El Kingfisher Chalet es una acogedora casa de vacaciones con increíbles vistas del lago Keuka. Ubicado en 6 acres privados y boscosos en el lado este de Keuka a mitad de camino entre Hammondsport y Penn Yan. Cerca de varias bodegas de primera categoría, restaurantes y todo lo que la región de Finger Lakes tiene para ofrecer. Le encantará el amplio porche para tomar un café por la mañana, asar a la parrilla y cenar, y tomar una copa de vino mientras observa las increíbles puestas de sol.

What a great spot to stay. The rental was clean, comfortable and spacious. Towels were supplied as well as linens and kitchen towels. The deck overlooking the lower section of houses and the lake was wonderful. There were rocking chairs and we spent a lot of time enjoying the view. Property is close to wineries, breweries, restaurants and hiking. It was a great long weekend.

The property exceeded our expectations. Everything was very neat and clean. The location was wonderful. The view overlooking the lake was just fabulous. Kate was a great host. The communication was great, and she checked in to make everything was okay. We hope to be coming back in the early fall.

Reunion

We got together with school friends we haven’t seen in 60 years. Beautiful view. Wonderful house…room for all of us and very clean. We were very comfortable. The perfect place to share tears and laughter. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend time in the region.

Great Lake views

We had a great stay and enjoyed the front porch. Next time we go, I will get some firewood and marshmellos for the fire pit! Convenient to nice wineries and family also staying on Keuka.

Girls Weekend

This was a long weekend for us, girls! It was a relaxing weekend to enjoy time together. Kate was wonderful! Extremely responsive and helpful with ideas of places to visit and enjoy.

Peaceful cottage at a great location

We had a great stay at this Keuka Lake Chalet. Our favorite was the big balcony with the view. We liked the location ans access to wineries and restaurants and multiple rooms in the chalet. The laundry room was so helpful traveling wirb kids. Thank you for a very responsive host and a great stay

Great View

We, two couples stayed at Kingfisher. House was comfortable and convenient to Finger Lakes wine tasting, Corning Glass, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Women's Right Museum in Senaca Falls, Watkins Glen. View from the front deck was awesome. There were a few minor problems, but the Owner rectified them quickly. We would stay there again.

We stayed her for a week in September. Watching the lake from the decks around the house was our favorite thing about the house! Close to lots of great wineries, we ate in every night due to Covid but a couple of restaurants are in the area, wish there were more! Kate was a very good host!

Our ladies of the lakes loved our stay

It was perfect. Only glitch was the bedrooms downstairs. No door on the master and bathroom access was obtained going through the master bedroom. We worked it out ! 😁host was incredible to work with!

Nice getaway at the Kingfisher

Gorgeous view and very comfortable home. Loved sitting on the deck or in the living room and watching the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with a large variety of equipment and basics. Lots of towels. We enjoyed taking the kids to play grounds so didn't have a chance to enjoy the nearby adult activities.

Great location and home for family getaway!

We had a great stay at the house over the Fourth of July!! Kate was a great host and checked in on us. The view from the deck is wonderful and the house is in a great location to access all the towns around Keuka Lake. We had five adults and one toddler and had plenty of room and were very comfortable. Even in very hot weather, AC worked well. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals. We also used the grill and sat outside. We could even see a few fireworks from the deck on the 4th! Highly recommend the home.

Couples Weekend at The Lake

The views from this rental are absolutely beautiful. The outdoor dining furniture was very dirty and rusted. The refrigerator/freezer did not work during our stay and resulted in our food going bad. The home was clean and the kitchen adequate. All enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evening watching the sunset.

Master celebration

Kingfisher is a beautiful property and the view of the lake from the front porch. It's absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything that you could possibly need. The host and the manager are amazing. We had a little hiccup the power and the electric. Kate and Renee, we're very responsive and absolutely wonderful in handling the situation and everything that we needed. You could not ask for a better host and manager.

Quick Getaway

We visited with our adult children and their spouses. We had six total in our party and had plenty of room to be comfortable. Communication with the host was excellent.The location overall was great. It was convenient to everything we had planned for our trip. We cooked our evening meals at home and had most of what we needed in order to prepare them. The only items that were "lacking" ....we didn't really have any containers to store leftover items in and we could have used a couple more dish towels for drying dishes as we only found one and it got wet pretty fast drying dishes for six people. The view was really nice and we enjoyed having our coffee on the porch before it got too hot for the day. It is a busy road so the noise level in the morning as people commuted was a bit much but we didn't notice it at all from inside the property. Overall we really enjoyed the property and definitely hope to return!!

I grew up in Dundee and continue to visit the Finger Lakes region every summer. My family has deep roots in the area and I think the area has so much to offer. After living in Vermont, Washington DC, Providence, and Portugal, I now live in Chicago with my partner and our rescue dog Scout. We love to travel for skiing, wine-tasting, and visiting friends and family. Some of our hobbies include cycling / triathlon, birdwatching, live music, and indulging in good food and libations.

We bought this house in November 2017 as a rental property but also plan to enjoy it with our family and friends. The house was previously named Keuka View Cottage and was rented successfully for several years. We love the large porch for gathering with family and friends and the calming views of Keuka Lake. The east side of Keuka Lake is well-known for its beautiful sunsets and there is no better place to catch a "sundowner" than The Kingfisher. The house has a lot of charm and is perfect for a small family / group or 2-3 couples traveling with or without small children.

The porch is what made us fall in love with this home. The views of the lake are spectacular and can be enjoyed from the front and side porch as well as most interior rooms. The property is on 6 secluded acres which creates a truly secluded setting. The living area is also cozy and relaxing.

The location is centrally located for the taking in all the Finger Lakes region has to offer. You're close to the Keuka and Seneca Lake Wine Trails, public swimming areas, marinas to rent boats or kayaks, hiking trails, the quaint villages of Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Dundee and Watkins Glen, the Windmill Farm & Craft Market, Watkins Glen Speedway, Corning Glass, The Smith Opera House in Geneva, The Farm Sanctuary, and fantastic local eateries including The Olney Place Market & Deli, The Switzerland Inn, Pleasant Valley Inn, Union Block Bistro, The Seneca Lodge, Tabora Farm & Winery, FLX Weinery, and much more.

The Olney Place Market & Deli is less than 2 miles away and offers everything under the sun including warm sticky buns, coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the AM, freshly made sandwiches for lunch, craft beer to-go, snacks and other provisions, and a vibrant taproom with top-notch craft beers and ciders. Go have a bite and beer overlooking Keuka Lake and mix with other visitors and locals.

The area is a haven for bicyclists, runners and triathletes. You will find many scenic country roads and we're happy to make recommendations. For the hard-core cyclists or runners you will find some very, very steepest hills just 2-3 miles from the house. Or just take it easy and take a mellow ride....It's vacation after all. ;-)
