin, I wish to thank you and your family for staying at our Condo in the Sonora Sea Resort…I do apologize for the items that are in our Control being the Dishwasher not I great condition during your stay and we take care of that issue right away…and I appreciate you bringing this to my attention! The odor in the Condo upon your arrival…this is something that does happen from time to time More so in the hotter months…it does however dissipate very shortly after using the sinks in the Condo as this happens when the Drains in the Condo are dry from none use. The Pool Bar…This time of year they do not heat the Swim-up Bar…they actually have to heat the Water only in the Winter Months as this time of year with the 90 Degree + Temps we have there is no need to spend thousands of dollars for propane…we just have mother nature heat the water for us…even the Ocean this time of year can be in the mid 80’s. Spices in the Condo…for the Most part property owners do different things to accommodate their guests…but supplying spices I think would be lower on the list due the fact we have many different ethnic groups/people from all over the World come to Penasco throughout the Year…the Spices you have in the Condo are mainly left from previous Renters for other people to enjoy…if we were to try and accommodate all the different people and their taste for spices we probably would not have any room for the dishes, Pots and Pans, Coffee Makers, Toaster Ovens, Blenders and things of that nature that Renters tend to use more often…this I’m sure is standard in all the Resorts…I do suggest to anyone traveling outside of the U.S. into Mexico or any other Country for that matter to bring your own spices as you may not find the Special mixtures here in Mexico or the countries you travel.…This also goes for Shampoo and Soaps…this most travelers know to bring and do anyway as everyone has different skin types and Hair types and colors and to use other than their regular products may be damaging and ruin their vacation. Other than that…I wish to thank you again for spending your vacation here in Puerto Penasco and in hopes for a better experience on your next trip to Mexico to bring your own spices. Awesome stay

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace's property at Sonoran Sea Resort. The location can't be beat as far as restaurants Garufa Steakhouse, Mare Blu Italian Restaurant (about a mile away) and the restaurant on property was really delicious. You almost don't need to go to the Malecon because everything is super close by. There's even a shopping district called "Rodeo Drive" nearby, where the shop owners are not as aggressive as they are in the Malecon. As far as the condo, it's well equipped with everything you need. We had a few hiccups during our stay but Grace was very responsive to our concerns. My only complaint was that the resort's pools were kind of cold, but your body will get used to it after a few minutes. And one of the pools and hot tub were closed. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed our stay. Thank you Grace!

Great apartment by the sea

We stayed for a family beach vacation and thoroughly enjoyed it. The view of the sea is breathtaking and the beach is just downstairs. The restaurant at the resort serves delicious sea food and even delivers to the room. We are looking forward to our next trip to Rocky Point already.

When my husband Rich and I moved to Arizona from New Jersey, we thought we had given up going down the shore. We soon found out about beautiful Sandy Beach in Puerto Penasco aka Rocky Point, only 3 1/2 hours away from home in the Chandler, AZ. Once we took our first trip down, we were hooked! After years of going to Sandy Beach and staying at every resort, we narrowed down our favorite and bought our dream vacation condo at the Sonoran Sea. We invite you to take a vacation spree at The Sonoran Sea and become one of regular guests.

Our Pool Bar Happy Hour specials are Drinks 12-1 pm & 4-5 pm, Taco's 2-3 pm. They also have a great menu. If you choose you can bring your own cooler with drinks/food to the pools, we just ask that you do not bring glass bottles.
We are walking distance to restaurants, nightlife, water activities. Everything you need is right here at The Sonoran Sea.
