Bienvenido a Aspen Overlook

Aspen Overlook es una cabaña de montaña bien equipada, ubicada cerca de la cima de la montaña de esquí de los Apalaches, a menos de una milla de las pistas de esquí. Ubicada a solo minutos del centro de Boone y Blowing Rock, esta casa cuenta con un cómodo acceso a todo lo que necesitas para tu estadía.

El nivel principal cuenta con una cómoda sala de estar con vistas a la montaña provista por la pared de ventanas en el lado de la cubierta. La cocina tiene un toque retro y nuevos electrodomésticos y encimeras, lo que le da un estilo único. Los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de la vista completa de la montaña mientras comen desde la mesa alta o desde el espacio de comedor al aire libre en la terraza. En la planta baja hay una sala de juegos con mesa de billar, televisión de alta definición y muebles cómodos.

El espacio de la cubierta trasera y el patio son perfectos para disfrutar de la vista y para relajarte como quieras. La cubierta se extiende a lo largo de la casa y es un gran punto de vista para una vista panorámica. Convenient location

The property was conveniently located and comfortable. The property manager was responsive to our needs which made they stay pleasant.

This is our second stay and we love this old house. It’s rustic beauty brings me back each time.

Renters are easy to work with and always deal with any problem right away. I think the recliner in the family is ready to be replaced. Other than that all was great!!

Wonderful views! Amazing home!If you have a large vehicle they do have very sharp turns up the mountain. We had a large truck and luckily made it slowly and cautiously up and down. Quick drive to and from grocery stores and wonderful recommendations in guestbook!

Doesn't get much better

Our family with two young kids had a great time here. The place was clean, kitchen was well equipped for at-home meals, the rooms and beds were cozy, the hot tub and grill were well-maintained and worked well for us. We connected our own devices to the screens when necessary for shows, though cable was available. Easy access to Blowing Rock or Boone. It was the hottest week of the year so far, but in this area it was 10-15 degrees cooler. I biked down the mountain to the parkway every day for a good ride. And as the picture indicates, the view from the house is spectacular. Would love to stay again in fall or winter as well.

Amazing view!!!

Our family get together was great! The house met all of our needs and then some. The hot tub and pool table were an added bonus. The view from the house is priceless. We only have one complaint. We encountered ants (small and large in the kitchen and living room) during our stay. It's an older house so this is somewhat understandable but it still took away from our overall experience.

Beautiful view, great location, not very clean

The view was stunning and the location was great. As other people have mentioned, you are somewhat secluded in the mountains but it is an easy drive to both Blowing Rock and Boone. I was, however, disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. - both trash cans were full in the kitchen when we arrived - sheets in the upstairs guest room had crunchy debris between them (made me wonder if they were changed since last use) - there were crumbs and dirt under the kitchen cabinets. I was able to locate the vacuum and clean with the hose attachment - the dining table was sticky, which was partly the finish (which is fine), but when I wiped it down the cloth was visibly dirty - this is not necessarily attributed to cleanliness, but just mountain living.. do not leave food or dirty dishes on the counter to the right of the sink, ants will come marching in. We had a relaxing stay and enjoyed the area, it was just unfortunate that the space was not fully cleaned before our arrival.

Great view and easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock

We like to stay in this neighborhood and have done so multiple times because of the easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Blue Ridge parkway. Its a 10 minute drive to main street in blowing rock. The views are amazing from this home. Kids loved the downstairs game room. The hot tub was a bit dirty upon our arrival. Property management fixed the issue the next day. Good responsiveness, but would have been better if the hot tub was clean to start. This is minor, but the living room TV has three remote controls. It's a bit confusing.

Great little place for a weekend getaway

Cozy little home with a great view. When we arrived, a tech was onsite fixing an issue with the TV. We weren't made aware a tech would be there when we arrived, and he ended up being there for quite some time, but it was nice to see the owners be proactive in making sure things were fixed for their guests, and overall the tech was very pleasant. There was construction going on next door which made for noisy mornings, but that can't really be helped -- though would have been nice to be made aware of that. Overall a great stay and would stay again.

amazing views

3 women friends from college wanted a post-covid get-together. 2 of the friends had not visited the area before and had a wonderful time. The only thing that might present a problem is the availability of Uber or Lyft. The house takes some twists and turns (mountain roads) and if you are unfamiliar with the area its not a good idea to drive them at night after a glass of wine or two with dinner.

Amazing Stay!

