The house was fantastic. It was well stocked, very clean, and the welcome basket was a very nice surprise. We have been to the Finger Lakes 4 years in a row now and this location was perfect for all of the wineries around Pan Yan.The only thing that was different was that there were zero tv’s in the house. It does say it in the description of the house house, but it was odd. Overall this is a great place to stay, well worth the price, and we would definitely stay there again.

The home itself was gorgeous and so spacious. It was fully stocked with so many things that were such nice touches. The property manager is so responsive and lovely. We all felt so at home. Will absolutely stay again!

What a relaxing location

Summer Finger Lakes Family Retreat

Lovely home in a welcoming and peaceful setting. Nice location for access to various activities. All amenities desired were provided. Kitchen and dining area conducive to successful family dining experience.

All you need and more

We were in town for a wedding. This house and the location had everything we needed. The back porch overlooking the large yard provided peacefulness I didn’t know I needed. The basement had plenty of games for us to enjoy during any down time we had. The bedrooms were spacious and plenty of extra , comfy blankets to keep you warm during the colder nights. I’d stay here again because it would be a place I would purchase as a vacation home. Can’t recommend this house and all it has to offer. The welcome basket was the cherry on top for us. Thank you for allowing our family to make memories in your home.

The property was very clean and in a quiet area. We had no issues settling in and the home was stocked with anything we could need from a full kitchen to toiletries to children's toys and activities. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area!

Solved the March Blues

We had two (2) couples getting out of the house for a March sanity check and we had a very good weekend. The While Away Cottage is perfectly equipped to handle 3 couples, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths The house and property is very clean - and they had everything you'd need including a fully stocked coffee bar. We are local so we know where "we are going" and this location was perfect for us. Penn Yan and a few great breweries, wineries and distilleries are 10 minutes We had a fabulous time and fully intend to book again.

Will rent again. Very nice house

2 couples, stayed there in mid November. House inside and out is practically brand new. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of towels and linens. It was cold while we were there, but the outside deck is very large and spacious. Grill could use some help, and there are no TVs. Basement is a plus, but we didn't use it. Property manager lives right across the street and greeted us when we arrived to make sure everything was in order. When we come to the finger lakes, we will rent this house again.

Everything they offered on line was true. They were very accommodating. I will say the coffee pot was dated with pot and Keurig. :-) My family were all adults and we were all very pleased. Thank you!!

Charming cottage

This cottage was more like a home. Everything that you would want at your fingertips was there, plus so much more. Everything is super clean and updated and the owners are wonderful. We had a problem starting the fire pit, and with one phone call, the Ivan was there to replace the propane tank

Immaculate place

Our stay was amazing. The place was newer, immaculate, and so cozy. The coffee bar was great. We spent lot of time on the patio enjoying the peace and quiet and taking in the backyard. Although we don’t have small children the finished playroom in the basement was adorable, and the air hockey and pool table was fun for us adults. It was the perfect place for a family vacation.

House was clean and well appointed. (kitchen) Kids had fun playing games and reading books. We had heavy rain one day and the basement flooded but owners came quickly and resolved the problem. All in all, fun place to stay!

A perfect stay

We had a great time at this property. The house was super clean and had everything you would need for a great stay. The owners even left us a little welcome basket complete with waffle mix and maple syrup...a very nice touch. So close to the lake, which we were looking for. A huge property, which the pictures don't do it justice. I wish I brought a badminton net! However, the owners have lots of outdoor games. My only suggestion (and this is a reach as everything was great) is that the fire pit (which we loved) is a little far away from the house and there were no chairs available, so we had to carry the deck chairs down to the pit, which is a bit of a walk as the property is so big. Would recommend some outdoor chairs, which were viewable in the pictures of the house so we didn't bring any. Other than that small thing we loved everything about this place. They had everything you would need, even extra tooth paste! Amazing time. Thank you to the property owners for making our stay so nice!

Beautiful, clean house. It’s well stocked, including a playroom the kids loved. Hosts are responsive and kind. Can’t wait to return next year.

New, clean, and well-stocked. Nice play space for young children in the basement. Located on a quiet country road in a lovely rural area. Hosts were very responsive to any concerns. We had a delightful stay.

Great house!

The house is super clean and very well stocked. We cooked dinner (on the grill) and breakfast at the house and it was really nice - great kitchen. Overall really enjoyed our stay.