We are both graduates of App State and loved this place for a nice getaway from Raleigh. The house is unique to the area and has nice upgrades. The heater in the bathrooms were a nice touch and the gas logs inside, gas fire pit outside, and hot tub were great. Great views of App Ski Mnt and you can hear the Tweetsie train a few times as well, which we enjoyed. Even though you are up the mountain and can see forever, you are about 3 miles from downtown boone and blowing rock. Great location and great house! We will certainly seek out to stay again.

Appalachian ski trip stay

I very much enjoyed this house. However, the dishes were dirty in the dishwasher and the appliances hadn’t been wiped down. This wouldn’t have been a big deal except.. Covid. The bathroom in the basement room wasn’t super clean either. Otherwise, the house was great. The floors were clean, the beds looked great, the game room was fun and the hot tub had a great view of the ski mountain. We really loved our time there!

Charming house with a fabulous view

We loved staying at this house! It is so charming, clean, and the view is AMAZING! It is in a great location with minutes drive to Appalachian Ski Mountain and Blowing Rock, and convenient to Boone. We also had fun playing pool and enjoying the large selection of board games and dvds. I will say that there are no pantry staples so be prepared for that if you’re planning on cooking. The only thing that was there was canola oil. I did leave behind some salt for the next guest. The dishwasher was also still loaded when we arrived. Unloading other peoples’ dishes when I l’m on vacation is not exactly what I want to do upon arrival. But these are very minor things and I just mention them to prepare the next guests. We absolutely would stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Perfect Stay

Aspen Overlook was wonderful! Our family of 5 truly enjoyed this house. It was spacious and comfortable and the view is amazing. The renovations were beautiful! The house has everything you need to include a beautiful hot tub and pool table, puzzles, games, books, and is in a perfect location. It is minutes from skiing, the cute Blowing Rock downtown and grocery store, and an easy drive to hiking and snow tubing. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and relaxing

We enjoyed our recent week at this cabin. It was beautiful and very comfortable. Our only issue we had was the swing bolt broke downstairs and injured my 10 year olds foot. It was repaired next day thankfully. I would recommend just to the owners to invest in a cover or roof of some sort to the porch to help make the outdoor space useable during rain to help visitors still be able to enjoy the outside even if they are cursed with bad weather on their stay. The downstairs gets just as wet below deck, that didn’t stop us from using the hot tub in the rain. 😊 We will definitely be back as the location is phenomenal and the drive up the mountain wasn’t bad. And I absolutely loved the big windows in the living room.

Aspen Overlook - October 2020

Our second time staying at Aspen Overlook. Good location, many amenities, great view and deck, and well furnished. Unfortunately we had 2 issues with the pilot light on the fireplace. The light just went out and would not relight. You guys took care of it within 24 hours. The light went out again the day before we left..... I reported to the staff who arrived as we were leaving

Amazing!

The view was absolutely gorgeous! My family and I enjoyed our wonderful, fun, and peaceful stay at the Aspen Overlook. The house is a bit outdated, but other than that, we think it was such a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Wonderful house with breathtaking views

Loved the home and the views were amazing. This house had everything that you could want. The outdoor fire pit was amazing and the house was excellent. My only issue was that the dishwasher upon arrival was full of dirty dishes. This was in no way the fault of the owner but the cleaning service could have done a better job. Other than that this house is heaven.

Great Place!

We very much enjoyed the house! Great times were had the couple days we were there. Unfortunately it was during the Corona Virus outbreak so everything was closed so we pretty much stayed there the whole time. I inspected the hot tub when we arrived at 5oclock and it was dirty with rocks and dirt in the bottle of it. Called but no one was available to come til the next day til 1pm. Also the fireplace worked the first night then pilot went out. Called again to have someone come out. Chris showed up and addressed both issues. But the fireplace continued to go out. I chose not to keep lighting it due to maybe getting the gas running and blowing me up. The kitchen had a weird odor but I felt like it was like a cabin musty smell that was just there. Overall we had a wonderful time and would come again for sure when the town is open. We saw deer come through the yard, enjoyed coffee in the morning, billiards during the day and grilling out as night with the fire pit. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Comfy, cozy, and charming

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Aspen Overlook. The house is very comfy, cozy, and charming and we felt very at home there. We enjoyed reading about the renovations to the house the current owners have done. It was neat to see the before and after pictures! The views are beautiful! It is just a short drive to everywhere, but you feel secluded and "away from it all" while you are at the house. We had just about everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is well stocked (but lacked a 9x13 inch pan, rolling pin, and electric hand mixer. While those aren't standard necessities at vacation homes, they would have come in handy, as our family likes preparing meals in.) We made wonderful memories and would definitely consider staying at Aspen Overlook again in the future!
